We didn’t make it on time to see the funeral of the Pope at the Vatican but we did get to see him arrive at his final resting place.

True to form he had planned that his favorite followers would play a role in receiving him at Saint Marie Majeure as his honor guard. “The shepherd has to smell like sheep”

His transport choice of a pick up truck was also very special.

I bet he had a giggle about this from upstairs.

Of course we had to honor him by watching the entire rerun of the ceremony. Perfect!

We ate pizza and Ma had fizz so I bet he’d approve of that too!!

I’m still a bit miffed with Ma that she was hanging out with a kitty during her vacation.

To make matters worse among the trash at the new ranch another has been found.

It is rather forlorn and a tad wrinkly but Ma says we’re keeping it.

It will have a place by the pool.

If it does any nasty business I’ll have the niece nuke it.

You can’t have too many critters in your kingdom even if they are aged and ugly!!

Precious Peeps it’s PITS PERFECT here to project you into a wonderful weekend.

This one I am pleased to say will be spent with my Granny.

I nearly took her out when she returned with high hugs and killer kisses.

Like me she gained a few pounds over the past ten days.

I attribute mine to lack of exercise. Hers is due to too many Ulster Fry breakfasts, fish suppers and general over indulgence of all things Irish.

She brought back some Tayto cheese and onion crisps for Dad and Grandpa but the Gizz and I only got one each.

So now she’s back to porridge we will be out and about kicking up the steps again to redress each imbalance.

I trust you too will have time for trots this weekend and always remember you are almost as PERFECT as a Princess!!

I’m lying here beside Ma feeling so happy to have her home.

She got back around 9:00pm yesterday that’s 2:00 am Irish time so she had a long day.

We went to bed an hour later but she woke up three times in the middle of the night but i didn’t say a word. She can’t help the time change.

The biological clock may be disrupted for a few days to come but it will mean we get up earlier. I’ll just take a Power Nap or two to keep me going.

Can’t wait to get a decent trot today.

Precious Peeps it’s a very happy PITS Perfect here to help you over the humpty.

Granny is coming home tonight unless she is blown away in an Irish gale or eaten by the gulls!!!

I know because Grandpa and Dad have been tidying up and cleaning so she’ll have nothing to moan about when she arrives!!!

I am going to jump on her and hug her and kiss her from head to toe.

She may be a bit grumpy sometimes but she is the best trotter I know.

As you all know the wonderful Pope Francis has crossed the rainbow bridge.

Just like the dear departed Queen Elizabeth he worked till his last day.

We were particularly fond of this Pope because he took the name of Saint Francis a dude who loved all critters.

True to the original Francis’s form this Francis demonstrated love for all peeps.

Ma felt very close to him because he spent a lot of time in prisons. Even last Thursday he was there!

Wonder who he’ll meet in heaven?

Easter and Aunty Carol’s birthday all in one called for much activity in Ireland.

Shame it was so dull here! At least the Bro was home till 11;00 am!!

Ma sent me a video of her trot through the graveyard to church. I love graveyards, so much to sniff, so I’m sure I’d settle in there very well.

The gals then went to Londonderry the second city of Northern Ireland for an overnight stay at a spa.

They steamed and soaked and ate.

Today they’re touring the town.

It will take something more than your average trot to burn off some of those chocolate bunnies!!!

Happy Easter dear reader!

I trust you will have a few Cadbury’s Cream Eggs to crack into this morning.

I know there is a certain person in Ireland noshing a few for her breakfast!

Of course the niece and I would nuke a few if we happened to be given some but Dad is true to form and keeping us on a strictly no chocolate chomp.

Speaking for myself and the niece we are hopeful he will give us the giant bones that have been lurking on the kitchen counter since Christmas.

If we don’t hurry up and eat these monsters they may need to be returned to Santa for this year’s stockings.

Hop on home soon Ma PLEASE!!!

Ma is driving me insane with rage.

Not only am I forced to be sequestered with the SAVAGE but she keeps sending me photos of herself having a good time.

Yesterday was the get together with some of the girl cousins.

Of course much talking was involved and sharing of photos and taking of more photos and of course eating.

What do I get? NADA!

Not a sausage!!

Ma was in particularly good form as she got to have a Cesar salad with chicken as Lent is officially over.

I do not wish to know this.

If she returns without a gift for me after all this selfishness I will pack my bags and return to the Canine Collective from whence I came.

Precious Peeps it’s PITS PERFECT here to propel you into the weekend.

I am feeling the loss of Granny.

She’s not a bad old wrinkly and does much better walks than Dad.

Grandpa is doing his best to comfort me and the stinking grey Gizz in her absence but not even a bucket load of milk bones can make up for the lack of trots.

She is having a ball in Belfast with Auntie Carol going to thrift stores and such. Yesterday she filled a bag with clothes for a pound. You can’t beat that anywhere.

I can’t wait to see her fake leather trousers that were the part of her haul.

Put a big smile on her face. What I need now is something to make me feel so happy.

Sometimes it’s tough being a Princess !!
