Did you have a happy Halloween? We were busy. Ma took the day off work.
First we went for our trot with Auntie Denise.
Jaws was very well behaved.
See what happened was when we went to the vet on Tuesday she got all her shots and did well during her physical but got a little feisty when they were trying to draw her blood for her annual tests. So they gave us some pills to make her mellow. She had to take two the night before and two two hours before her rescheduled draw.
She walked along beside Ma like she belonged in Crufts. Didn’t pull at a single squirrel.
When we got back home we did our baking for the big birthday party that is today. One customer can’t have gluten or eggs so Ma was experimenting. She turned out something that looks OK but may taste like cardboard.
After that Jaws was given her second dose of pills and Ma went for the weekly groceries.
When she returned it was time for a quick bite of lunch and then she and the Bro took the Thing back to the vet.
All went well this time so we’ll know for next year.
The Bro then left for work and we all had a little rest before getting the candy out for trick or treating.
Dad got a peanut stuck in his throat so he was coughing all evening which made Ma mad as she was trying to listen to all the latest gossip on the Royals.
We had quite some visitors this year as the weather was fine and almost all our candy disappeared.
In spite if all the comings and goings Jaws remained remarkably calm until bedtime. We are wondering should we maintain this protocol permanently to get some peace!!!
Sure worked like magic that spell.
