Booming Banter

I don’t know if Ma was taking the nieces advice on sleeping snuggled like a ball but when she woke up just now a crane would have been helpful to heave her into the upright position.

To say she was stiff and creaky is a gross understatement.

Oh to be “nimble” again she uttered and that started a whole chain of thought.

“Scooby” she said “did you know that long long ago when I was young there was a bread on the market in the UK called NIMBLE”

She went on to explain that it was for people who were watching their weight and was very airy and light.

Did I really need to know this at six in the morning?

We then reflected for a moment on that word. For Ma it will always evoke memories of bread floating heavenward on a balloon.

For me it somehow is not a word that I care for. It’s too posh too contrived.

Do you like it?

I prefer good honest words like bendy!!!

Blessing#2547-Beauty Sleep

We didn’t see anything more than a glimmer of the Ryder Cup but we heard a lot about it.

Golf is usually such a polite peeps pitch but seems that this got ugly.

The teams were being very dignified but part of the crowd was real nasty heckling and jeering the Europeans especially Rory and his wife.

Why would they do that?

Do they think it sends a positive message to the world about the USA?

For sure they represent at least a part the elite of this nation given the cost to attend this event.

Maybe they don’t care or as Cyndi would sing “their true colors are shining through” and they got where they are because they are bullies and thugs at heart.

Can’t help feeling bad for the rest of the spectators who were decent but maybe they should have raised their cheers a little louder to drown out the deadwood.

Anyway Europe won so next stop Limerick Ireland where we can be sure there will not be a repeat of this crowds performance.

We were awakened just now from deep slumbers by the door to the Bro’s bedroom slamming.

We wondered had he been out all night but no he was not in Dracula mode.

Seems the niece had a minor stomach issue related to the amount of grass she consumed at the new ranch yesterday. She emitted a ball as big as a tumbleweed that the Bro had to clean up.

Ma and me had a great kip I put it down to sheer exhaustion.

Ma on the other hand has a different theory she says it’s down to clean bedclothes.

Here filing cabinet brain tells her that this association is far from coincidence.

Why would it be? OK there is a slight whiff of fabric softener that might numb your cortex but with all the plug-ins at work in our house it is imperceptible.

Humans are just so stupid they should never have shed their coats and then they wouldn’t need bedclothes to begin with.

It’s National Sons Day today so of course Ma is honoring me and the Bro all day long!

Well that is my hope and HINT!!!!

The Bro is going to his football coaching and we have another open house so I get to have two car rides today. One to drop him off and one to get off site and do groceries.

Alas this means that I will have to have the niece breathing down my neck.

She is so nosy and so stinky I couldn’t even find a photo of me and the Bro without her.

She sticks like snot!!!

Here she is all dressed up for the OSU game yesterday.

She thinks she so special but my feeling is she looks ridiculous.

Enough of her let’s be back to me, Ma says I’m the best four legged son she ever had. I knew all along I’m the best of the best.

Fortunately for the Bro he is the one and only bipedal!!! So we are both top of the charts

Ma decided that it would be unlikely that the algae in the pool made it to the soil.

So she has taken to shock.

No single celled creature will be able to withstand the pounding she is giving it.

Consuelo is getting a break because you cannot hit the hard stuff and have your robot working at the same time.

My feeling is that we might need to take out shares in Clorox to balance the books.

If we don’t get an Indian summer there will be trouble!

Maybe I’ll make it worth her while and take another plunge or two before we call it quits.

Oh the deep blue yonder! Oh the happy days!

Precious Peeps it your PERFECT PITTY here to whistle you into the weekend.

You know that you just can’t keep a good Pitty down at least not for long.

My tender heart was hurt by Granny taking the stinking Gizz to the bluffs but I believe it is futile to bear grudges so I’m friends with her again.

I’ll never be friends with the STINKER but that you know already.

Did you see that he pretended to be sorry for me.

My PAW he couldn’t give a toot if I trotted off into the sunset like Scarlet O’Hara.

I bet if she’d had a dog it would have been a feisty little fighter like me.

Anyway I have better things to expend my energy on than mutts.

Be like me Pure Perfection and Pure Bred in every sense of the word.

Hope I’ve given you all the kick in the butt you need to be like me. Stay cool and enjoy each moment.

Blessing#2542-Fearless on Friday

It’s amazing how fast grass grows. Ours was like straw on Sunday now with just two days of rain it’s taken on a greenish hew.

Imagine what would happen if we just let it grow and grow how long would it take to make a meadow or even a jungle.

Now I know this is digging a bit deep but have you ever thought about how plants first established themselves on land.

They must have emerged from the waters like all life.

Our pool at the new ranch has turned a shade of green too over these past days with all the organic matter that has entered it as falling leaves.

Ma is wondering whether she should shock it again or just let nature take it’s course.

Maybe the algae might escape and make her a perfect lawn by spring.
