We have tons of day lilies in the yard.
Trouble is we hardly ever get to see a flower.
As soon as the buds come on Bambi eats them.
It annoys Ma no end.
So when we do manage to bring one or two in I try to boost Ma’s morale by admiring them up close and telling her how beautiful they are.
“Consider the Lilies of the Field” and all that good stuff Ma!
We’re thinking of digging them up and moving the into big pots and keeping them behind the patio fence.
Soon the whole garden will have been transplanted to the touch proof territory.
My prediction is that in the near term there may be no room for anyone to sit down.
