Wagging Tail-1938

It hasn’t rained here for weeks and weeks and weeks so to say it is crisp is an understatement.

Yesterday changed all that when it decided to pour buckets just as Ma and me were making our way to Aldi.

See she’d gone there earlier in the day to get the condensed milk for her famous fifteens that she forgot to get when she did the groceries on Friday.

However having failed to check on the flour status she discovered a second trip was needed as stocks were too low for scones and shortbread.

She was starting to scold herself for being so stupid not to have checked but I calmed her down.

“Look here Ma” I said in my most soothing tone “if you had remembered the flour this morning we’d have missed this amazing free car wash”.

She accepted my pearls of wisdom and agreed that everything works for the good especially for Aretha who is as shiny as the day she left the lot.
