Santa came! I’m so relieved. I was sure he might skip us because of naughty niece but he stopped in.

He even brought “The THING” presents too.

She is still in her chamber with the Bro.

Ma and I got up first as always and we got cracking with the first round of cooking.

We made Mince Pies for breakfast.

You can’t have enough of a good thing!

I know that they have raisins and that they are not good for my sort but when one just happened to bite the dust on the road from the oven to the table I gobbled it up like a turkey.

Hope you have fun feasting. Don’t forget to get a good trot in too to boost the appetite.

Precious Peeps it is a Pathetic Pits Perfect here this morning.

This is not a costume from yet another fancy dress that I am wearing this is me looking like an angel but suffering like a sinner.

See I was having my dinner and Dad had brought home Jets Pizza four slices of Pepperoni which he’d won a ticket for at the ice hockey game the night before. This was richly supplemented with a Giant Hawaiien which is thick and yummy and incredibly delicious smelling so I was going twenty to the dozen at the kibble so I could get it out of the way and be ready for the pizza when boom I started coughing.

Hacking away I was like Grandpa and regardless of all the maneuvers they tried I was still coughing.

Dad booked an appointment at Medvet the emergency room that Scooby frequents.

He took me to bed but I escaped his TLC and crept under the bed where I hacked away.

Granny came to visit around ten thirty and we all went downstairs again to see if I should be taken to the ER immediately. She nursed me with ice cubes and that seemed to calm things somewhat.

Scooby was very attentive and kind so everyone knew I must be giving off sad signals or he’d have eaten me.

The cough subsided somewhat and we agreed to return me to my chambers with Dad this time wearing my fancy halo to prevent me eating anything or getting under the bed again. Dad would monitor my vitals throughout the night.

I have survived but am excessively exhausted and starving.

I hope I recover fully so no trip to Medvet is required as I’m scared I might miss out on feasting. Pray for your Previousness PLEASE

Precious Peeps it’s Pits Perfect here again. I’m feeling better and am almost returned to my original state of health and beauty.

I am beyond excited by the prospect of the days ahead.

Yesterday when Granny took off her boots I gave them a great big sniff just to make sure that when Santa comes I don’t mistake hers for his and have a nibble at them.

Granny has excessively stinky paws so I’m sure Santa’s will smell a lot sweeter.

Granny’s boots are a bit like that Stilton that she swears is a Christmas must have.

Personally I prefer cheddar. Especially in the round puffed format that my Dad stashes away in our room.

If it’s not too late please tell Santa to bring some for me.

You would not believe this unless you had seen it but there were hundreds, maybe even a thousand birds in our back yard yesterday morning.

It kinda freaked me out.

Dad and Mum were mystified too.

We couldn’t work out what had drawn them into our yard.

They swarmed in and out for a good fifteen minutes. They looked like a carpet!!!

We thought maybe they were after some worms but wouldn’t those worms be in other yards too.

Ornithologist out there please give us your thoughts.

We maybe will be the inspiration for a Hitchcock remake and of course I will star!!!

First, let me apologize. Sometimes my editing system shoots out the same Banter twice. I don’t know why this happens so just ignore it but please don’t ignore me.

I have been in bed for eleven hours.

See Ma was all chipper yesterday morning boasting to Auntie Denise that her double whammy flu and Covid shots weren’t having the least impact on her and then yesterday afternoon it was like she was struck by a steam roller.

She left the tearoom at three grabbed the Christmas groceries that were still not got and came home and crashed.

You always know Ma is exhausted when she offers up hotdogs for dinner. I could make them!

The bro had given his baby girl a bone the size of her head to keep her quiet but we had a little fight over that so Ma said she couldn’t take anymore and so we went to bed and collapsed.

Next thing we knew it was morning.

The flu shot arm is no longer sore while the Covid arm is still somewhat tender but we got such great sleep we now feel fully protected and ready to take on whatever sneezes throw at us.

Clearly Ma does not read my Banter.

Now I am used to being left « Home Alone » on Tuesday morning because the ancients go to their Tuesday Morning Group. that’s only an hour and a half.

Yesterday though they took off at 9:00am and at 1:00pm I’m still sitting at the door guarding and waiting for their return.

Fortunately the niece was in her own chamber.

When they got back do you know what the excuse was? They’d gone to the doctors to get their annual checks and at the practice the carpenter was in changing the doors in the surgeries so everything was delayed because the doctors had to jiggle around the rooms that were available.

Now I have never heard such a tale.

Add to this that they both got shot up for flu and Covid so had to wait for that plus, and here is where the truth comes, they went shopping.

If such abandonment occurs one more time I’m running off to live with Auntie Denise.

We had our first taste of the inevitable Winter Blast yesterday with wind roaring and a dusting of snow.

Man it is cold on the tootsies.

We felt sorry for the Bro because it’s a tough job when it’s cold outside to be under a car in a garage bay.

We warmed him up with a little rough and tumble and played shred the sock when he got home.

We also made him one of his favs. Homemade Mac ´n Cheese.

There was enough leftovers to do him for two lunches too. Should keep him heated from within.

The niece and I are united! Either we are going to take to drink or we are going to take our case to the International Court of Canine Rights.

From 12:45 until 4:30 yesterday we were locked up together in the brothers chambers while the humans partied.

We saw all the preparations and what did we get? A few pieces of apple, two ritz crackers and a milkbone as we were being incarcerated.

Ma said we would cause to much chaos as people were arriving and try to hard to graze on the grub.

Bah Humbug!

I’d have made the perfect Scrooge at this Christmas Carol and didn’t one of Dickens dude have a Pitty!

Support our claims for justice.

Yesterday could not possibly have been busier for Ma and the Bro but it was so stinking boring for me and the niece.

First, they entertained the Grinch at the tearoom then rushed home to head off for a birthday dinner at Bucas one if Columbus’s best.

What did I get? A trot no longer than your arm and kibble with Dad.

Having forced down as much as an experienced stomach could have anti pasta and chicken Alfredo they were beat and had to box the rest before heading to the blue jackets ice hockey game at Nationwide Arena.

The Jackets lost but the two had fun and returned home by 10:30 with copious quantities of food that I hope I’ll score some of today.

Must rush now got to prepare for our next event our annual Christmas Party!
