Sun and sleep are good for the soul.

Inspirational even!

We’d had leftover mashed potatoes in the fridge since Wednesday so Ma decided they had to be used or tossed.

Ding ding ding!

What do Irish people do with a resource such as this?

They transform it into potato farls.

I tell you they came together so fast and once fried they were so yummy.

We served them with pork cooked with grapes and cream.

Not light but very tasty.

Now I can’t wait till we make mash again!

Wait for it! We are about to thaw. It is, as promised, going above zero this afternoon.

I am anticipating Ma will make the most of it just in case we have an Arctic rebound.

She missed about forty thousand steps this past week so that makes her anxious.

Yesterday we met my pal Remington for a long loop and he was in fine form.

Of course the niece was all over him like a bad rash.

She thinks he’s “in love” with her whatever IN LOVE means.

Maybe I’ve listened to one too many Diana dramas.

We need to change channels or I’ll be tuning into a King.

Well yesterday I just couldn’t believe it. The wind wasn’t blowing at gale force and the temperature had risen to -10C so Ma took us to the park.

I kept looking her in the eye to be sure she’d keep on going and I pulled the leash out real far to drag her in the right direction.

Sure enough she kept on going.

It’s amazing to think that we weathered this storm without winter wear!

I was honestly starting to think we were in Narnia and would have to wait for the return of Aslan before we’d get a decent walk again.

Just goes to show that if you hope hard enough for something dreams can come true.

Today should be a full circuit of the big loop so gotta dash.

Precious Peeps it’s PITS Perfect here to project you into a very slip slidy weekend.

Granny did try to take us for a trot yesterday but we didn’t get more than a quarter of a mile and our feet started hurting.

In Ohio things have been like a blast freezer but we haven’t had nearly as much snow as upstate New York where Auntie Brenda lives. They have had not just feet but meters of snow.

The critters in the Dakotas have had windchills that bring the temperature to minus THIRTY THREE Celsius!!!

Can you imagine that?

I am puzzled to know where dogs go for their jobs under such circumstances!

The good news is that we might just just just get above freezing tomorrow afternoon but of course Granny will be at the tearoom at that time but heyho you never know Dad may take me out.

Of course we’ll leave the old Grey stinker with Grandpa

I am so fed up with this stinking cold and not being able to get in my workout.

I fear I will become chunky as a chipmunk if it doesn’t warm up soon.

Healthy hunks like me run on endorphins generated by exercise.

Unlike some types who live to eat we were born to run.

If Ma doesn’t make an effort and take me to the park soon I will plan an escape and go by myself.

I may have to call upon Jaws to distract Dad while I make a run for it!!!

Greetings Precious Peeps it’s seems like a lifetime since I talked with you but it’s only a few days!

Time for me to push you over the humpty.

It’s a bit like Everest out here and as cold as Siberia.

I can’t handle it too well. -20C is too chilly!

On Monday Auntie Denise had to take to rubbing me to keep me warm while the Gizz did his business.

So we are going for tiny trots for the rest of the week so I don’t shiver to death.

There is only so much staring out the window that I can handle!

So of course I have to let off some steam sometimes too so I’m doing my circuit training around the dining room table.

It drives Grandpa nuts which is very funny.

The more he screams the faster I get.

I’m just like an Olympic athlete!

Hoping y’all stay warm and snug. Love ya!

Well Ma and me are all caught up on our Simple Abundance daily readings .

Ma and Auntie Marsha are going out at lunch time to eat Greek and have a chat about it all.

One thing you have to do is write down five things you are grateful for each day.

Abundance starts with Gratitude.

Of course as you all know I’m an old paw at this but Ma has found a pretty calendar and is now recording daily too.

Of course I featured in her birthday list along with snow and gifts and a good movie.

I expect to feature regularly given my grace and gregarious goodness!!!

Ma was thrilled to have a good fall of snow for her birthday.

She is a big fan of the white water.

She had to go to church as she was one of the ushers but Dad stayed home with us as he was worried it was too slippery.

The journey was well worth it as she was showered with presents by auntie Lori.

Truth be told the roads were indeed quite treacherous so Ma had to slither home like a slug.

We then had a great snuggle reading the new book Auntie Marsha got her. It’s called Simple Abundance a Day Book of Comfort and Joy.

In order to get on the same page as Marsha we have to read up until February 16 so we can compare notes.

Since the humans postponed plans for birthday dining out Ma made her favorite slow cooked ribs and broccoli salad for dinner and had the special Prosecco that Auntie Paula got her.

All and all it was a wonderful white winter winner of a day.

You’d be forgiven for thinking that the number of this Tail is designed to sync with the date of Ma’s birthday but she’s not quite that old yet.

She was born light years ago though and I’m surprised she can gallop as fast as she can still.

She has as you know quite some wrinkles but she claims they are laugh lines. According to her being a little chubbier than she was helps hide the depth of these dents in the body work!

She also has very very very “blond” hair! Truth be told it’s because most of it is white but what she saves on highlights I get in MILKBONES so no need to tell her I said that.

I am going to be particularly snuggly with her today as there is not much else to do. We have freezing rain again to be followed by snow so too slippery for long trots.

I’ve smacked her a good one on the lips from all of you!!!

Did you have a romantic valentines?

Must say mine was pretty boring.

Maybe it’s my age.

Could be that I’m no longer the most eligible bachelor in this territory!

I was expecting at least to have a instagram message from the chicks at the end of the street on their fire hydrant but not a sniff.

Maybe it’s the smell of JAWS around our house that puts my fans off.

Oh well I know you dear readers live me more than tongue can tell.

I’ll go now and wrap my chops around a MILKBONE to cheer myself up a bit.
