Well the bread puddings were given the thumbs up and may need to be manufactured on a regular basis.
We are never short of crusts!
The only thing better than them yesterday was the reopening of Notre Dame. WOW is all I can say it is so beautiful.

I really need to go see Quasi. Bet he never thought when the fire happened that the bells would need to be rung again so soon. It is so light and bright and ancient and modern all rolled into one.
Made me think that its makeover was a bit like bread pudding something magic happened when the charred remains were whisked together with new ingredients under the guidance of the master chef!

When annual events pop up do you ever think to yourself it’s not possible that a year has past.
Well last night out dear PoW hosted her Together at Christmas Carol concert. What a year she and her family have had. We can all wish that the future will be bright for them.
Today we have our fourth Victorian Christmas at the tearoom.
Ma has to dress up and pretend to be a lady. One thing she has achieved over these past four years is piling on plenty of pounds so squeezing into one of her old long dresses may no longer be possible.
She contemplated dressing as Scrooge instead but figured that might go down like a lump of lead.
We’re hoping our new invention of mini bread puddings slip down smoothly along with our usual fare of mince pies and shortbread and of course scones and cucumber sandwiches.
Must dash as we gotta get cooking.
Pray a few stick and break so I get those for my brekkie! Otherwise it will be another notch on Ma’s ever rising odometer.
You may recall that several years ago our house was struck by lightening. The major impact was the need for a new roof. Several electronics got fried like the TV downstairs.
We discovered sometime later that the DVD player upstairs had been nuked too and wouldn’t open but the TV of course was fine.
Work that out ye who have a brain cell.
Fast forward dear folks to yesterday. Ma was hankering for some Sound of Music so she beseeched the Bro to see if the DVD downstairs attached to the dead TV might by some Christmas miracle be OK.
That being the case (hallelujah chorus!!!) the downstairs DVD was brought upstairs and after much jiggery pokery that only young males are capable of was united to the functioning TV.
Having allowed Julie Andrew’s to emerge over the hill and spin around just once the Bro quickly switched to the Vicar of Dibley.
Ma did not moan as she likes that too and is secretly elated that all her old Christmas box sets will now be available once more for festive viewing.
She wondered though why it took her years to get the job done!!!
