Were you struck by the size of the moon these past nights.

Truly gigantic.

Well of course it woke us up. Ma put her arm around me as usual and then realized she’d got her paw covered in FRONTLINE that had be applied to my neck and nether regions by the Bro just before bedtime.

It smells good that potion but since it’s not approved for humans Ma had to get up and wash her paws and of course was then wide awake.

Snuggling was now off limits so we had a little chitty chat about things until I fell asleep and started snoring.

Ma says that snoring is infectious so she got back to sleep too.

On Thursday Ma got a big surprise.

This lovely lady she’d never met showed up at the tearoom bearing a gift of immeasurable beauty.

Jennifer of Sugarplum Fairy Confectionery had baked a cake to symbolize the tearoom.

Each piece was edible!

Ma was dumbfounded but quickly made tea and along with Auntie Paula and Jennifer had a taste of the treats.

What of the centerpiece teapot itself?

Fear not it was a surprise also for Kairos team 55 yesterday who were having the fourth of their six team meetings.

Not a crumb was left! That speaks volumes for the Sugarplum Fairy’s ability and also for the sweet toothed sisterhood.

Precious Peeps it’s Pits Perfect here to sing of the joys of spring.

I am feeling excessively exquisite at present because my coat is shining and lush unlike the Grey Gizzard who looks quite frankly freaky.

He really is like Mr Hyde when he gets his hair hacked.

Goes even more mean and nasty than before.

That’s why I strongly recommend never to buy any sort of “Doodle” stick with Purebred Pitties we never need to be groomed!

We’re born beautiful!!!!!

When I get my haircut I always feel the need to snuggle.

All last night I lay close to Mom as I was feeling chilly. It was way too cold and lonely under the bed.

When you do get cosy it’s so much harder to get up.

You feel so warm and mellow and just want to snooze some more.

But then you nose it FRIDAY and suddenly a little shot of energy hits you and you are good to go.

You know the way I was moaning yesterday about deer and storms and all sorts of pink stuff well sometimes it pays to complain.

No sooner had I emitted the missile than Ma says “Let’s go Scoob”.

I was confused as it was Wednesday and she works Wednesday but I thought maybe I’d got lucky and she was taking me to town.

Well no she wasn’t it was time for the spring trim.

Make that styling!!

I was so beautiful I made it to the internet!!! Couldn’t escape the pink even at the salon!

Ohio weather is not being friendly though. Here I am this morning with freezing temperatures (-6C) and no coat.

Send me a fur please.

Remember it was summer last week well yesterday it was freezing and there were 40mph gales!

Regardless Mom braved the storm and we went for a long walk in the morning and then had a great rest in the afternoon. She is still recovering from Sunday’s stress.

Even though it’s cold today all the spring flowers are blooming and after our siesta we got the bunnies out for Easter. Pink power is prevalent!! Help!!!

The deer are also doing my head in. They love to eat the blossoms on our trees and even if I bark like a basset for hours they continue their acrobatics and totally tuck in.

I suppose all this is the price a puppy pays for long days and warm weather and evening walks to come.

Cillian Murphy may have won the Oscar for Oppenheimer but I’m afraid that movie put me to sleep.

Way too long to concentrate and very very heavy.

I like light of a night.

Which takes me to my point of the day. Social media can make you horribly jealous.

Take this for a kennel if you would.

If my Ma loves me as much as she says she does why don’t I have one of these.

If I choose to lie under her bed rather than snuggle in beside her all I have is carpet.

I don’t have a cosy cottage all to myself with a pillow and mattress.

This will have to be addressed.

Of course it will be when I move to the White House where my Presidents Suite will be all set with my very own four poster.

Well I hope you had a good Saint Patrick’s day because I didn’t.

Ma was up making soup and deviled eggs before dawn for her What the Saint Ate tasting menu at the tearoom and hadn’t even time to take me for a trot.

That was left to the brother who swung me round the yard twice and went home to make his breakfast.

Ma continued to fuss and fluster in the kitchen for the next hour and then took off.

She returned as please as her patrons but exhausted having washed more dishes than most humans use in a month. Tasting menus take a toll on the tableware.

She did bring us some little leftover nibbles but they weren’t nearly enough for the bro so he went and got us all pizza.

Ma ate a slice of it and succumbed to slumber.

So much for corn beef and cabbage. It’s all a myth I suppose!

Dear friends of the Emerald Isle guess what has happened on this Saint Patrick’s Day?

The Irish are including a likeness of me on their new passports!

Is that not an indication of forward thinking.

They must surely realize that when I’m in the White House this could have much economic benefit.

Without doubt I will consider positively their cases on any cause their having given this nod to my significance.

Have a very happy shamrock day!

When the storms rolled in on Thursday night we had no idea how close they’d come to home.

Ohio was badly hit especially a beautiful area called Indian Lake in Logan County. Some people lost their lives and many were injured and lost their homes.

The same storm ripped though Delaware County too where we live and it would seem that a tornado almost took out the Methodist Theological Seminary of Ohio!

Part of our road was closed because of fallen trees so Ma had to drive past the MTSO to get to work and she couldn’t believe how many of the huge trees in the grounds had been uprooted like tooth picks.

You never can tell where tornados touch down.

Best to always do as I do and listen to Dave Mazza on NBC4!
