Booming Banter

Can you imagine I’ve been on the Banter for a THOUSAND DAYS! Takes you way back to May 2020 if you need help with your sums.

When I look back to that point in time I was no more than a kid. Still smart but innocent.

As I turn this milestone of a page I can reflect on many adventures and different looks. Through it all I’ve always been myself!

I helped Ma walk her way through a pandemic, helped Dad recover from bouts of illness, started our business, seen the bro change jobs about ten times and of course been mentor to a mighty mad dog.

I’ve endured it all with strength of character and courage and on most occasions have retained composure.

Some Queens spent just this exact amount of time on the throne of England and they made movies about them.

Another good reason for me to be recognized, appreciated and elected to high office is this STAMINA!

Forward then dear followers let us make the next thousand days the most meaningful!

Blessing #1601-Mille Moments

It’s hard for me, as I’m so modest, to project my many characteristics that equip me so well for high office but they include

Enduring flexibility and creativity

Encouragement of all but especially the young to be adventurous

Compassion for those of weaker intellect capacity

Alignment with those whose values are rooted in tradition and the arts

Non discriminating, honest and just!

There that should secure me a little additional funding from the food sector. Now I must seek sponsorship elsewhere.

Blessing#1600-Foodies Fix

The semifinals for the Super Bowl were on last night. Our Bengals almost made it but a field goal at the last minute meant Kansas City went through and will play against Philly. Not sure who well root for yet!

I was asking the bro if I might get a TV spot for my campaign

He says they are $7 million for thirty seconds so I may have to forgo and focus on social media for now.

For most people bologna is a lunchtime go to so I’m seeking breakfast endorsements too.

Maybe donuts.

I’ve been working on my strategy and have reached the conclusion I need sponsors. Campaigns are costly and competitors for the Oval Office claim to have billions.

Pet food manufacturers would be too obvious and too polarizing.

That’s why I’m homing in on bologna.

My competitors may be metaphorically full of it but for me this is literal the case.

I eat this delight daily so I plan to seek sponsorship from this source.

We need a jingle along the lines of « a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down ».

What about « a bit of bologna bodes better than babble. »

Shows I’m a down to earth sort. Traditional values no oysters or fancy food for me.

Granny and the Gizz lost count again and no one noticed except me. So I had to get things sorted and back in check.

She’s as old as a mammoth. Without doubt in need of some serious therapy alternative or otherwise.

She is perennially grumpy too.

No wonder she gets on so we’ll with the old grey Scoobal.

He really thinks he has a chance of making a move to the top.

Hah! To appeal to the younger gens like me he better stop hanging out with old ladies and make a move on the hot chicks.

A little gifting around the 14th Feb just might make me rethink.

Blessing#1597-Taking PITTY

I’m kept excessively busy guarding the ranch and taking care of Dad. I won’t even mention demonic disciplining duties.

It’s important to stay on top of technology as it can save you time but on occasions can induce some stress.

I try to give lessons to the Spawn of Satan but she doesn’t focus or even often listen.

One of these days I will be richly rewarded for my efforts.

In the meantime I’ll continue with the communication campaign that I am class and running for office. Ah you thought that was in the past. Oh no I was strategizing!!!

What a crazy lazy day we had yesterday.

Granny didn’t need much persuasion to stay home.

We just did nothing. Well nearly nothing.

We hung out together.

Chewed a little

Watched TV. That Family Guy is so funny.

Baked a Berry Bundt

Ate it, had a snooze and then had the pizza that Dad brought home the night before.

We could have done so much like the housework that never gets tackled but I’m so glad I told Granny « just veg »

Blessing#1594-Home Bodies

We just woke up and already we have a dilemma to deal with.

Will we or won’t we work?

A Level 2 snow emergency has been issued for our area which means don’t go on the roads unless you absolutely have to.

However the forecast says the snow is turning to rain by 10:00 so it will just be a wet mess of a drive if Ma were to leave then.

There are no reservations today so I’m leaning towards convincing her to stay home and snuggle. Who in their right mind is going to pop in for tea in a day like this!

Blessing#1593-Any Excuse

Everyone who has a human knows what it’s like when they go out at night and leave you at home.

You wait and wait and wait and wonder and wonder and wonder will they come back soon. You listen for the car and the garage door opening and then you wait some more. Soon it’s time to check out the bedroom just in case they sneaked in a different door. No they didn’t so back to lookout position number one.

Well here’s the thing guess what?

See our deer well they have started to do this too.

They camp outside our garage and wait for our humans to come home. Ma had her phone handy so she got a clear pic of them last night. Posers.

Maybe it’s because that Memorial one was born in our yard. I’m a bit miffed about all this but Ma says not to worry they are no competition for me. I’m her one and only.

It’s all very exhausting especially this competition. I just fade as soon as Ma hangs up the car keys and sits down.
