Ma came home yesterday and I could smell dog and it wasn’t me or the niece or any of my close associates.
We each have our own perfume and this wasn’t one of them.
I gave Ma the once over and the interrogative eye and she confessed.
Seems as she was leaving our subdivision yesterday morning she encountered a big girl running loose close to the main road.
Ma called to the dog to come over and it happily got into her car.
Ma inspected its tag and found a number to call.
The owner said she had no means to come pick it up as her car had broken down so Ma delivered it safely home.
The rascal lived in the adjoining neighborhood and must have run through the back yards to get to our area.

Ma thought she could get away with someone else’s dog hugging up to her and riding in MY car and leaving hair all over her and MY BACK SEAT but NO WAY.
If I ever catch scent of that hound I’ll give it a good dressing down.
