I’m lying here close to Ma as she goes through all her birthday wishes on Facebook.
It makes her sweeter!
Isn’t it incredible that because of this app she can get messages from people all over the world some of whom she hasn’t seen in more than half a century.
Ma tells me that when she sees photos of her best pals from her elementary school that she still can see the girl or boy as they were when they all parted company at age 11.
In their faces now on Facebook with their children and grandchildren she can still see the child.
It’s probably like that in heaven too that people are always the same person but you can see them at different times and places and still recognize them.
Enough now of this deep dive let us proceed to festive feasting and eat some chocolate cake for brekkie. I promise I’ll only have a crumb or two!!
