Our house is like a zoo. Of course you know that already.

We had a newcomer yesterday that Uncle Sandy has identified as a Coopers Hawk.
It’s a real poser sat there on the summit of the eaves for ten minutes while Ma snapped away.
It blended in perfectly with the brick and was kinda fluffy.

Other critters are designed to blend in too except they are so audacious they just stand smack bang in the middle of your driveway eating crab apples.
I’m taking about Bambi’s bunch. Five of them waiting for me this morning.

When they eventually took off one took a tumble on our neighbors black top but like the old girl herself it got up and got on.
If you’ve never seen a deer skid it’s really very much like a cartoon. They are all legs and the legs go in all different directions. Very insightful for those who might wear stilettos.
