We are a bit late as we managed to sleep better.

Ma emptied yet another cupboard yesterday which leaves only the wardrobes that will be relatively easy as you don’t need to box up clothes.

Last night she went to the cupboard to get out her candle lighter.

It was the only thing left in there so she said to me “Scooby get over here and look at this it’s empty and I’m just like Old Mother Hubbard“

Don’t you give me that rhyming nonsense I thought I know you’re old and I also know you keep my Milk Bones in the pantry not in there so dish them up Mother.

Blessing#2613-Dog Bones

Between a full moon and a mad mother I’m just about ready to pack my bag like a wise man and head off.

Do you know that when she woke up at midnight this morning she was still awake at two googling “living room layouts” and playing her stupid video over and over of the new ranch.

The old gal needs to sleep and stop this nonsense otherwise she is going to go stir crazy. I’m afraid men in white coats may show up!

When I tenderly advise her to chill out she tells me in no uncertain terms that she wants to but she can’t.

She says she knows she’d be more effective if she had a good sleep but right now this obsession with objects is overwhelming.

Does anyone have a stable they’d rent me.

Blessing#2612-Moving On

Precious Peeps it’s PITS PERFECT here to wing you into a winter wonderland weekend.

This house moving takes its toll even on the wrinkle free like me.

Yesterday we had the appraisal done by the mortgage company of the buyers.

This meant me and the Grey Gizz had to get off side for an hour. Dad took us for a long trot. We’d already had one with Granny in the morning so I was beat by the time we got back.

It’s as cold as the artic here and hard on the tootsie but it sure is warm when you get back inside.

It makes you want to pass out and that’s what Dad and me did.

Grandpa and the Gizz continued shredding paper. It’s become a sort of white noise in the house and one I must say that I’m not so fond of but heh ho what to do.

Be like me and when things get on your nerves zone out. A good shut eye will be wonderful for your body, mind and soul and is guaranteed to make you more beautiful.

I’m planning on plenty more of this very gratifying therapy over the weekend. It’s way too cold to do any more walking than is absolutely essential.

I trust y’all stay snug and follow my advice.

Blessing#2611-Slumber Party

You know in the Advent story Angels keep popping up.

Well not to be outdone, in the midst of our cupboard clear out and packing up of yesterday Ma happened on some loose photos.

Who should it be but Auntie Phyllis visiting Ma in China with Uncle Paul. Paul’s wife Auntie Shirley must have taken the photo.

Ma said it brought back such happy memories of two very fun people who are waiting for us in heaven. She shared with Shirley.

Like all Angels they made an apparition just when you needed them most.

It sure did spur Ma and me on to empty another chest and wrap up even more crystal!!!

Blessing#2610-In Good Spirits

Precious Peeps it’s your very own PRINCESS here to heave you over this frigid humpty.

It’s becoming increasingly clear to me that Granny needs help.

Over the past two days she has taken to packing.

Now I don’t mean suitcases but boxes and boxes and boxes of plates and cups and glasses all the while muttering “we’re going to use these”

Truthfully I don’t know what for because in my four years at this kennel I’ve never seen them before let alone used them.

Occasionally she would utter the words “who gave us this” or “when did you buy that set” to Grandpa before smothering said object in bubble wrap.

She piled all these boxes up in the house until Dad emerged from his slumbers and was ordered to take them to the garage with the warning “BE VERY CAREFUL”

We must be going to have some giant party because let me tell you as one born royal not even the Three Kings packed as much when following their star.

I’ll keep my eye on her over the next days and give you an update on the state of her mind.

In the meantime be like me and tend to the feeble and frail by showing them some TLC!

Blessing#2609-Caravan Coming

Over the past three months people often asked Ma if we accepted an offer yet. When she said no they’d say reassuringly “ just be patient the right family will come along”

Now y’all know well that Ma does not have the patience gene but they were so right. Can you believe that the prospective buyers are from China!

There is a Dad who is a doctor at the big university hospital just down the road, a Mom and two little boys and best of all a Grandpa and Grandma!

Can you imagine! It’s so cool. Just like the Bro paved the way for the arrival of these little boys. In keeping with the Advent angle a bit like John the Baptist did for Jesus.

When you live in a place for a long time you come to love it and want the best for your home. You want it to be tenderly taken care of and have lots of parties and joy and celebrations.

So it’s making our hearts happy that there will be such a lot of life in our old place and people who eat dumplings just like we did last night!!!

Blessing#2608-Perfect Match

We thought we’d wait till today to make a special joint announcement. This is going to be a very big month for us.

Our beautiful yellow doors at the new ranch are about to be opened.

Last week we received an offer on our house here and the people who are buying it want to move in soon.

Of course there are inspections to be done so it’s not entirely a done deal but this already started on Friday.

We plan to make the move of our big furniture on December 16 which will be the Bros/Dads quarter century birthday.

Ma/Granny says this is an ADVENT we won’t forget.

The gestation of our new home has been going on since we made our offer mid March and got the keys at the start of April so the baby is well and truly ready to be delivered.

We’ll be like Mary and Joseph taking a ride thirty miles north just in time for our first Christmas.

Blessing#2607-Sale Pending

The Bro was on the early shift yesterday so Ma and me dropped him off at work for 7:00 am.

It was so beautiful to see the sunrise and get that little me time with Mom before Jaws invaded my space.

I just love cruising. Most often I ride shotgun but when it’s just Ma and me I sometimes sit up like a hooman in the front seat.

We had told Dad we’d stop and get him some donuts at Dunkin’s but Ma forgot her purse. She’d only had one coffee so was running on automatic pilot.

Personally I don’t see why she likes that stuff. It’s smells like skunk to me.

On the other hand the bacon sandwich she had with her second cup when we returned smelt divine and slipped down very nicely.

She gave me some and let me lick the grease off her plate.

In my humble opinion there is nothing in the world quite as good as bacon. Hope she takes the hint and makes another when we get up this morning!

Blessing-2606-Streaky Sarnies

The Bro had the day off on Black Friday so he brought the niece and me to the new ranch to rake leaves.

He dropped Ma off at the tearoom and I smacked her one on the lips before we left.

We tried to help him but he said we could play since it’s the holidays and he’d like us to have a fun run to work off the excesses of yesterday.

So we did.

I love my new place. It was cold outside but inside was nice and warm.

I do think we’ll be snug as bugs in there.

Blessing#2605-Turkey Trots

Precious Peeps it’s me the PERFECT One here again to wing you into a weekend that most of you already started.

Dad had to work yesterday from 3:00-11:00 so we had our feast at 12:00. Granny got up at six with the Gizz and got the big bird going before seven so it was well cooked and had time to rest before we tucked in.

The midday meal gave Dad time for a quick snooze before he had to leave.

Dad is good at cutting things down to the wire this makes Granny very agitated.

I’m with Dad. Every second of snoozing is valuable.

Just look what it’s done for us.

Aren’t we the brightest and most beautiful stars in the sky.

Compare us if you will with the wrinkly and grey couple we cohabit with and you must agree that resting as much as possible is good for both body and soul.

It means that when the weekend comes you are sufficiently snoozed up that you can maintain a sleep schedule similar to the energizer Bunny and not faint.

Be like me making the most of up and down time and keep stretching and snoozing. Balance is the key and at all cost avoid fussing it wrecks havoc with you complexion.

I know you all love me so be sure to buy me something when you head out for Black Friday shopping.
