Wagging Tail-1750

Precious Peeps PITS PERFECT here to heave you over the humpty.

What a great day it will be for those two astronauts But h and Sunny who splashed down last night after nearly a year in space.

Maybe you already know but Sunny, the lady, has two dogs waiting for her.

Can you imagine if your hooman left one day and said “be good I’ll be back in a week” and then 45 weeks later you’re still waiting.

I’m sure these fur babies were well cared for but they will be beyond excited when their Mom walks through the door.

I know it will probably be a few days before they see her but I bet they already sense she is back on earth.

I know that I know when my hoomans are homeward bound. You just feel it in your bones.

Irish feasting was scuppered by Ma’s forgetfulness.

She failed to recall that she had a dinner to attend last evening.

So she had Mexican, Dad leftover chicken and the Bro a burger.

I’m sure Saint Patrick understood the eclectic nature of our food culture.

Tonight though the CHAMP is guaranteed.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this delicacy it consists of spuds mashed up with lashings of butter and cream or milk to which scallions are generously added. A well of butter is created in the middle of the served mound of mash and it is eaten with a heavy had of salt and preferably a spoon so you can dip into the central well of wonder!

Of course ours will be made with vegan butter aka marg and no milk or cream so it won’t be nearly as good as usual but we’ll tuck in anyway!

Top of the morning to you good Saint Patrick peeps.

The poor niece had a very shaky day yesterday but sure as shooting the ancient saint did his job and has restored us to temperate conditions.

Better still the shamrock Aunt Denise got us is blooming just on time.

We are having spuds a la irlandaise and cabbage for dinner and the men folk will have ham to go with it. Of course the vegan will not.

She says the Irish survived on the American root for centuries and did OK so she will survive another few weeks.

All you have to do is eat enough of them and she never has a problem with that!

Talk about the difference a day makes.

From blazing sunshine to pouring rain.

The grass will be emerald by tomorrow just in time for Saint Patrick’s Day .

Ma says the good lad is known to turn the sunny side up so I’ll be anticipating a brighter start to the week.

The tornadoes are already ripping through the South and Midwest so I’m on duty tending to the shaking niece.

It’s the one time I do feel sorry for her because she looks so pathetic.

We have contemplated buying her one of those thunder shirts but you know Ma is mean so she’s not ready yet to fork out a fortune for something we’re not sure will work.

I’m doing all I can to tend to her and hope to be recognized for my endeavors.

At this time of year if you stayed in one place for more than an hour you could see things grow.

In a matter of minutes our grass has gone from dreary to darling.

This puts Ma in an exceptionally good mood so we all benefit.

Walks are extended and snacks are abundant in line with appetite that is augmented.

Since Ash Wednesday with the imposition of Vegan we have been pecking on the peanuts as herself is conscious that her protein intake may be too low.

Now I do like nuts (no qualifications needed on that) but you can have too much of a good thing. I am hankering for some good old cheese puffs.

Oh well not to worry I’ll just keep on doing what I do best; watching and waiting.

Precious Peeps PITS PERFECT here to project you passionately into the weekend.

I was sound asleep when the eclipse occurred this morning and I hope you were too.

These cosmic events are all well and good but beauty sleep is more important especially if you’re keen on a Keeshond!

I tell you my beau is beautiful!!!

I can only imagine what our offspring would look like.

Shame that that stinker of a Granny won’t let us snuggle up and worse still that she had me snipped.

Now I’ll never know what it’s like to produce a Keesbull or Pithond!

Of well I can still hope for a huggy with the hairy sometime soon.

Wagging Tail-1744

I do my very best to give the niece some life lessons.

Sometimes she listens and sometimes not.

Take yesterday morning as an example. On the way to the park we met a local yokel aka a fur ball. This piece of fluff is friendly and of course you know who was all over him and his parents.

I told her “chill out” but oh no she had to go after fluffy like he was the last dog on earth. So poor Ma got all wrapped up with his Dad and feared the dude might fall.

Ma anticipated an immediate law suit but fortunately I was able to take the situation in hand and keep Jaws under control while the two untangled.

I keep telling her that she is not nearly grateful enough for a Granny like the one she’s been blessed with. She really does need to step up to the mark and contribute to this household just like me!!!

Precious Peeps it’s your Perfect Pitty here to help you over the humpty.

Shouldn’t be too difficult for you as it’s gorgeous here. Granny says it’s like a good Irish summer day.

As expected the sunshine means two good trots a day and somehow since I don’t go to bed till it’s dark I feel I’m packing more into my schedule.

Good old Gran is now one week on the vegan venture.

Last night she had homemade hummus with cucumber salad.

Man that stuff stinks of garlic but since she ate it with tortilla chips that she always shares I’ll encourage her to have some more.

I am pleased to inform you that Dad cooked burgers for him and Grandpa. That is the best smell you can wish for.

Give us another few days like these and we meat eaters will be outside grilling!

It was a beautiful Monday to start the week.

Clear blue skies and a very distinct warming trend.

In just a few days the little tips of the daffodils have started to come through the ground.

For sure we have turned the corner on winter and even if we get more snow we know it won’t stick.

The longer day ended with a spectacular sunset that I took time to admire as you can see.

All in all a great spring forward!

Sometimes of a Sunday if PBS has nothing good you gotta surf YouTube TV.

So it was yesterday when Ma hit on this program about Dads hometown Mumbai.

It was really good and Ma and Pa said they felt like they were revisiting old hot spots from visits years ago.

So as it is with YouTube when you finish watching one program they offer you up some more of a similar gendre.

That’s why we spent the whole evening watching one program after another about India.

It clean wore me and the niece out but Ma and Pa remained remarkably alert in spite of the spring forward!!!
