Wagging Tail-2045

Precious Peeps it PITS, PERFECT as ever and here to whizz you into a wonderful weekend.

Sad about the olds kings wasn’t it. We have a new one though since yesterday. He is getting special drops to condition his water and has remained spritely so far. We have also learned we must not feed him more than he can eat in two minutes. That’s not much but I’ll give him lessons on whistling backwards!

His name is KONG as he is, we trust, a very robust and different type of King.

If he does OK we will get him a friend or two. If he croaks we will give up on fish and revert to a mammals only household.

I have agreed with Granny that I will talk to him each time I enter the kitchen which is every time the fridge door is opened.

I must say I do like KONG he is much easier to get along with than the stinking Gizz.

He’s a great mover and wiggles his butt almost a magically as me.

Of course he’s far from PERFECT like I mean no one is except yours truly.

I know that’s why you all love me so!

Hope you have a fun time and get to boggie a bit even if it’s only with a fish or around your kitchen island.

We’ll talk soon latest on the humpty. Hugs

We have been beset by a tragedy.

The Kings have all died.

They were swimming around happily until around six o’clock in the evening and then things deteriorated rapidly.

Ma had fried salmon for dinner and we wonder did that smell drive them to the brink.

They had been eating their little hearts out just two hours earlier.

We fear they may have over done it

We tried changing their water but to no avail.

We only had them for a day but we are so sad.

We plan to seek advice this morning at the pet store and try again.

We will always remember them though and thr joy they briefly brought

Precious Peeps it’s the PERFECT one here to heave you happily over the humpty.

Yesterday as you might well know was the Epiphany, the twelfth day of Christmas when the wise men came to see baby Jesus. Granny said these were twelve days she’ll never forget.

Yesterday was also the closing on our old house when papers are signed and keys handed over and promise of transfer of large sums of money take place.

To celebrate and mark this very special occasion Granny had an idea.

We’d go and got new pets. So we all piled in the car and went to the shops. Granny and Dad went into the store and came back with a big bag and we went home.

Granny pulled a round glass bowl from the cupboard. It was meant for salad but had been buried unused for decades. So now it would be given purpose.

Into this bowl went three bags of water each containing a new family member! FISH!

Since the day was all about the coming of the Kings we decided to name them Balthazar, Caspar and Melchior or BALTI, CAS and MEL for short.

BALTI is the biggest and most flamboyant so he is Dads, CAS has a fancy wiggly tail so is Granny’s and Grandpa was landed with MEL who has a little black tip to his tail.

They are now safely swimming on where else but our kitchen island.

My nose is not in the least out of joint because I know that there will be more wagging tails to tell about these critters.

Be like me and accept with grace any dimwit idea of your Granny’s!!!

Just pretend she is smart and hasn’t lost it!

Love y’all!

Ma had to get gas yesterday evening so she took me along for the ride.

When we got home my leash got stuck in the consul that separates the front seats .

While I was literally hanging around waiting to be detached the blood surged to my head giving me a great idea.

The only way Ma could detach me was by removing the leash.

I saw my chance to explore the new neighborhood so I took off.

I will tell you it was great fun I hit at least ten back yards and crossed the main road FOUR times.

All the while Ma was running behind me screaming.

Eventually I did a loop back into our new neighbors yard and decided enough was enough and stopped.

Ma scolded me something shocking and told Dad and the Bro it was a miracle I wasn’t killed.

I slept well and dreamt of my adventure.

During our move we found many things buried deep in drawers that had never been used.

Our resolve is to use them or loose them.

So it is that these past days Ma has been having poached eggs regularly on smilie toast.

The poacher is plastic for microwave use and does the job very well.

The smilie maker is also plastic and requires you to commit to daily happiness by pushing it into your bread before putting the bread in the toaster.

I love these two things as I get share of their production.

Must rush as this has made me hungry.

Trotting in the snow is excessively tiring but it’s so comfy when you come back into your lovely warm kennel.

The niece and I called a truce and found our best spots to snooze.

Meanwhile, Ma listened to the news about Venezuela and chewed her nails. She is anxious about what is next.

