Ma has always loved history and is part of the history chapter of the Marion Women’s Club.
Some of the gals took a little road trips yesterday to visit their pal and archivist Keily at Brownella Cottage in Galion Ohio.
This is far from your average persons perception of a cottage. Rather, it is a mini mansion filled with original furnishings from the late 1800s.

The cottage was built for Rev William Brown and his bride Ella as a wedding gift by Ella’s adoptive mother Mary when Willy was assigned to be the episcopal minister for Grace Church just across the road.
Willy went on to become a bishop in Arkansas but was subsequently struck off as he took to peculiar ways of thinking including strong leanings towards Lenin and the like!
Their story is fascinating and worth a Google but is far too long to tell in my banter.
It’s kinda spooky though as the cottage is said to be haunted.
Now would this not be a perfect place for someone with the name Scooby to visit too.
Alas I was left home with Dad which is always a history lesson in itself.
