Wagging Tail-1534

Precious Peeps Pits PERFECT here to bring you fun and laughter on this best of days. FRIDAY!.

So we all know that Granny is not Glenn Close!

She is a little less tight knit. More a five ply than a two ply.

She’s snuggly though and she loves and hugs me so I want to share this image with you.

Image you could make a Granny.

Wouldn’t she look like mine all fluffy and well stuffed and wouldn’t she for sure have a dog just like me by the neck.

So dear hearts if you have nothing else planned for the weekend just make a mini me.

It will be perfect for your nerves and for my image. Purl a Perfect Pitty.

Ma is always looking for novel things for the tearoom.

When she happened on this she said she could taste the tea.

Memories came flooding back of days at the seaside with tomato sandwiches that got warmed up during the trip to the beach and tea that had stewed for an hour or two from a flask.

It’s funny how just something as simple as this can evoke such emotions.

There is truth for sure that the sense of smell is powerful in making us feel happy.

If you’ve ever got a down day just sniff a MILK BONE! Trust me you’ll be back in shape in seconds!!

PRECIOUS PEEPS PITS PERFECT here to help you over the hump.

Today we’re talking treats.

The tearoom has quite some regular customers who love a certain Northern Irish delicacy the famous Fifteen!

Granny makes them every week and is not averse to giving out the recipe.

After all she got the recipe from my cousin Laura. Pass on the passion peeps!

I love them because I get the tail ends sometimes.

What’s a tad troubling is that the customers are now churning out the cute cookies that look better than Granny’s.

Should she panic?

I think not!

These are destined for duty in the White House Cookbook coming soon!!!!!!

Now tell me if you saw this picture what would you think?

Does it look like anyone you know?

I thought it was one of those Facebook tricks where they put someone’s head on someone else’s body.

No dear reader this is NOT Mom with a tiny pooch this is Glenn Close the actress at Wimbledon.

First, did you know dogs were allowed to go? Next time I’ll be there!

Secondly, why is she dressed like she’s running for President? That long tie is a giveaway on whom she supports.

Thirdly, did you know that this lady is 77. Don’t tell Ma or she’ll be miffed.

Finally did you know she played JD Vance’s granny in Hillbilly Elegy and he’s just been picked to run on the ticket as VP by the long tie opponent.

Question! Should the niece now run on mine?

What a day of sport!

We all enjoyed the tennis although we’d have liked five sets.

An advantage of having a tearoom is you often get leftover strawberries and cream of a Sunday and so it was that we like those present at Wimbledon tucked into the treat.

I took care of the BEAST who eventually succumbed to slumber.

Having seen Carlos raise the Cup from the hands of the PoW Ma and I took a siesta too like all good Spaniards would.

We were all set for the kickoff of the footie at three but so were the storms.

They rolled in just in time to give us a power cut after the Spanish goal but we were restored to see England equalize.

Great to see all the royals cheering Princes William and George and of course The King of Spain and Infanta Sophia.

In the end it was a great game and Spain were triumphant.

We did have our Tadoori chicken even though we didn’t run to extra time.

Ma had to go to work so she missed the drama on center court yesterday at the women’s final.

Dad and I watched and Ma was able to follow live but all she had was the score. It was a nail biter. Ma said it was just as dramatic as watching but of course she subjected me to a rerun when she came home!!! Tears with the speeches of course.

The THING had been confined to her chambers when the bro left for work so Dad and I had peace.

Now the big news is out that the Princess of Wales is going to the men’s finals Ma is debating whether to go to church or not today. Dad has decided he’s staying home.

The Prince of Wales is going to the footie so it will be a right Royal show from dawn till dusk.

We have to think of what to eat. We’re leaning towards the most popular dish in the UK Tandoori Chicken with Naan bread.

We can have it and watch if the footie runs into extra time.

Poor Bro has to work. Poor Ma will cry some more.

I hate that PIT she is the most menacing monster you could meet.

She hasn’t a good word to say about me yet I groom her daily.

Talk about ingratitude.

I feel a bit disgruntled with the world right now.

It’s like everyone is pointing fingers at those even just a little older than themselves.

Just wait until you’re no longer a spring chicken or a Pretty Pitty.

Thank goodness I have Mum. She’s even older than I am.

Precious Peeps I am PITch (note the smart mix) Perfect and I’m here to make sure this busy weekend of sport kicks off to a great start.

I trust it will be action packed unlike our walks.

The stinking Grey Gizzard is so slow. I know he is Granny’s dog and she’s not that fast on her feet either but man he is like a big slug.

Only a mutt like him could spend so much time sorting out the wood from the trees.

I just put my nose to the ground and follow the trail like a bloodhound. I’m as fast as a center court forward (see that second smart mix!)

It’s probably because he is deficient in brain cells. Maybe took too many headers in his youth.

I’m hoping the speed on the courts and PITCH will be remarkable just like me!!!

So we didn’t serve as the maternity unit this year for the herd but we are currently most definitely the nursery school.

Mama deer is teaching her fawns all about good manners and how to nibble nicely on my Mama’s flowers.

These are to be taken only when vast quantities of honeysuckle hedge has been consumed.

After this, practice is given on skipping around the yard and finally the most crucial lesson of all; how to safely cross the road.

I do my best to also tach them that certain dogs are not as nice as the niece and me so I pretend to be fierce and bark at them.

This drives Dad demented but I am doing my civic duty in keeping the wildlife alive for another season.

When in the White House I promise that venison will not be served! It would be like eating family.

Precious Peeps Pits Perfect here to get you over the HUMP.

I’m feeling mellow because Dad and Granny were both off yesterday so we watched tennie and footie together and then ate big fat burgers and home made chips for dinner.

We aren’t quite sure how to cope on Sunday when we have both the finals. Grandpa suggested bringing the TV from the basement to the living room so we could watch both at the same time. He’s not stupid!!

In between yesterday’s games Granny and I took a little time to get some air.

It wasn’t really sunny but it was still hot.

I love hanging out with her. She’s not a bad old gal even if she chases me around the living room with the vacuum now and then.

Don’t you think I look exceptionally pretty in these pics? Regal and poised like the most precious of Princesses

We are waiting with bated breath for PoW to appear at Wimbledon and are anticipating she’ll get at least a ten minute standing ovation.

Watch this spot for more predictions.
