I am much maligned by the stinking Gizz and he has always got Grandpa on his side.

Thank goodness Granny is gracious and my Dad loves me regardless of what that scheming stinker says.

See unlike him I practice perfect dental hygiene.

After eating you must always floss to remove particles stuck between the pearlies.

Never ever sleep with grubby gnashers

Find a sneaker and work it till ever pout is perfect.

Blessing#1897-Dazzling Dentition

So as I was telling you after the BIG Lunch we all decided we needed time to digest.

Ma was feeling particularly mellow so she said Jaws could come sleep with us in the master bedroom because she was being such a good girl and looked like she needed a nap too.

Of course what she didn’t realize was that Jaws was not satisfied with her snacks and kibble she needed more.

So while we slumbered she got busy.

When we woke up the demolition unit was fast asleep.

We didn’t see what she’d done. It was Dad who made the discovery and that went down like a lump of lead.

She’d totally shredded Ma’s trainers.

Worse the small bits were all over the bathroom.

If you’ve never seen the inside of a trainer here’s your chance to discover.

Let me put it this way Dad is unlikely to forget this!! I’m definitely his favorite!!!

Blessing#1896-Memory Foam!

The Bro had declared he wanted “No Bird” this thanksgiving so Ma came up with a novel plan.

A “Tasting Menu”.

I wondered, but did not dare to ask, what sort of menu is not tasted but I kept my trap shut.

This was great because Ma was in and out of the kitchen all morning and we got lots of tidbits.

By the time the Macys Day Parade and the Dog Show were done the humans were ready to take their seats.

The portions were all quite small but even so they had to stop before dessert.

A siesta was required to reset the appetite because Jaws the walking waste disposal unit was not getting these goodies.

Precious Peeps It’s Pits Perfect here with my Uncle Scooby to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Admit it some of you fainted when you read that didn’t you?

See for one day we have committed to set aside our disagreements and focus on feasting.

There is just so many opportunities to work together on this occasion to snag snacks that we’ve signed a 24hour peace treaty.

Now I grant you it is as yet early but since Granny is getting up to crack on with the cooking we are aligned at attempting and armistice.

Blessing#1894-Elasticated Waistbands

We thought we’d stick with the smart stuff for another day. Take note that this post has nothing to do with AI so it’s not a hallucination.

NASA has reported that it received new signals from a telescope it dispatched to the Milky Way some years ago.

Seems that there are some amazing things hidden in the stars. There are bodies that look like gigantic needles that no one has ever encountered before.

Every time we hear new news about the universe we are absolutely in awe of it immensity.

Don’t you think there must be a friendly alien or two out there we could make friends with?

Blessing#1893-Points in Space

Only some of you know that my Dad is super smart. It’s no wonder a book is constantly appended to his hand.

As a fellow of Sydney Sussex College Cambridge he gets the regular alumni newsletter and it popped into our inbox this morning.

Ma and me usually read it first as Dad’s still in the land of nod.

We skim through as we’re somewhat less interested in all things intellectual than Dad BUT this morning we were intrigued and thought perhaps you too would be.

Guess what the Cambridge word of the year is? Something liked to artificial intelligence!

Did you get it?

We didn’t either so don’t feel bad but do remember that the next time you read something unless it’s from my paw it may be and AI having a psychedelic attack.

Blessing#1892-Modern Fairytales

I have a tear in my eye because poor Mum’s right knee has seized up.

She’s not quite sure what happened but it’s stiff and slightly swollen.

My theory is it is a stress injury induced by standing firm while straining to hold the nemesis while squirrels or other critter cross our path.

We’re still walking because once she gets going it’s OK. The worst is going up and down stairs she sorta has to do that sideways.

I am convinced rest and rubs are the best solution and a little yoga perhaps too.

All will be well with my TLC but yet another reason to nuke the niece.

Blessing #1891-Physiotherapy

Ma is still working on Belfast time so she’s been awake since five o’clock.

She’s been busy with « Friendsgiving » events at the tearoom since she came back so she is crashing into bed at eight.

It’s not a problem for me as it gets me away from JAWS!

Since it’s Sunday, I know we’ll be able to have a snooze this afternoon.

That might set her back on track for the rest of the week.

If it doesn’t we’ll treat it philosophically enjoy the time together and admire what we can see.

I am so happy Granny is back as Scooby was horrible while she was away and caused me several injuries with his horrible canines. He is hateful.

Granny came home with a new dog. It’s very quiet.

Auntie Carol gave it to her as a belated birthday gift.

It’s very beautiful and never moves and I’m delighted it’s a girl as I couldn’t deal with another male. In fact I believe it may have been modeled on me!!

I’m excessively jealous of its pretty pink collar that is bedecked with rhinestones.

Unfortunately even if I were to steal it and make a run for it the collar wouldn’t fit my graceful neck.

Maybe I could wear it as tail decor.

Blessing#1789-Jewels

Ma is back! I’m so glad to see her and snuggle.

She’s thrilled with this new direct flight from Cleveland to Dublin it’s so relaxing not having to sweat over making connections.

She’s learned a lot on this trip. First that the Cleveland airport is literally a straight shot up the I-71 from our house and takes just under two hours.

The parking is right at the airport so need to catch a bus. A quick walk does it!!!

She also learned that Dublin airport is extremely quiet at the time the return flight leaves. She was at the gate three hours before boarding!!! Pity her hand baggage was full or she could have done a little Christmas shopping!

The service was great as always on Aer Lingus and the food was yummy even in good old economy class where she was seated.

As for entertainment excellent! Great movies and lots of super shows to pass the time.

I feel it in my bones that there may be more regular trips on the horizon but for now I’ll settle for a good walk!!!!!
