Wagging Tail-1904

Precious Peeps it’s PITS here to heave you over the humpty.

I survived another storm. This one drove me to take cover.

It was horrific. Auntie Catherine lost power. We remained lit and all our pack was together.

The hoomans went on eating their dinner while it boomed and then Granny proceeded to watch Homes Under the Hammer so I knew in my heart if heart all was going to be OK.

It’s funny when you’re with your entire pack that you feel better no matter how bad things are.

If you have no family close by go hang out with your friends or at a place like Granny’s tearoom where you’ll feel the love.

Trust me this Pitty knows that even in the loudest storm a calming voice can help.

Be like me and stay safe and cool.

Well the sign is in the yard.

The house is COMING SOON and we hope that means we’ll be getting many trips to the park when people come to view.

It will be officially on the market this weekend and people can start touring.

Ma has us all on out best behavior and we are eating food that only needs heating up rather than her usual cooked from scratch.

Ma did her baking for the tearoom yesterday and all the materials were placed on top of kitchen paper lest they so much as shed a dusting of flour or sugar on her CLEAN SURFACES!

I must say I am relieved that we’ve reach this point as she is less manic and panicked.

My nose tells me that this may not last though so better make the most of it while she is instilled in some degree of sanity.

Ours is a life of extremes.

One minute we might be watching the most intense BBC Drama you could imagine and the next giggling at reels on Facebook.

On Saturday evening we happened on Daniel Deronda. Now Ma considers herself to be fairly well read but she’d never heard of this George Elliot classic let alone read it. That may have to happen one of these days when she has a spare second or two.

In the meantime she has been hitting the baby reels pretty hard.

If you are in need of a good laugh check them out. They post new material about every five minutes of these AI generated babies telling jokes.

The cool thing is the jokes are all oldies but goodies and the babies all laugh at each other stories.

It’s just how the world should be.

Makes you also stop and think too that all of them, the Vlads, THE Donald, Kim, Xi, Kier, Emmanuel and so on were once little ones too.

Let’s hope this week there is some progress as they get together.

Ma was ecstatic last night when she came home from the tearoom.

A customer had come in and bought a load of treasure.

Two shelves on her bookcase were cleared so now more items from home can be brought for sale.

We have way too much to squeeze into the new kennel so we might as well try to sell it.

Now if we could have a few more days like yesterday there’d be a lot less need to wrap and pack and store!!

Great for my Scooby Snack fund too.

Anyone a collector of Mikasa Indian Feast should be aware a dinner service complete with cups and saucers will be making its way to the tearoom next week.

We’re talking classic mid century modern here peeps so locals please share with your friends!!!

Hallelujah we slept all night without a single dream about house cleaning or renovation.

I dreamt only of MILKBONE and munchies.

Ma says she doesn’t remember dreaming of anything at all.

There was no storm.

There was no problem to worry about.

If all nights were like this it would be wonderful.

There again it might get boring.

How does that old saying go “too much of anything is good for nothing”!

It is time for a trot.

Precious Peeps it me the PERFECT ONE here to propel you into a weekend of wonder.

I am feeling a little more steady on my paws today but it’s still kinda crazy around here.

Yesterday Granny made my Dad’s bed up all smart and fancy and thew all his rugby and football paraphernalia in the closet when he left for work.

Worse still she moved my crate to the garage!!!!!

We went for a walk and when we came back she put me and the stinking Gizz in the screened porch.

This dude then arrived and started walking around our house with a big camera and once he’d finished snooping in my chamber Granny quickly ran upstairs and stripped the bed she’d just made and put our old covers back on!!!!

She then tossed me back into it and closed the door!!!!!

I think we may need to call the men in white coats. The poor old gal is flipping her lid.

I’ll do my best to give her some quality fun time this weekend to try to resuscitate her sanity.

All she needs is to lighten up a little and she’d be nearly as awesome as me.

Stay cool you lovely people and keep drinking your Adam’s Ale!!

Well today we take the plunge of having our photos taken! Of our house that is not us!!

This means Ma has to take me and the niece off site for at least an hour. That’s a long walk to the park and maybe sometime sitting watching the ducks. Auntie Denise is coming too to keep Ma sane.

All signs of our life have to be moved to the garage.

I’m sure though when people start to come and visit, which we hope they will as soon as we go to market, they will sense signs of us.

We know that in the coming weeks we will have extensive sorties as we’re not allowed to be in the house when prospective buyers come. I’m already making plans for time on the trails.

We will have to take Dad along too and find him a shady spot to sit. It will be like doing a road trip except we will just be going round in circles in our own town.

It’s really funny the things hoomans have to do. When I moved here from Texas all I had was a collar.

Both the niece and I are very keen for all this to be over and to get settled into our new suites.

We will post the pics when we get them so you can all see.

Precious Peeps it’s a Perfectly PETRIFIED PITTY here to heave you over the humpty.

Never has a day started so shakily! My poor nerves are completely shot.

We had a storm to end all storms just after midnight. It was like one of those epics you see in horror movies.

Our whole house was shaking not just me.

The noise was incredible and brought Granny the rain y’all have been praying for to green her grass for the picture taking.

This storm ended about an hour after it started so we were all well worn out and fell asleep.

That didn’t last long as another mega monster rolled in. Granted it was not quite on the scale of the first but nonetheless awaking of the dead certainly occurred.

Now as you know I weather storms better when snuggled so I was glad to have Dad to pamper me but let me tell you I’m currently anxious that more might be coming.

I know you all are doing your best to support Granny but she’s had enough of the natural sprinkler to see us though till the weekend so please hold off on further prayers for her and think of me.

I am as always your devoted doggy and if I survive I will speak to you Friday.

We are late on the banter because we hit the snooze button.

The old gal needed extra shut eye and it did me good too.

We are still buffing and polishing and today must hit the deep jungle that is the Bro’s chamber and bathroom.

Ma is doing it as a favor as he already started it on Sunday and yesterday he carried all the basement junk to the garage for her and is going to vacuum all the carpets.

Ma is taking tomorrow off work as she will have last minute fine tuning to do with fancying up the bedrooms and hanging fresh new towels all over the joint.

Since we are in a rush to get the day going we kick started it with a huge cinnamon bun.

There is nothing like super sweet stickiness to make you feel you could climb Everest.

I had to work night duty so I am exhausted.

Ma woke up at 1:15 and tossed and turned for half an hour so I had to snuggle her to try to get her back to sleep.

It took a very long while as she is half demented with all the things that she has to do to get the house ready for the photographer.

He is coming on Thursday morning at 8:00 am so there is pandemonium presently.

Every personal photo is being packed away and all her nicnacs too. The house looks so strange and empty without all her clutter.

World War III also almost broke out yesterday afternoon when the Bro dared to go off site to visit his sweetie for a little while. She read him the riot act when he returned and set him to work on his kennel.

I went into safe hiding.

Dad is still sorting paper to which there is no end.

The number if giant trash bags that have been filled exceeds the number of toes on my four paws.

Please can you pray for us all and especially for some rain as the grass is starting to look a little crispy.
