Did you have a good Diwali. We had gulab jamuns and jelebis.

The gulabs were mini ones that Dad found in the frozen section of the Indian grocery and they were delicious.

So very very sweet and cute to boot.

Dad said when he was little they didn’t get sweets very often so it was a big treat at Diwali when they did.

Ma told me she only experienced Diwali once in India itself and it was like Christmas on steroids. That was 39 years ago!!!!

It strikes me that there are many similarities between most of the big religious festivals. It’s all about light coming out of darkness and good triumphing over evil.

Wonder why sweets always get involved too. Maybe it’s something to do with overcoming bitterness.

Regardless I enjoyed and hope to polish off some more this evening.

Well we made up for Saturday by having a lovely Sunday.

It rained all day so trots were tiny.

Having nothing else to do but watch news Ma made guacamole before she and Pa went to church.

When they came home Ma couldn’t wait to try her guac on salad as an alternative to ranch. She fired two poached eggs on top too. The eggs got a bit overcooked because she doesn’t like runny whites.

Did you know avocados contain persin a substance that can make dogs puke. I knew there was a reason I prefer ranch!

Anyway after that we had a snooze and then we were energized so we did a bit more clearing out of clothes in Ma’s closet.

After a dose of BBC Drama, Jane Eyre in this instance we made sausage rolls for dinner. Not the healthiest but hearty for a rainy day. The Bro loves them so Ma said it would be a treat for him!

Sausage rolls you’ll be pleased to know are not toxic for dogs so I happily helped scoff some of Dad’s.

Ma called Auntie Hema as she always does on Sunday afternoon and they chatty chatted for a while.

We then binge watched more Rick Stein just so we could dream of visiting all the places he goes and enjoyed a very relaxing time on the couch. That Burgundy sure looks sweet.

All in all an A+ Sunday

Well Ma’s day off didn’t exactly turn out as she’d hoped.

She first went to CVS to pick up a prescription. It wasn’t ready so they said come back in twenty minutes. No problem!

She went to see a rummage sale but there were so many people she decided she’d rather shop than rummage.

She returned to CVS. They said come back in ten minutes they’d been busy.

She went to Kroger to get soda. It’s just across the road so no problem.

Finally when she returned Dad’s prescription had disappeared from the system.

By this stage she was feeling the need for blood pressure tablets herself.

She gave up and went to another store to browse but was disappointed so decided to come home only to get a call from a customer who was at the tearoom and whose booking Ma had somehow managed to erase.

Do you think she felt miserable or what!

I smoothed her nerves with a good cuddle and Dad made pizza for dinner so she has almost recovered.

Just goes to show you shouldn’t rest more than one day a week.

That’s today !!!!

We had another day at the new ranch yesterday for another viewing at our current kennel.

It ended up not happening. The people had to cancel at the last minute.

Jaws and me don’t mind a bit as we got to run in the sun but poor Ma and Pa are somewhat feeling the strain.

So much so that Ma has decided, since she worked Tuesday and has no reservations for today, that she is taking a day off.

She plans to do some fun things like going shopping. Not for anything in particular just a nosy.

Of course she will take us for a trot and maybe if she gets bored she’ll come back home and have a little siesta.

I’m hoping she has a good time because I love her more than tongue can tell.

The niece will be tucked up with her Dad as he’s again on nights so it will be Dad and me doing what we do best having a snooze!

Precious Peeps it’s the PERFECT one here to propel you at great speed into a wonderful weekend.

I encourage all of you to take a look at my reel that I posted on Booming Buddies yesterday.

In this you will see that not only am I stunningly beautiful I’m also a star athlete.

I can whip the stinking Gizz better than any beater.

My average speed around the yard at our new ranch is close to Mach Two.

This is why my body is fat free. Just like a piece of turkey breast.

It is so exhilarating to see the stinking hairy monster suffer as he tries desperately to run as fast as me.

This my darling dears is why you must train.

Take every opportunity you get to chase game. It can be small or large but it’s that effort that makes you magic.

With the cooler weather coming you have no excuse. Get out there and pump it up.

Trust me your legs and butt will look just as perfect as any Pitty’s.

Of course to achieve the perfection mine has attained will take time and may never be possible.

Still you must give it a go and rock it out like a star.

Enjoy your weekend and if you can’t run go ahead and dance.

Be in awe of my amazing attributes and I’ll talk to you soon.

Yours as ever HRH Princess Pitty

It’s another family day out.

We have a viewing at 1:00 pm and as Ma has work at 12:00 we’ll need to vacate the residence by 11:00 am.

Prior to that we must hide all signs of dog life and pretend that pristine people live in this joint.

We have it almost down to a fine art now.

The regular kitchen and bathroom towels are hidden. All chopping boards and condiments removed. No signs of personal hygiene, tooth paste or heaven forbid toilet cleaner should be seen.

Of course anyone with a titter of wit will see this if they look in the right places.

Anyway it will be fun to have a run in the car and a race around the new yard. Our appliances are in so maybe we can grill a steak!!!! Unlikely but a dog can but dream.

Precious Peeps it’s the PERFECT One here to heave you over the humpty!!

It will be happy because I’m in your life.

All you have to do is think positive like your Pitty Princess!

Think that you are beautiful and smart and happiness will help you heave yourselves over the highest hill.

Keep your nose in the air like me and you might hit on a scent of deer or bunny and then have some desire to run like the wind.

Alternatively just dream about them or meditate on meat.

Failing this do all you can to feel fantastic.

It’s not that hard. If I can live with the stinking Gizz you can overcome anything.

Be brilliant like this beauty and I’ll talk to you on Friday.

Love me like I love you.

Ma doesn’t work on Tuesday unless she gets a party.

She’s working today because she’s got not just one but two.

Her little “hands will do dishes” but before then she has to get the nosh going.

This means an early start as she has to get the shopping in too.

I’d love to go with her but she’s stressing enough about getting things ready on time because the first group is coming at 11:00.

Our trot will be tiny but if she has a good day she might buy us a treat on the way home.

Hint hint!!!!

Do you set an alarm? We very rarely do. We prefer to wake up spontaneously.

Since we go to bed when some people are still eating dinner we wake up early.

We have a preferred wake up time though.

It’s anywhere from 5:45 till 6:00.

Today we hit it on the nose.

This gives us time to snuggle some, do our verse of the day, read messages, check facebook news, clean out the inbox and banter. All in bed I must underline!

It takes time to do all this but our goal is to be up and have the coffee on by 6:45.

One hour is perfect for this.

We can then be comfortably seated for the start of TODAY.

It feels like we’ve already achieved something when we do it just right.

Sometimes I don’t know what I’m going to Banter about until it’s time to Banter.

So it was this morning.

I thought I might talk about my plans to do nothing today and then Ma read me the thought for today.

I couldn’t believe that it was so perfect.

It helps me underline a point that is often obvious to me we canines are born with the capacity to always be honest.

If we dislike something or someone we just ignore them as best we can. Like me and Jaws.

If on the other hand we love someone we are constantly looking out for them. We cannot feign it. We cannot do enough to protect them.

I think God has canine attributes. I know he made man in his image but his character definitely must be a bit doggy.
