Wagging Tail-1731

Precious Peeps it’s Pits Perfect here to project you into a wonderful weekend.

You won’t believe it but the temperature has swung to a crazy balmy 55F.

Now remember dear reader that this time last week it was a full fifty degrees lower!!

Can you wrap your head around this.

Of course we are delighted as it means no ice so longer trots.

However with such a swing comes a storm.

There was thunder on Wednesday that led to a whole round of Facebook post. So loud was the boom that people thought there’d been a bomb.

Even the Grumpy Gizz who is never afraid of the heavenly hollers, was scared so go figure how I reacted. Everything was shaking.

More rumblings forecast today in the meantime must march.

Sometimes just when you’re not expecting it you get a lovely surprise.

So it was yesterday when Auntie Denise gave us a shamrock plant.

It is just about to bloom so we will have flowers on it for Saint Patrick’s Day.

Ma put it OBVIOUSLY into a green potholder and gave it prime position on the kitchen window.

This way each time anyone in the household who does the dishes will have a reminder of how lucky they are that they just had breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Precious Peeps it’s PITS here to heave you over the humpty.

I’ve been having the busiest time these past days cruising and cooking and generally being a cute canine.

I just love sharing my success stories with you as I know you’re not even a tad jelly.

I don’t need to stick my nose into what you did last week I know that since you love me you’re a good guy.

If you have to ask people to justify their existence it means you have insecurity about your own merit.

Be like me enjoy each moment.

Eat the candy, ride in The Rolls if you get the chance and boycott any ideas of colonization of Mars.

I’ll not be on that space ship and I know you’d miss me madly.

We had such a fun time yesterday cruising around.

When you have a lot of little things to do and you can get them all done in one go it’s swell.

It’s especially sweet if your canine companies get to ride along.

First we went to the town hall then the bank then got Dad his whiskey then got the things we forgot at the grocery store when we did the shopping.

We made it in a perfect circle without doubling back on our tracks. This is extremely important for Ma who cannot stand going backwards!!

Ma snagged a few bargains and we frightened the life out of poor unassuming ladies who shop on Monday.

All the snow is gone and we’re feeling balmy.

So glad the week started well and we had one of the most delicious comfort food dinners requested by the Bro.

Grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup.

Sun and sleep are good for the soul.

Inspirational even!

We’d had leftover mashed potatoes in the fridge since Wednesday so Ma decided they had to be used or tossed.

Ding ding ding!

What do Irish people do with a resource such as this?

They transform it into potato farls.

I tell you they came together so fast and once fried they were so yummy.

We served them with pork cooked with grapes and cream.

Not light but very tasty.

Now I can’t wait till we make mash again!

Wait for it! We are about to thaw. It is, as promised, going above zero this afternoon.

I am anticipating Ma will make the most of it just in case we have an Arctic rebound.

She missed about forty thousand steps this past week so that makes her anxious.

Yesterday we met my pal Remington for a long loop and he was in fine form.

Of course the niece was all over him like a bad rash.

She thinks he’s “in love” with her whatever IN LOVE means.

Maybe I’ve listened to one too many Diana dramas.

We need to change channels or I’ll be tuning into a King.

Well yesterday I just couldn’t believe it. The wind wasn’t blowing at gale force and the temperature had risen to -10C so Ma took us to the park.

I kept looking her in the eye to be sure she’d keep on going and I pulled the leash out real far to drag her in the right direction.

Sure enough she kept on going.

It’s amazing to think that we weathered this storm without winter wear!

I was honestly starting to think we were in Narnia and would have to wait for the return of Aslan before we’d get a decent walk again.

Just goes to show that if you hope hard enough for something dreams can come true.

Today should be a full circuit of the big loop so gotta dash.

Precious Peeps it’s PITS Perfect here to project you into a very slip slidy weekend.

Granny did try to take us for a trot yesterday but we didn’t get more than a quarter of a mile and our feet started hurting.

In Ohio things have been like a blast freezer but we haven’t had nearly as much snow as upstate New York where Auntie Brenda lives. They have had not just feet but meters of snow.

The critters in the Dakotas have had windchills that bring the temperature to minus THIRTY THREE Celsius!!!

Can you imagine that?

I am puzzled to know where dogs go for their jobs under such circumstances!

The good news is that we might just just just get above freezing tomorrow afternoon but of course Granny will be at the tearoom at that time but heyho you never know Dad may take me out.

Of course we’ll leave the old Grey stinker with Grandpa

I am so fed up with this stinking cold and not being able to get in my workout.

I fear I will become chunky as a chipmunk if it doesn’t warm up soon.

Healthy hunks like me run on endorphins generated by exercise.

Unlike some types who live to eat we were born to run.

If Ma doesn’t make an effort and take me to the park soon I will plan an escape and go by myself.

I may have to call upon Jaws to distract Dad while I make a run for it!!!

Greetings Precious Peeps it’s seems like a lifetime since I talked with you but it’s only a few days!

Time for me to push you over the humpty.

It’s a bit like Everest out here and as cold as Siberia.

I can’t handle it too well. -20C is too chilly!

On Monday Auntie Denise had to take to rubbing me to keep me warm while the Gizz did his business.

So we are going for tiny trots for the rest of the week so I don’t shiver to death.

There is only so much staring out the window that I can handle!

So of course I have to let off some steam sometimes too so I’m doing my circuit training around the dining room table.

It drives Grandpa nuts which is very funny.

The more he screams the faster I get.

I’m just like an Olympic athlete!

Hoping y’all stay warm and snug. Love ya!
