If you happen to live in the USA you write the date with the month first followed by the day and then the year. Everywhere else in the world they do it the logical way with the day first then the month and year.
When I become President I may impose the international standard here too. I won’t immediately attempt a conversion to the SI unitary system as that might cause a revolution and require much education that would dig a deeper debt deficit.
For now back to days months and years. One aspect of the current system is that it occasionally throws up a wacky winner.
Take this New Year’s Eve as an example. Unlike Kermit I realized this would happen months ago as I am something of a mathematical genius in addition to all other attributes.
Many people who just had the ah ha moment are scurrying to Las Vegas to say I do!!! Thinking the date must be auspicious the chapel of the Little Flower has seen bookings soar in the past days to more than triple the usual busy holiday traffic!!
Do not be so hasty dear hearts. All we need to do is prepare for that waltz and repeat after me 123123……