We don’t know much of Maria Corina Machado but she did receive the Nobel Prize so she can’t be a bad sort. Her letter suggests she is supportive of the strike.

We’re glad we’re not humans but Ma has learned more about Venezuela in the past few hours than she ever dreamt she might.

I’ve reminded her that her worrying will not impact the situation and that she must sleep!

She said she’ll try.

Ma and me did virtually nothing yesterday and it was good.

We went with the niece for a short ride in the car to the post office and then had a nice walk in the snow around part of the gigantic graveyard.

When we got home Ma made some Cambell’s chicken soup and managed to burn it. Now don’t tell her I said this but who burns canned soup?

Her excuse was that she’s still getting used to the electric hob having had gas for centuries.

She better hurry up as it makes a stink.

Auntie Marsha stopped in for a tour of the new kennel and was delighted with the progress until she saw the garage at which point she almost swooned.

Ma decided we needed to forget about the garage and rest a little so we had a lovely nap.

For dinner we made fried rice from leftovers and then sat in front of the TV watching a program about the factory where Mr Kipling Cakes are made.

Do you know they make a BILLION cakes a year! Ma said it made her nostalgic for the factory visits she often made and that the scale of food production is awe inspiring.

I said all those buns we’re beautiful and appetizing so we had to have some snacks before we adjourned to the land of nod and dreamed of French Fancy’s and Apple Pies

Precious Peeps it’s your very own PERFECT Princess here.

Usually I would be full of fun on a Friday but today I’m just filled with sorrow for those beautiful young souls who died in that terrible fire in Switzerland.

My Granny and Grandpa and Dad lived in that country for years and have many dear friends there.

It’s such a well organized place and safety is taken very seriously.

It also has some of the best medical units in the world so the injured will receive great care but they will still be scarred for life.

We are heart broken just thinking of all the parents and family and pets who will have an empty chair at their tables.

It is just too sad.

What is your hope for 2026? Is it world peace? If so let me as a canine councilor ask you “are you at peace with yourself”?

What would this look like?

You’d probably just have had a very good uninterrupted sleep. If you didn’t why didn’t you? Work to resolve this first.

Maybe you have resentments or worries or pain or you’re too hot or it’s noisy. Fix these issues. Oh I hear you say that is easier said than done. It may be but have your tried to get to the root of the problem? Take noise as an example. If Casey wakes you up invest in earplugs!

If you’re well rested you should be more energized. This will help you accomplish daily tasks and to take long leisurely trots.

Exhaustion, that leads to negativity and ultimately to anger and bitterness, is less likely to occur if you’ve had plenty of shut eye.

If you haven’t slept well take a little rest every hour or so. Stop doing whatever you have to do for two minutes and just sit and think of the night to come.

Think of the nice dreams you might have. What would they be about? Who would they involve? What can you do to make them happen?

There that’s it; you’re all set for the year ahead.

Wagging Tail-2036

Precious Peeps it’s Pits Perfect here to propel you with passion into a New Year.

Today is your last chance to make your mark on 2025 so get chewing.

Yesterday Granny returned with another load from the old house that included a very long cushion she called a “bolster”. She wasn’t sure if she really wanted to keep it so I helped her decide by eating a hole in it within ten minutes of its appearance.

Now I tell you this as an example of my decisiveness. You have got to be like me. Don’t dilly dally wondering what to do just get to the point and severe yourself from anything that is not essential. Granny is making progress in this regard, Dad is a fervent follower of my fashion but Grandpa needs some serious help as illustrated by the fact our garage can no longer house a vehicle since it is swimming in boxes of papers and books and art and frames and more chafing dishes than owned by the Ritz.

Make 2026 your year of success by being like me. Pare away with passion anything that lacks purpose or calorific value. Unfortunately this excludes the elimination of the stinking Gizz. He has no purpose but is made mostly of digestible material!

Elevate yourself and your position and climb to the pinnacle of PERFECTION.

Have an outstanding 2026 and listen up for further enlightenment.

As always with love your Princess
