The colors around us right now are spectacular.

This dry weather really seems to have made the leaves more vibrant.

The noise underfoot is also so cool as it’s kinda crunchy.

We caused quite a stir yesterday morning when we heard a squirrel go charging through a big pile of fallen foliage.

Poor old Ma couldn’t retain the pair of us.

I halted when the bushy tailed baby scooted up a big tree but the nutty niece just kept on running.

Fortunately we were with my buddy Remington and his Ma Meghan so we each tackled the problem from a different angle.

Eventually after much cavorting through no less than four neighbors back yards Meghan caught the trespasser.

The PIT no doubt will be a feature on dozens of door cams.

I hope protests are posted and she is taken to the pound. No hiding from this little horror!

As we write Casey Jones is tooting. It is 6:43.

This is acceptable behavior even on a Saturday morning as people might be out and about jogging over train tracks with ear plugs in.

HOWEVER we are extremely vexed with Casey as he was blowing his horn for a good five minutes at 2:00am and this woke us up and no matter how many sheep we counted we couldn’t get back to sleep.

It must have been 4:00am before I heard Ma snore once more.

When the word VEXED came to mind we thought it was unusual that it was the verb that emerged from our brains filing cabinets to target Casey.

We had to investigate in more depth. So to spare your fingers from Googling it yourself read below.

We may use it once or twice a year but conclude it was entirely the correct word right now to describe our condition.

Precious Peeps Pits Perfect here to wiggle you into a wonderful weekend.

I have been working on my strut as I believe it is an immeasurably important piece of my art of being beautiful.

You singles out there looking for a love interest got to get it right. Be sensual yet subtle.

Those of you positioned for a new career opportunity be poised and upright but not pushy.

Finally, for those seeking office like the Grey Gizz STRETCH your stride. It seems all the footage I see of the candidates shows they have been trained to walk in a peculiar way.

Watch them it’s like they are measuring a room for carpet or participating in a parade.

I get no thanks at all for doing by duty as great guard in our household.

Dad is always yapping when I alert him to the presence of joggers, cyclists, dog walkers, squirrels, deer or for that matter any material that moves.

He is particularly displeased when he is listening to CNN.

I don’t get it because they repeat the same story ever thirty minutes.

So I have decided that as soon as Ma leaves for work I’m going to get under his skin until she returns.

Serves him right for scolding.

Precious Peeps Pits Perfect here to help you hop healthily over the hump.

Wednesday’s can be a little wearing unless you are fueled for fun like me.

That is why good nutrition is always part of my Pitty Perfect plan.

Take last evening as an example I had a fabulous first foodie feast.

Stop reading now if you are vegetarian.

Auntie Marsha bought a whole side of beef for her freezer from her next door farmer friend.

The beastie’s liver was part of the package. Neither Auntie Marsha nor Uncle Jim like liver but good old Granny does so they gave her some to try.

We cooked it up with onions and man the smell was swell. Dad and Grandpa had sausages as they aren’t fans. They don’t know what they are missing.

Granny gave the Gizz and me little piece to taste and I nearly died with delight.

There was way too much for one meal so Granny will be having leftovers one of these days. She said she’d share a morsel more then.

The good news doesn’t end there either. Cows are big critters so they have big innards so there are four more packs of this delicious nutritious mouth watering miracle waiting in Auntie Marsha’s freezer just for Granny.

I believe pâtée may be part of our plan.

À bientôt mes amours!!!

Don’t you just love that it’s the middle of October and 26C in the afternoon.

Yesterday Ma decided that she’d move her herbs inside so we all went out on the patio and transplanted the rosemary, basil, parsley and lavender into one giant pot.

It is now taking up a very huge place in the hall but who cares. If it makes Ma happy we go with the flow.

She doesn’t understand that those smells are a gazillion times more potent to our noses than hers but it’s better than Febreeze.

She is also trying again to « winterize » her geraniums. Third time lucky perhaps.

So just when we thought it was winter summer made a comeback.

We slept in yesterday as it doesn’t get light till past seven so we had a short shift around the block as Ma was on usher duty at church.

The Bro was home so we watched the footie instead of CNN. A wonderful diversion from back biting is striking into a net.

After a nice siesta in the afternoon we went for a long trot with Auntie Denise.

It was roasting so we enjoyed a quaff of Adam’s Ale on our return while Ma guzzled a Natural Light!

Sometimes you just have to be happy when you have warm days, pure blue skies and nothing to do but admire the foliage and relax.

If you had to listen to me make a speech what would you like to hear?

Do you want to know about my plan to boost the economy by making functional dog biscuits? They would be filled with ingredients to help digestion, give fresh breath, manage sleep and even slow the aging process.

Discoveries would of course be shared with the human medical community!

What about universal healthcare for all including pets? Would that be a bitter pill to swallow or set you heart on fire?

Maybe the position with the greatest appeal would be to ban bad news.

Just imagine if all we heard were feel good stories. Pups and peep projects, kitties being kind to kids, heck even hamsters helping the environment by running in their wheels.

There has gotta be something better than all this yapping and yelling! We need to bite into something more wholesome!

Y’all know by now that Ma is mad on the moon.

Keeps trying to get a good photo of it but always seems to mess up.

Some are « howlingly » bad. Woof woof!!

Sends me crazy especially when she has to dash out with her camera first thing in the morning when I have more important business to do.

If anyone has tips on how to make the pie in the sky look better please call me.

In the meantime get your early votes in for the cuddliest candidate on the ticket!!!

Precious Peeps it’s that day you have been waiting for when your very own Pitty Perfect wishes you a happy weekend.

I have no great plans for the moment just hoping to hang out with my very own hooman.

Now don’t get me wrong Granny is OK if a little goofy but she does favor « her dog » the stinking Gizz.

Grandpa is almost as Grumpy as the aforementioned. Hardly a bundle of giggles!

That’s why I have Dad he’s mine alone and we have that special attachment that only one man and one dog can have.

Hope you get to snuggle with your special someone this Saturday or Sunday!
