I watched the first half hour of the debate on Tuesday and decided I’d rather go to bed.
Ma agreed , she said she’d already decided long ago that she’s supporting me.
There will be nothing but TV spots from now till the election with as they say in Ireland each one “cutting the tripe out of each other”.
People in the USA may not know what tripe is so let me explain; it’s the stomach of a cow.
It probably finds its way into pet food but some hoomans like to eat it too when it’s stewed with onions.
It’s a delicacy that Ma has never eaten which is surprising because she eats everything but she said it’s because it looks so wrinkly it would be like eating her own hide.
I’d give it a go and I know the niece would gobble it up like a turkey being fattened but dogs should never be allowed onions so that rules that out.
When WordPress decides as it did just now to do strange things at 6:30 in the morning and duplicate and then publish my post from the previous day it gets me all agitated.
Makes me feel like there’s trouble ahead today.
Of course I know that under the Bros bed that there is a black demon waiting to pounce buts she is a devil I know.
I’ll be wary now until the day is through that some other jiggery pokery is going to invade my space or a meteor is going to fall from the sky and exterminate us like the dinosaurs within the next 24hours.
All this because things didn’t go exactly as planned.
Am I the only one that feels like this?
If you spill your OJ or burn your toast do you start looking over your shoulder?
Maybe I’ll get Ma to stay in bed just to be on the safe side but then I’d be bursting and thirsty and hungry.
So I better get up and face the music even if the day ahead might turn into an opera.
Ma did it again. She took off on our special snuggle day.
This time she went to The Marion Women’s Club for an Ohio Open Doors Event.
The history group, of which she is a member, were putting on the show about the life and times of Shauck and Ida Barlow.
It was a celebration of their 137 wedding anniversary. Needless to say they were present only in spirit.
The couple donated their beautifully home to the women’s federation of Marion County when they passed in the 1940s.
Over the years the Women’s Club have faithfully maintained and furnished the home. This is a considerable task and achievement given its age and size calling for much fund raising.
Yesterday the home was open to the public and there was a special exhibition of wedding dresses from the past century including my Moms and my Granny’s.
They were hung side by side and Ma said it was really quite touching to see them on display together.
Who’d ever have thought these dresses of County Down gals would both be in a mansion in Ohio!!!
Good times and cake and lemonade were had by all. Except me of course.
Maybe next time they can do a feature on Pets from the past and I’ll make an appearance too. As a presenter!!!

The only thing that I can say about my birthday is that it was average.
Yes I went for a walk to the park
Yes I got good treats
BUT
I did not get a new squeaky because Ma said Jaws would eat it
Plus there was a storm! Ma said it was a birthday blessing just for me as we haven’t had rain for yonks. The lawn looks like straw.
So we didn’t get a good afternoon walk as promised but the naughty niece was petrified so I got a giggle out of that.
I’m hoping that when I move to the White House there will be cake and candles and presents from all over the world.
What I’d appreciate most is if someone in New Zealand is willing to provide a visa for a Pitty passport!!! She is banned in Britain or I’d ship her to Auntie Carol!!!
