Precious Peeps it’s the PERFECT ONE here to propel you into a splendid weekend.

The sun is splitting the skies and the corn is growing so fast you could see it get taller without a time lapse if you stopped and waited for a hour!

Auntie Marsha has taught Ma a new way to get to the tearoom that makes it feel like she’s an extra in Oklahoma!

I’d love to be let loose in one of those fields.

Can you imagine the freedom and all the small critters that might be around to snack on.

Granny would never be able to track me down.

When we move these fields will only be two miles from the ranch so maybe one day I’ll take off for a romp.

In the meantime enjoy these beautiful scenes and stay cool critters.

I am gifted when it comes to intensive care. Really I should be called Doc!

While the hoomans watched the Birds again to relax (!!) I tenderly tended to my niece.

She is feeling the stress like all if us even though she will not admit it.

Ma ate a family sized pack of Pringle’s after dinner while watching the Avian adventures and looking for Alfred.

I think that a modicum of moderation might just help mother.

Don’t I sound polite like those peeps from the sixties.

Poshness rubs off easily on someone as polished as me.

Precious Peeps it’s your perfect Pitty here to push you over the humpty.

I’ve had to give Granny quite a shove these last few days but with my tender loving care and encouragement she has manage to make her way out of the study.

I gave her a gazillion kisses.

If you know someone who needs my talents please advise.

For a small fee of a box of MILKBONE I’d be happy to hop over and take care of you.

If you prefer to avoid my love in person send MILKBONE and I’ll text you tenderly instead.

Be like me and keep on chewing till you’re all done!

It’s very tiring tearing up and trashing.

Ma says she’d rather eat a Nyla than do this even one of Nala’s.

There are piles everywhere some for trash others for friends some for the shop and some for the church book sale from whence many came.

It is quite cramped in the study with papers over the floor but we managed to squeeze in and one bookcase has been liberated and brought to the garage to trash

Ma has got till Thursday to reflect on this.

My feeling is it may find its way to the tearoom or to the garage of the new ranch even if it is not in perfect shape.

We only have about a hundred shelves already but you know Ma she is a great one for rescue!

I’m grateful for that!!!

Last night we were watching Rick Stein. He was in Bangladesh and what he said hit home.

When you see the struggles that some endure with grace each day you should be grateful for what you’ve got.

Yet were not are we?

Take this morning as an example. We’re lying here in our nice warm bed in our big kennel about to get up to get a good brekkie but we’re already seething that we have to spend the day purging the piles of papers that has collected over the past fifteen years.

On that program last night we saw men and women manually removing stone from a lake and grading it in sieves into different weights.

They did that day after day for $2 a day.

I am going to remind Ma of this as she huffs and puffs. I going to tell her to put on U105 and listen to her favorite tunes and drink some of her favorite soda and pretend this is fun even if it isn’t.

We can always stop and have a siesta and snuggle a little too.

Like Mary Poppins we’re sure to find some “Element of Fun” if we dig deep enough!

Ma went to an auction yesterday in the little town close to Uncle Jim and Aunty Marsha’s farm.

The fixer upper flipping has gone to her head.

In addition to being an antique dealer and a restauranteur she now sees herself as a real estate mogul!

Heaven help us all.

Granted the place was cute and full of character as it was built and decorated to resemble a boat.

You have to feel sorry for poor Dad not to mention me!!

She set off with the check book in purse and had a sum in mind for the property. The auctioneer started well above her number but there wasn’t much action.

In the end the executor of the estate refused the amount offered and a private negotiation ensued so Ma was not privy to the price expected except that it was at least double what she had in mind.

Thank heavens for that. I don’t think I could take another round of sleepless night tossing and turning and dreaming of stripping wallpaper!!!

Ma is lucky. It comes with being Irish I guess.

Of course she found me which was her greatest discovery.

She also gets so many gifts for the tearoom from her customers.

The latest came from a regular customer who was in on Thursday with her granddaughters.

She asked Ma if she’d like to have her grandmothers display cabinet for merchandising her treasures.

Of course Ma said yes and the lady returned yesterday with this very beautiful piece of furniture.

It fits in perfectly with the period of the party room and is how the proud holder of all the silver that we’re given by other friends.

Sometimes I wonder if I was to set up a dog kernel would people bring me gifts too maybe a nice soft bed or a fancy bowl or even a few nibbles .

Anyway Ma is happy and so is the kind lady who gave the piece to her as she knows it has a happy home.

Greeting Precious Peeps it’s me your positively passionate Pitty here to propel you into a wonderful weekend.

To start with the good news is it rained all day yesterday so the humidity has fallen along with the temperature and we have moved from trip digits to the 80s.

Add to this that Granny doesn’t have to water for the next week.

Poor Consuelo will have to work double duty at the pool though because with the rain comes leaves and for some reason soil too. We haven’t quite worked out why.

Anyway for the rest of the weekend when my Uncle Jim has Fair Days it is going to be BEAUTIFUL just like me.

I’m glad for him because he works hard to make this event run smooth. Of course my PawPal cousin Libby Grace helps him out.

She’s big enough to pull a tractor by herself but I bet my teeth are stronger.

Whatever you are doing stay cool like me and enjoy as much good fried fair food as you can wrap your chops around.

As always your beloved beauty Pits Perfect

Fences may well protect you from a deer invasion but there is something eating my Ma’s Black Eyed Susan’s that they are not holding back.

Whatever it is is going for the flowers.

Could it be a bunny? They have been spotted around the ranch as well as squirrels and chipmunks.

Putting on my Sherlock Holmes hat I’d say that they’d have to be on their hind legs to reach the flowers but that’s a possibility.

In any case this is causing Ma to be anxious. She is very into bad omens and all that rubbish.

I’ve told her to chill that the niece and I will be happy to hunt the critters down as soon as we move in.

How do you handle your hoomans when they feel at odds with nature?

Maybe the best thing to do is take the niece’s advice and just smack her one.

Precious Peeps it’s your personal Princess here to heave you over the humpty!

I know that since I entered your life Wednesdays have been less woeful.

It’s a delight to bring a little sunshine to your hearts!

If I could I’d give you a giant kiss like the ones I give Daddy and Granny and that I try my best to give Grandpa.

It’s so important to show people that they are loved and appreciated.

Be like me and go smack a big one on someone in your family circle today

If they resist your charms give them your biggest smile and wiggle your bum as you walk away.

They will just think your crazy and there will always be others waiting for your attention.
