Wagging Tail-1856

You know Ma is always looking for a little innovation. Well here’s her latest creation.

She likes oatmeal but goes off it when the weather gets hot.

This week though she came up with a twist on the Scottish staple.

To cool it down she thought I’ll add some ice cold watermelon and you know what it was yum.

Now some of you are probably making your way to the rest room to puke but trust me I tried and gave it the thumbs up.

She felt real smart about the concoction but I’ve assured her that Scarlet O’Hara probably ate this on a regular basis minus the soy milk of course!

Wonder will it have a dramatic effect on her waistline or will she be Gone with the Wind!

Precious Peeps it’s little old me here your Perfect Princess to heave you over the humpty.

I have had a difficult few days with these crazy storms but the good news is the next week looks as wonderful as me.

Sunny, warm, inviting absolutely my adjectives.

I know that I shake sometimes but be like me and weather the weather.

Forget the past and see only the light bright sunny days ahead.

Oh and lest you are weary sleep in the sun there is nothing quite as wonderful as a well baked body.

It is guaranteed to help you over the highest hurdle.

Talk Friday in the meantime have a great sizzle!

The storms are back and the niece is suffering.

She shook so much on Sunday evening and for so long that Ma was concerned she was going to have a seizure

I really don’t understand what she is worried about. We have a basement.

Now at the new ranch this will be a whole different story. We don’t have a basement so we’ll have to escape into the utility room which will be a tad claustrophobic.

We will cross that bridge when we come to it but in the meantime we have no need to water for the next week!

Make that two!!

I am more than a tad miffed with Ma and the Bro.

They left the niece and me home with Dad and went to the ranch alone. No swimming for us!!!

Their excuse was they wanted to put the robot in the pool for the first time while they were weeding. Said they couldn’t leave us in with it in case we got strangled.

Now granted they were away for six hours so that might have been a tad too long for us to paddle as Ma was on a mission.

She achieved her goal of pulling every thistle out of the flower beds. She always has to have a very specific target. It’s really hard to live with!!

They cooled off with occasional dips and must have pulled ten thousand thistle.

They brought one giant bag of them back here to trash. It filled the entire trunk of the car.

There are plenty more left in a pile back at the ranch.

The robot worked hard too climbing and diving all afternoon.

What we thought was missing paint on the pool floor turned out to be soil.

Since everyone needs a personal R2-D2 they decided to officially make it a pet.

Given that we are three males in the household it has been given female gender. Ma says it’s appropriate as mostly women do the detailing.

They also worked on a name. The Bro came up with the best one CONSUELO the cleaner!

So we are now officially a family of three humans and three pets.

I fervently look forward to frolicking with the new addition sometime very soon.

Yesterday was full of ups and downs for Ma.

She was in a rush as ever. First to the pool to shock it some more with a mental note to be careful not to get it on her clothes.

She remembered until she forgot and on leaving the ranch discovered her pretty green dress was now looking spotted.

She could not serve tea in this!! They’d think she’d just escaped from HAIR.

This called of course for the purchase of a new garment which turned out to be a treasure.

Soft, floaty to hide tummies and with pockets.

Ideal for tea parties and dog walking too!

The green vestment is being kept for future chemical warfare and will no doubt feature in a makeover sometime soon as a tie dye masterpiece.

I have it on good authority that Ma has shocked the pool.

She didn’t scare it or anything with a spooky story she hit with a heap of chlorine enough to sterilize the Amazon.

Should the Bro be available on Sunday she has promised to take the niece and me to splash.

I will be sure to take picks if it happens.

She refuses to take us alone just in case we get in and can’t get out.

She is a fit old gal but not strong enough to lift 40+ wet pounds of puppy.

I’m so excited I can’t sleep.

Please pray we can go.

I have to start marking my new territory.

I can hear Madona singing already and I know that you as well as me will be humming the same tune all day!

Precious Peeps it’s your PERFECT one here to wing you into a wonderful weekend.

If you live in the USA or have ever had occasion to visit then you will know Al Roker the weatherman on TODAY.

He is a legend and I listen to him ever morning to hear if boom booms are on the way.

He was honored this week with an Emmy lifetime achievement award as he’s been an inspiration to so many people.

Not only has he been a broadcaster for fifty years he also has endured many medical moments with the nation.

From bariatric surgery to cancer to joint replacements you name it he’s had it and he’s talked about it so other people know they are not alone.

He also is a great walker and dog lover and all the good things you’d want from a human.

If I didn’t have such a wonderful Grandpa myself I just might adopt him.

Anyway we’re happy for him and also delighted with his forecast that the temperature may fall just a little this weekend.

Be like me. Always COOL!!

It is my thoughtful observation that humans are very fickle.

One minute they’re yapping that there is too much rain and the next they’re begging for a storm.

We canines work to a much more even keel.

The trick is to find a sunny spot where you’re comfortable year round like your favorite air conditioned corner and just stay there.

If the outdoor plants happen to become desiccated consider that to be an indicator that you could become shriveled too.

So stay in the shade and suck a lemon.

Oh and be thankful for the thunderstorms!

Precious Peeps it’s your Perfect Pitty Partner here to heave you over a very hot humpty.

Yesterday to make matters worse Granny had to bake!

Of course I helped. One of these days they’ll make me a Saint.

We made double batches of everything in the hope we can skip next week. The freezer is full.

Some of our scones stuck together like a shamrock.

We thought Saint Patrick would make a point about this if he’d seen it.

Since he kicked the bucket many moons ago we decided to step in and say it for him.

Father, Son and Holy Ghost we appreciate the visit and we will look forward to breaking this bread shortly.

Have a very happy humpty fans I’ll see you Friday. Stay cool, chew ice cubes!!!
