Wagging Tail-1597

Precious Peeps I bet you cannot believe your luck that I am publishing yet again today.

Of course you are used to my Passionate Posts of a Friday to project you into a fabulous weekend but today is a three in a row deal.

You are receiving this unexpected endowment because the stinking Grey Gizzard is sick.

We are not quite sure what is going on but he stopped eating on Wednesday. He is drinking OK and will eat certain treats and hooman food but no kibble.

He is also hibernating in his “leave me alone or I’ll bite you” spot.

This comes at a bad time as Granny is planning to leave tomorrow to spend some time with Auntie Laura in Georgia so Grandpa and Dad will be in charge.

We didn’t know what was causing the wobbliness but suspected some infection. When Granny found a tick on him she immediately took him to the vet just in case it was Lymes disease.

The vet tested him for Lymes and it was negative. Vet said he seemed to have some soft tissue issue on his right leg. Perhaps from playing rough with me.

So he has to rest and if he’s no better by Saturday my Dad will have to take him back to the doc.

Anyway I’m having a ball ripping around the house all by myself and snorting up in a second all the food he’s not been eating.

Talk about spoiled.

Precious Peeps Pits Perfect here to bring you a second day of Philosophy.

Just when I thought I was the most popular person on the internet I was usurped by a baby.

Not the hooman gurgling kind but a pigmy hippo called Moo Deng.

She was born in a zoo in Thailand and is currently favored above all other mammals because of her chubby cheeks and chunky chops. I think she looks like an alien!

I am treating this as a glitch in the game of life.

There is no way she will stay that cute and cuddly for long.

So I’m sitting back and waiting till she turns into a grown up.

Shouldn’t take long till I’m restored to number one.

Precious Peeps Pits Perfect here to help you scale the hill of hump day.

I’m not in the greatest form myself as I spent yesterday from 8:30am till 4:30pm in my chambers.

That Granny girl was galavanting again.

Went with her “Ladies” to visit another historic home.

Now this may be fun for some but not for me.

However dear Peeps let me give you some sacred Pitty Philosophy. Each day is a new beginning so forget the past and plod on.

Put your precious nose in the air and made the most of every sniff.

Here is a discovery!

Corn starch makes scones fluffier.

See when Ma took to baking yesterday she had a limited amount of flour.

I told her to go easy when she added the milk because the mix might get too sticky but Ma being Ma just fired on and went with her gut.

Of course I was right and the dough was a mess and she’d run out of flour by then.

So she had to resort to invention.

The only available option was good old Argo!

She bunged some in and voila the product look good even shinier than usual.

Now Auntie Marsha will be asked to give her score on the scone this Friday as she is a connoisseur of the confection.

In the mean time Ma is walking around with a gloat that was last seen when Alexander Fleming found that magic mold.

Precious Peeps Pits Perfect here to share some joy with you on this mighty Monday.

I am so laid back today because yesterday Dad took the whole day off and we spent the whole Sunday together.

After my trot with good old Gran my Dad got down to cooking up a breakfast storm. Man the grease is great.

Grandpa and Granny were at church so we laid back and watched the Premier League footie. The stinking Gizz was around but we ignored him and he grumped.

We then popped some corn and picked our paws for a while before heading to the hallowed ground of our chambers.

Granny was feeling affluent when she did the shopping after church so we had a good feed of steak and chips for dinner.

Everyday should be like this but wait if it was maybe it wouldn’t feel quite so wonderful!!

So today is a big day for the Duke of Sussex. Ma says it’s hard to imagine he’s turning 40.

He was such a cute kid and there is no doubt it must have been a terrible loss for him when his lovely Mom died.

Ma was once a big fan of his but she can’t be doing with him now since he gave that interview to Oprah and if that wasn’t bad enough published that SPARE book.

Sometimes when we have quarrels at home the fact that the Royals are also having some tension helps put things in perspective.

What would it take for them to make up and move on? We don’t really know if they ever even speak to each other but it would seem that the passing of the Queen and the illness of the King didn’t make much inroads on reconciliation.

Maybe a birthday party back in Blighty could be the solution.

I’ll be expecting an invite since I am better at this self help thing than Dr Phil!!!

This is absolute truth that will be hard for our Irish friends to handle.

It hasn’t rained here in WEEKS and there is no rain in the ten day forecast either.

It is the worst drought Ohio has had in many years.

The most recent hurricane in the gulf decided it wasn’t coming up as far as Ohio.

You should see our yard.

It’s like straw and one of our big fir trees has died.

We have a sprinkler system but Ma won’t turn it on. Says it’s not good for the environment.

Truth be told she is too cheap to pay the water bill that it would amplify enormously.

I fear that if it doesn’t rain soon we’ll have to reseed the grass in spring.

Thank heaven for sedum in the pots on the patio at least it’s still alive and giving us a bit of color.

Precious Peeps Pits Perfect here to launch you into a lovely weekend.

Did you see those astronauts walking in space yesterday. I was awestruck.

Don’t you think that for their mental health they need to have a canine companion out there.

Now that these new space suits seem to show such promise I’m pretty sure that they could make one for me.

Can you imagine what this might do for the reputation of my breed?

I can see the headlines now “Precocious Pitty Pips Pals to the Post!

Just a shame it’s that stinker Elon who owns the rockets. Granny would never let me go out with him!!!

I watched the first half hour of the debate on Tuesday and decided I’d rather go to bed.

Ma agreed , she said she’d already decided long ago that she’s supporting me.

There will be nothing but TV spots from now till the election with as they say in Ireland each one “cutting the tripe out of each other”.

People in the USA may not know what tripe is so let me explain; it’s the stomach of a cow.

It probably finds its way into pet food but some hoomans like to eat it too when it’s stewed with onions.

It’s a delicacy that Ma has never eaten which is surprising because she eats everything but she said it’s because it looks so wrinkly it would be like eating her own hide.

I’d give it a go and I know the niece would gobble it up like a turkey being fattened but dogs should never be allowed onions so that rules that out.

No arguing about that. Onions are out!!

Precious Peeps what day is it? You got it right it’s hump day.

No doubt for you it is now almost as good as Friday because you get a Pitty Perfect Post.

I am here to propel you over the pinnacle of mediocrity aka as Mercredi (si vous parlez français comme moi!)

It never dawned on me until now that those two words may have the same root. Maybe they don’t.

Maybe they just sorta look similar in the same way the Grey Gizz and I have both got four legs and two ears and are about the same height.

Seen as a shadow we may appear of common origin or as skeletons devoid of tissue we may be indistinguishable but there is a big BUT.

I am adored with a gleaming black glossy coat and sparking eyes whereas he is sparsely coated with a mere tuft of a toupee.

Nothing could be further apart than me and that piece of plankton.

If that wasn’t enough for one morning here is the conclusion to the conundrum.

See you Friday for more fab fun folks.
