Here is some Saturday Scooby Sense for you.

The internet is teaming with recipes on how to use up overripe bananas.

You take two or three bananas that cost approximately thirty cents and to this you add a half pound of butter, a pound of “always organic” oats, perhaps a little almond flour if you are a gluten free person two large eggs, the best maple syrup you can source, a half bag of chocolate chips and voila my dears you have banana muffins.

Now THINK!

In order to salvage those two little stinkers you have spent roughly the equivalent of a full box of Fyffes.

Have some wit my dears and smash them up on a piece of toast and share with your favorite companion instead.

Sometimes when I accidentally on purpose injure the PIT I start to worry.

I’m not worrying about her but I’m worrying about what Ma and Dad might think of me and the consequences.

I couldn’t care less if the hound hit the dust but if Ma stopped loving me there may be no more walks and if Dad got cross he might cut out the bologna.

Maybe I should stop keeping the THING in check. It’s impacting my mental health!!

Precious Peeps it’s Pits Perfect here PROTESTING!

That stinker Scooby wounded me again.

I was wondering home with him and Granny when we happened on my beau Remi and his Mom.

His Mom like all other peeps loves me because I’m so adorable.

Anyway she was petting me and giving me a good loving when the Gizzard got Green and pounced on me.

He clean near took my eye out.

I hate him and I know he hates me.

There is no escape for him though as all he did was seen my many and he should be imprisoned!!

Boycott him dear followers and petition the police to arrest him.

Yesterday was “Love Your Pet Day”! Sometimes you have to ask yourself why?

Well maybe if you have a pet like the PIT it’s worth it. Who could possibly love that.

Now if on the other hand you happen to have the fortune to have a fellow like me it is unnecessary.

I am adorable always! ALWAYS

When we went to the park yesterday the sun was splitting the sky but it was oh so cold.

Most of the geese and birds were at the edge of the pond but one dude was making his way stoically across the ice.

Auntie Denise got some great pics of the brave bird.

Ma said it was ironic that this weeks chapter from the Lenten study was about Jesus walking on water.

Henceforth this dude will be called Pete!! He’s got the feet!!!!

Ma says there is an old song that goes “these boots are made for walking” and of course she has to sing it! Mercy.

All this in tribute to her big fur lined ones that have been worn all winter and kept her tootsies dry and warm.

We have walked so much that the lining has been worn away and her heals now touch the plastic.

She had only just put them on yesterday to take me for my first pee of the morning when she took them off again.

Why?

A tiny stone had managed to to get inside and was hurting her.

Isn’t it strange how such a very small thing inside such gigantic boots can be such a pain.

Like the proverbial thorn in the flesh it’s best removed promptly!

Snow sure is pretty but see when the moon shines on it, it sure has a habit of waking you up in the middle of the night.

We were tossing and turning for a while so when we did get back to sleep we didn’t wake up till past seven. Now the sun is up and there is not a cloud in the sky.

During our wide awake moonlit meandering we started to worry about burst pipes at the tearoom.

Was it going to get cold enough for the pipes to freeze? Well it is frigid.

So the outcome is that Ma talked to Dad just now and they are going to come get me after church and go up to the ancient barrack.

So I am happy and I know that Ma will able to sleep better tonight if she gets to leave her taps dripping and is not concerned about floods.

Ma had a great birthday yesterday! I loved her lots and she got cards and presents and was all happy and smiley.

Add to that the gift from above of 12 deer in the yard when we went for our trot and then snow in abundance that showed off our little residual Christmas lights and she was well pleased. Loves snow does Ma!

She said that it’s hard to believe that she is 64.

Seems many year ago when the famous Beetles song was released people who were 64 seemed very ancient.

Now they seem youngish!

Maybe people do doggy division when they are “maturing”. She’d only be 9 in dog years!

That may be taking things to the extreme.

She says apart from the extra pounds, the odd creakiness when she gets up of a morning and the hearing loss in her right ear induced by dogs barking in it on roadtrips she feels about 24.

Now having said that she is neglecting the fact that she’d best not look in the mirror with her specs on but don’t tell her I said that.

Precious Peeps it’s Pits Perfect here to give you a giggle.

Do you ever have funny dreams that materialize?

Sometimes I see so much of the Grey Gizzard that I dream I’m morphing into him.

Well guess what? The dog pound close to Granny’s work has found the exact replica of my dream!

It’s a guy called Wally! The name sorta suits him but I must admit he is kinda cute.

Up for adoption should you be local and certainly much sweeter than the Gizz as no one could be that nasty!

Oh so sorry to be so tardy. We slept in!

One of those deals where Casey Jones woke us at 5:00 and then we rolled over and next thing you know it was 7:00 and then it’s trash day so we had to rush to get that done and wouldn’t you know the trash people came early so we were huffing and puffing and just about made it to meet auntie Denise.

WHEW!

When we came home Ma started to get plates and cups and napkins and cutlery ready for her Lily Circle tonight and then she got to consolidating all the mounds of such material that we have in our garage for parties and almost two hours later she has time to type for me.

Anyway there is nothing that makes her happier than putting order among our chaos!

Except perhaps tulips!!!
