Precious Peeps it’s Pits. I know how horrible hump day can be so I’m here to hug y’all.

Yesterday both Dad and Granny had a day off. It is always fab when they are both around.

Here’s how it goes. Sleep, eat, walk, snuggle, bake, snooze, eat, walk, cook dinner, snack, play, relax.

That Peeps is the formula for deep happiness.

So even if it’s Wednesday remember you can still do all this the only thing you need to insert is work.

It’s just a matter of closing your eyes to anything or anyone that might annoy you!

Blessing#1685-Tuesdays

When Ma worked in R&D they did a lot on safety. They needed to have “working at height permits” for anything above four feet.

Well yesterday was a day for permits because they started on the roof.

In fact they started before the inspector from the insurance got there which may go down like a lump of lead.

What can you do but grin and bear it and fork out the cash!

While I may on occasion look like a sherpas sheep the highest I usually get is my throne which is quite enough to keep trouble in check.

Some kitty though is making the rounds on Facebook for scaling the pet equivalent of Everest. That feline would frighten the life out of me.

I’ll stick to sofas.

Peeps it’s your Princess. I know I know I know you missed me so!!!

I have been increasing my intake of fiber.

This new grass is so sweet.

No wonder the bunnies love it.

Now of course it would be a more balanced diet if I could supplement the greens with a little meat but granny has me tethered to the stinky old Gizz.

That bunny sure looks tasty

Thanks though to my intake of new mown hay I uncovered treasure.

While I was finalizing the digestive process I found a little ring in our yard.

Too small for my nose or ear.

Looks very sparkly thought.

Very definitely the property of another very beautiful Princess

We put it on the front porch by the little doggy so should you own it come and get it.

Blessing#1683-Diamonds for Ever

Yesterday was Earth Day. Hope you all made a contribution to keeping our planet pristine. Plant for the future my friends!

We have to act on global warming it’s effects are scary especially all the wild weather.

Poor old Ma got caught in a storm on Friday evening that frightened the life out of her. Trees down, flash flood, rain and hail so hard she couldn’t see beyond her nose.

Yet at home just two miles down the road we only had a drizzle.

Crazy climate!

Definitely I’ll be implementing policy to recycle, upcycle and heck even bicycle!!!

Blessing#1682-Upping Ozone

I’m becoming increasingly sensitive to the issues our citizens encounter each day.

Inflation is a big buzz word but what it means to your average household is that they are being driven back to basics.

Instead of bacon and eggs for breakfast it is now bread and jam.

Now at the risk of being compared to Marie Antoinette I’d say it’s quite tasty especially if your Ma baked it herself.

Of course that won’t be any solace for those who haven’t a crust.

So I’m devoting myself to fight the good fight and bring back the scramble.

Blessing#1681-Egg Dog

The thing has taken to ballet.

Stands on her hind legs and uses the sofa like a bar.

I am sick to the back of my teeth listening to her one two three, one two three, one two three!

How the heck did she get into this. Do all girls have a love of tutus?

For goodness sake get her something to shred.

I can get no sleep!

Blessing#1680-Dancing

In the hope of attracting the younger yogis I’m issuing a few poses to show I’m a guru.

It’s important for the financing of my campaign that I get this body of the electorate on board.

They have considerable disposable income and love to be seen to be together and in touch with their spiritual side.

Who better to follow than me.

I’m so very very very flexible!

Blessing#1679-Zen

Cousin Krishna is a pathologist so he spends a lot of time looking at tissue samples under the microscope.

He’s also very funny.

Keeps Ma laughing even under the worst of circumstances.

So we were inspired on our way to the beleaguered building to reverse the camera.

Once the contract for the roofer was signed and he had the tarp on we took some more.

Step one done. We can smile again! I’ll be back to campaigning tomorrow or maybe the next day now that Ma is stabilized!

Blessing#1678-Selfies

We are doing our best to keep Ma entertained playing dodge the daffodils.

Jaws is quite good at it. Wish she’d eat one and die!!! Jaws that is not Ma!!!!

Don’t tell anyone but Ma is down in the dumps. We are lighting candles for her.

A new roof is needed and it’s going to be big bucks. More than Ma made all last year.

She has to fix it. There is no other option.

She has insurance but there is a deductible and making a claim means the premium will go through the roof. Oh that was seriously a really bad pun!

Blessing#1677-Working on One!

We slept better last night. It was cooler, both the external temperature and the heat from the sunburn had gone south. Add to this that there is only so much anxiety you can accumulate and we were all set.

I got up beside Ma and gave her my very best weighted blanket effect and she slumbered soundly.

She just had a happy dream too. Here’s how it went.

She and Auntie Carol and me were shopping in a little seaside village and buying a picture for Dad in an antique store. All the art was arranged together like patchwork.

The lady who sold the piece knew Ma had a treasure store in the same town and knew Ma was looking at her display and planning to copy it. She pretended she didn’t know though and took her $10.

Funny the way in dreams everyone can read each others mind. They all nose you know!!!!

Now we have awakened to a gale again. So what is left of the roof is probably in the parking lot at the store.

Onwards and upwards though. We have scones to bake and lots to think about on how to copy that art display!!!!!

I may snooze some more as I have catching up to do.
