Garage sale season is over. That means Ma has to return to the thrift stores to seek treasure.
You can always tell if she finds something good because she can’t wait to get back home to tell Dad. She has to call him immediately!!!
So it was yesterday. She had a half hour to kill before the tearoom opened so she went to the Salvation Army Store and bingo she struck gold.
For the price of a pack of paper plates she walked away with twelve pristine teacups and saucers.
Plus a cream jug that will come in useful as a spare for busy days.
Add to this a good size salad plate and nine perfect salad bowls and she was in heaven.
There were also twelve side plates but the gold edging was a bit dodgy on them so they’ll be used but not put out for sale.
When this happens she gets all fired up especially when she looks them up on eBay and sees what they’re selling for.
