Precious Peeps those living in Ohio may need an extra heave to make it over the humpty this week.

It’s a mere minus 20C or minus 23C if you factor in the wind chill so your paws may stick to the ground if you stay still for more than a few seconds.

I have become expert at off loading my business at speed but the stupid Gizz still needs time to swing into action.

Of course this means I have to hang around too until Granny gets the goop.

Poor old gals nose is the color of Rudolph’s.

She is brave though to go out in this as many’s another ancient would toss us onto the patio and not walk us at all.

Speaking of which it’s that time. I’m hopeful the stinking Gizz will get stuck to a letter box when his pee freezes and that he’ll die of hypothermia.

Talk soon tigers.

Loyal readers may recall that Ma started knitting a sweater in January 2024.

When it was finished she didn’t like it so ripped in out and started over.

She stopped knitting about April 2024 when TAKE 2 was half done.

Well she started this year by ripping out again.

Since then she has used the wool to make herself a scarf and matching mittens that have come very useful in the past few weeks and a tea cost that’s on sale at the shop.

Of course there is still a lot of opportunity left as one sweater calls for a lot of wool.

So it was that yesterday with us all being grounded another project took shape.

It’s a sort of sweater but this time for a baby. I think it’s the best outcome to date.

Lesson learned don’t settle with something that doesn’t make you happy there will always be something better that develops.

It’s going to be a hectic viewing day with the inauguration and then the big OSU game tonight.

We are going to walk as far as our tootsies will allow this morning as thereafter we will be grounded by the attic blast that is descending rapidly on us and two hundred million others in the USA.

I fear that the niece and me will need to resort to indoor circuit training.

It’s Martin Luther King Jr day as well so there won’t be any postman to bark at but I’m sure we’ll find something.

Do deer come out in this cold or do they all just huddle in a heap?

We shall see!

Yesterday was so boring for me but Ma had a good time at the prison.

The Retreat was on the theme fruits of the spirit.

I must say that when I thought about this I concluded that as a species we canines possess these in abundance.

Ma says she could use an injection to boost her levels on many of these!

Just be like me Ma.

Start by wagging your tail instead of your finger.

If nothing else it will give us all a giggle

I had to get up at 5:15 this morning as Ma has a “Retreat” at the prison. The volunteers have to be at security by 7:00 am and it’s a 40 minute drive to get there. So work that out and add in coffee and porridge.

I was lucky to get out for a pee and am miffed she is taking a day off and not spending it with me!!!

I’m hoping the Bro will take me further than the length of his arm when he surfaces but that might be wishful thinking.

At least I have Dad to reply on for treats when I give him my best begging eyes.

He’s not such a bad old soul even if he shouts at us sometimes when we get sassy with the barking.

Precious Peeps PITS here to project you into the weekend.

After much sleep I am almost restored to my perfect state unlike my Dads car that has been towed away.

Who knows if I will see it again. Depends on the assessment and if it is reparable.

I’ll just dream of times past touring in it!

In the meantime he has a fancy brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee that the insurance company arranged until a decision is reached on the wreck.

I’m not sure if I’ll land a ride in it as it’s super fancy and shiny clean and must be returned in the same condition.

I’ll settle for a spin in Ganny’s jalopy.

Anything’s better than nothing.

Thank you all for your messages and best wishes for the Bro.

He is OK taking anti inflammatory medicine and muscle relaxants for his whiplash.

Ma took him to work yesterday morning to pick up his computer things so he can work from home.

The niece and I went along for the ride.

After his work we went back to the hospital to get his meds. Heaven knows why they couldn’t have called a prescription into the local pharmacy

We then went another twenty miles to the pound to recover the car that he was able to drive home.

It’s was $120 to get it “released” and is a mess.

When Ma saw it she realized why the Bro decided to get his neck checked out.

Can you imagine what the other car must look like. Should be easy to trace you’d think.

The insurance so far have been helpful.

Let’s hope it can be fixed!

Hard to believe that in the space of just three years this beautiful brand new car has gone from gleaming to a wreck!

Precious Peeps it’s PITS here and I’m needing some help over the humpty myself today.

My Dad was in an accident yesterday late afternoon.

Granny had just made the dinner when he called to say someone ran into him when he was stopped at a traffic light.

The other car didn’t stop.

Dad called the police and the ambulance came too and examined him.

They thought he had whiplash so they put a collar on him and took him to hospital.

Poor Granny went and sat with him. Emergency rooms are full of drama. Not the sort you need on a Tuesday night though. Thank God for the people who work there.

Took a while as he had to have a CAT scan done on his neck just to make sure it wasn’t anything more serious.

The Gizz and me were bursting at home with poor old Grandpa.

When they eventually got home close to 11:00pm it was the greatest relief I ever had.

I’m still exhausted! Short trot today!

Yesterday Ma had to be seated and glued to the TV by 6:58 as it was her Craig’s first day as anchor on TODAY.

She likes him almost as much as me.

This makes me a tad jelly.

She thinks he’s such a good guy so wholesome and kind.

Tell me am I not?

I know he is handsome and wears neat suits but I would too if I was human.

He doesn’t have a beard like mine that’s for sure.

I wish him well though as I believe he has a dog so he can’t be bad.

I know I’m special!

No one has to tell me and I’m sure you agree.

What other dog do you know eats strawberries for breakfast.

That’s an advantage of having a tearoom that is running slow.

I bet not even the Queens corgis got strawbs even after garden parties.

To those of you who eat kibble my thought for the week is go on strike.

Strawberries are sweeter!!!
