It has been raining here for days so the ground is very soggy.
Clearly it is perfect growing weather for dandelions because they are blooming like crazy.
Ma says they are considered weeds but that they are much maligned and relatives of marigolds.
In Europe the leaves are used to make a salad with bacon and egg and Ma says it’s yummy.
Conker clearly likes them.
Seems they also have powerful diuretic powers and were used as medicine by the druids.
We really should stop knocking them because they are bright and beautiful and jolly as can be.
We still plan to mow them though when the ground dries out before they turn into those ugly puff balls.
