Wagging Tail-1563

Do you ever have weeks that seem like months? I don’t know why this happens but it sucks because they just drag on.

Funny bit about it is that we all want to live longer so why do we want days to go by quickly.

Is it because we are all waiting for the weekend?

Now wouldn’t you think that anyone with a titter of wit who could retire and have permanent weekend would stay home with me and enjoy my company?

Oh no not Ma! She has to go to work and the time when she’s away goes by sooooo slowly.

That’s why when she does come home I stick to her like glue but that as you heard yesterday can have consequences.

For anyone that ever feels the clock is ticking too slowly try spending half an hour in a Pitty’s palace.

Trust me no smelling salts are needed to keep you on your toes.

Precious Peeps Pits Perfect here to get your weekend off to a hilarious start.

To be prepared for what I’ll recount please go now and get a clean pair of nickers as chances are you may need to change the ones you are wearing.

So here’s the deal. Granny returned from work and the stinky Gizz had been already fed. She ran to my chambers to release me and while I scoffed my meager ration she ran outside to water some plants.

When she returned she put on my harness and hollered for the Gizz.

Unusual he obeys her every command when it involves going out but he was nowhere to be found.

She checked his usual haunts went outside and screamed loud enough for him to get in that I thought my ears might burst. Nothing doing. The Gizz was gone.

I rubbed my paws together and then placed them in the pose of prayer and beseeched BIGPAW above that he would be swiftly run over by a truck.

Granny opened the trunk of the car and I jumped in and off we went to search for him.

We went to Auntie Denises first as he’s sweet on her, then to PJ and Eddies place since their his buds. Nothing doing.

We returned home and he was still missing so we went to see if he was at at his girlfriends. Again no luck.

I was smirking with glee at the prospect of being a single dog when we decided to go down onto the main road. He had not been squashed alas. We returned home via Remingtons and Granny was deciding on next steps.

She’d have to call in the troops.

By now 30 minutes had passed and he was still awol.

That’s when Granny had a brainwave. She opened our front door and started ringing the doorbell. Her rational was that if he was within earshot he’d be over in an instant to guard the ranch.

Sure enough a bark was heard.

She did it again and the barking resumed.

Now here is the deal dudes. Guess where he was?

In MY CHAMBER. He’d followed Granny there when she went to get me and got distracted by snacks Dad had left lying around and got closed in.

I thought I might die of disappointment that he wasn’t toast but then Granny felt sorry for him and took us both for a ride in the car to the playground.

While our hot peppers were munched to sticks by giant caterpillars that epitomize the “THE VERY HUNGRY” concept, more refined morphed versions of the species were sucking nectar at the tearoom.

Since Auntie Laura planted the butterfly bushes there the monarchs and other fluttering friends have not failed to pass by each summer.

We are awaiting with bated breath the size of the critters that the green monsters will erupt into.

People are amazed that Ma didn’t nuke them after the havoc they wrought but she’s a scientist at heart and has created a corner for them to munch madly.

I’m curious myself to see the outcome.

Maybe we could frame the fellows.

Precious Peeps PITS Perfect here to help you holler over the hump.

Yesterday Granny took me and Grumpy for a very long trot.

When we returned I was still chipper so when she went to the yard to do a bit of gardening I got busy.

She returned to find that not only had I brought her underwear to feast on under the dining table I’d also ripped up her H for Hilfiger red shoe.

Now if this were a true Tommy I think I may have been sequestered to my quarters for a while.

However it was 100% fake made of pure plastic and acquired for the princely sum of $1.

It wasn’t even that tasty as she’d only got it a while ago go so hadn’t yet become super stinky.

I have been gifted it as a souvenir.

Hope you have a happy day. Talk Friday

If you know anything about Indian culture you will know you must eat yogurt daily. (Top marks if you get the pun pals)

Now I have become accustomed to this dietary practice also as Dad always gives me some on my kibble.

He says it’s good for the gut!

So today he gave Ma and me instructions on how to make the wonder food.

He always makes it fresh at home and insists we must use full fat milk.

Ma and I listened carefully to all his instructions.

We slowly boiled the milk, thawed the seed culture, let the sterilized milk cool and then added the seed to start the process.

It’s been fermenting for nearly 24 hours so we are anxious to see the outcome.

Another lesson learned for the smartest Scooby in the Solar System.

WOW the closing ceremony did not disappoint. So beautiful!

Ma says she won’t forget these games for a moment what with all the action she saw and Ireland placing in the top twenty and of course all those beautiful familiar spots in Paris!

Some people get to go in person others watch from home or, as was her case, hospital. Brings everyone together!

Like lots of ladies she kinda got the hots for that French swimmer Leon Marchand.

Ma says he’s a honey and will be President of France one day. She was thrilled he got the big roll at the closing. Looked almost regal!

Regardless it’s all good sport and we are most grateful that Dads flame is going strong unlike the big balloon that Leon snuffed out.

That oxygen is great! A winner Tom Cruise definitely is on it.

Looking forward to 2028 and LA for the USA

Precious Peeps it’s with Passionate Pitty Pleasure that I report to you my dear readers that I am no longer a down dog!

Grandpa has been discharged and is safely retuned to his usual spot on the sofa.

I am going to focus on gentle stretching exercises for the moment though to allow him some time to settle.

Chasing Scooby around the house will be reinstated once Grandpa is back to screaming at me and detached from the oxygen tube.

For the moment he is just so happy to see me that he has not yet said a single cross word. Imagine that!!!

My sun salutations no doubt have a calming impact on his condition.

Namaste nutters!!

The silver lining to Dad being laid up is that Ma gets to watch the Olympics live from his hospital room rather than be at work.

She says she feels sorry for the person in the room below because her little feet were running for Ireland yesterday morning.

The 4x400m relay heats were epic and the Irish girls got through to the final. A first for country.

Overall team Ireland is currently in 16th place in the medals table which per capita of population must place them close to the top.

It’s all just so exciting and of course I had to watch it all again in the evening.

Precious Peeps it’s Pits Perfect here.

Usually I’m very chipper of a Friday but I’m feeling depressed as Grandpa is not here.

Even though he yells at me when I step on his tootsies or when I play chase or try to chew up shoes or socks he is very generous with the cookies.

Every morning when we come back from our trot he gives me and Grumpy custard creams.

I miss them and I also miss his snuggles as he is my favorite pillow of an evening when we watch TV

I understand he has to stay in hospital till they get to the bottom of his blip on the high road of life but I frankly feel lost without him.

Grumpy is no help because he’s even more upset than me. Just moping around like a big ugly turnip.

We found out yesterday when all the blood results came in that Grandpa has a viral infection not pneumonia as originally suspected. His cardiologist has inspected all his test reports and has proclaimed that his ticker is doing well.

Will y’all please petition the big guy upstairs to get Grandpa released soon.

Thanks!

While the stock market crumbles shares in Milk Bones are soaring.

Ma has been in and out of the house like a yo-yo going to see Dad and as you know each time she exits Milkies are administered.

Now much as I love them I love Dad more and I miss him. Being home alone is no fun.

Good news is he’s making good progress.

He’s got a good appetite and scoffed some brownies from the Bro for breakfast and is bright as a button.

With all the good wishes and especially the fun balloons and snacks from Auntie Lori I’m sure he will Get Well Soon!!
