Ma never misses a trick to post positivity about her tearoom.

Yesterday it was all about smelling the roses.

They’re doing especially well this year.

Great bunches are on display on the front desk and given her philosophy of USE IT OR LOOSE IT they are also invading our space at home.

Four years ago when she bought the building she even thought of calling it the Red Rose. That might have been a little less thought provoking than Booming Blessings!!

Precious Peeps it’s Pits Perfect here to get your loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong weekend off to a GREAT start.

Are you planning to grill burgers or hotdogs or both?

Personally I am not a huge fan of the grill because it’s unlikely that material of interest escapes its rim.

Now a bag of chips or nachos with some dips do it for me.

See they have the tendency to roll off the plate of certain persons especially if they consume beer or fizz!!

My absolute favorite is fiery cheese puffs that make your paws turn red.

There is no escaping over indulgence of these items.

They are like tattoos! Even after showering the secret cannot be kept.

That’s why I snuggle up to my Granny every night.

Happy memorial munching precious peeps!

We saw a big Doe in the yard last evening feasting on our honeysuckle. We reckon she is going to have her delivery very soon.

I’m keeping a close eye out for the arrival.

My theory is that the herd use our yard as the nursery because they know I’m very diligent in keeping predators at bay.

It would be great to see a birth but up till now the babies have all shown up during the nighttime hours.

I’m thinking this year could be a multiple birth. Suggestions on names are welcome!

Precious Peeps it’s Pits Perfect here to help you over hump day.

I sometimes watch Facebook reels with my Granny. It’s good for goofy girly giggles.

Yesterday we saw this reel of a human and her pups dressed up all fancy.

Don’t you think Granny would look great geared up like this.

Now the Gizzard probably would not go along with it but I bet PJ and Eddie would come play.

So if your local look out for us it’s no hallucination it’s simply my colorful influence!

It’s been super hot here these past few days so we’ve been getting our morning trots in before it gets too steamy.

Auntie Denise has been working non stop in her yard and brought us some oregano that we dibbled in under a big viburnum bush.

It’s in full sun so given the current climatic conditions we’ve been watering it morning and night.

Seems it spreads like wildfire once it gets going which is great because it’s smells wonderful and Ma uses a lot of the dried version in cooking so now we’ll have our own.

Did you know it’s related to mint? Strange that because they don’t look alike and they don’t smell alike.

Just goes to show that you never can tell who might be family so best be nice to everyone!

Precious Peeps it’s Pits Perfect here to tell you that I have no fear of Coyotes.

I live with one!

Don’t you think the ugly Gizz has some felonious features?

He thinks he’s swell and spends endless afternoons gazing at himself in the mirror but he is mean.

There is no pure breeding in his body absolutely feral.

Toss him out I say and he’d last about ten minutes.

I, on the other paw would whip the wildest wolf into shape in seconds.

They don’t call me Jaws for nothing!

You know around our neighborhood it’s a bit like the Tales of Beatrix Potter.

There’s zillions of squirrel Nutkins, billions of Benjamin bunnies, it’s teaming with Jemima puddle ducks and as you all know Bambis abound.

All in all very quaint.

Well wait for this!!!

We were out for our evening trot yesterday and Ma started talking with our neighbor Heather who was working in her flower beds and we heard all the conversation.

First up Heather says a gigantic snake just crept through their yard in broad daylight. She tells Ma to look out for it just in case we try to play with it because she doesn’t know what it was.

If that wasn’t bad enough she goes on to say that a few nights previously a huge coyote was also hanging around their house.

Now who knows maybe these peeps grill good steak but this is all a tad troubling for our cute cul de sac.

The bro has been warned that if he takes us out for a nightly he has to be on the lookout.

Not sure I’m up to taking on these critters. Maybe I’ll throw the niece at them and they might nuke her.

It’s certainly not an easy job taking care of your peeps and I understand that at times it can be a tad boring.

You got to constantly remind them that they are the most valuable and important part of your life.

Smack them one on the lips now and then just to reinforce your point.

This will generally result in some form of rich reward.

Since Ma is typing this for me I trust a MilkBone will be shortly forthcoming.

Precious Peeps it’s Pits Perfect here. Can you imagine that yesterday I’d done THREE circles around the sun.

My Dad got me some lovely gifts as always. I’m so lucky to have landed with him.

He was reflecting on how I’d grown from a tiny puppy who’d fit in his hand to this mighty majesty of muscle that I am today.

Like everything else it’s all down to diet and exercise. You gotta crunch the kibble as well as the weights to get the glow like me.

I keep telling Granny that we could pump iron together. All this walking might be good for the ticker but it don’t give you the right ripples.

Perfection doesn’t come easy unless your born to it like the Pringle’s Dad crunched with me last night as my extra special treat!

So we planted Monday knowing it would rain Tuesday and get the little seedlings soaked.

What we didn’t plan for was enough rain to quench the thirst of the Amazon.

Heavens it’s not taking time to fall!

We just about made it round Cardinal Hill this morning while it was a drizzle rather than a torrent.

Now Ma is moping that root rot will set.

There is no doubt you can too much of a good thing and Ma says her Ma said that was « good for nothing »
