Well did you see the astronomical epic that hasn’t occurred in 400 years?
Well as directed by the experts we looked heavenwards just after the sun set but we couldn’t see the moon let alone the aligned planets as there was so much cloud cover.
HOWEVER, Casey Jones comes in useful at times. He gave a great toot around 12:30 that woke us up.

We could see a glimmer of light through the blinds so we pulled them up and sure enough there before our eyes was the once in a lifetime event.
Now our bedroom faces west rather than southwest so wise men among you may say what we saw was not what we think we saw.
We’re sticking to our story though and feel confident that when you look close enough the universe rewards you.
This is a joint statement on behalf of myself and the niece.
We are having to take very good care of our humans as they have suffered a terrible loss.
Auntie Phyllis our dear friend from Ireland passed away on Friday morning.
She was like an Auntie to the Bro and never once forgot his birthday and Christmas.
Mum and Dad got to know Phyllis or PC as they called her when they lived in Switzerland. They were very close and when PC moved back to Belfast where she was born they always stayed in touch.
Phyllis spent many vacations with our family in the USA, China, Switzerland and France.
She was so funny and generous and loving but intensely private too.
You will be glad to know she was also a dog lover and we are certain that in heaven today she is with her Mum and Dad and of course her darling puppy kids Angus, Zach and Dougie who crossed the rainbow bridge before her.
We will always remember her and know she will always be with us in spirit.
Sometimes just when you’re not expecting it you get a lovely surprise.
So it was yesterday when Auntie Denise gave us a shamrock plant.
It is just about to bloom so we will have flowers on it for Saint Patrick’s Day.
Ma put it OBVIOUSLY into a green potholder and gave it prime position on the kitchen window.
This way each time anyone in the household who does the dishes will have a reminder of how lucky they are that they just had breakfast, lunch or dinner.
