Tad late on the Banter today. We didn’t get to bed until way past our usual time because Ma had to finish her latest “PROJECT”.

I am seriously concerned for her wellbeing

See she has started to crochet clothes for teapots.

Says they are very traditional and are called a COSY!!! Great fit for the tearoom!!!!

Heaven help me as she has a lot of wool left!

We had such a nail biting game last night between the Detroit Lions and the San Francisco 49ers.

Detroit were 17 ahead after the first half but the 49ers came back to win by just a few points.

We were roaring for the Lions as they’re on our doorstep and as well have never made it to the superbowl.

All the excitement meant Ma got her sweater finished.

It’s far from perfect!

The collar lies too low so needs a few extra rows and the arms would suit an orangutan so she’s debating whether to rip some off. That might be frustrating unpicking things so she may just roll them up.

Anyway I inspected things and still gave her a star for meeting her goal. You’ve got to encourage her. She’s a feeble minded soul.

I do my best to educate the niece but it’s an uphill battle.

She’d eat anything including soft furnishings, Lego, liver and onions heck she’d even eat lead.

Each morning I explain in my most patient voice that if she’d turn her nose up at the kibble like me she’d get tasty morsels to tempt her.

Alas no! She head dives into it and clears the whole bowl in seconds.

Another good reason not to bring her to the White House when I’m elected. She’d never survive a state banquet!

Poor Auntie Denise almost had a seizure!

She saw a post on our local county Facebook page about a dog that was found running loose half way between our home and where Ma works.

It looked so like me as you can see that she thought maybe I’d chased Ma’s car for some additional much needed exercise.

Now I’m fit as a fiddle as you know so ten miles would not be hard for me.

It’s maybe worth considering! Anything to rid myself of the PIT!

Should any locals be interested my Doppelgänger has not been claimed as yet so should be available for adoption.

Wonder would they trade him for a Princess?

Precious Peeps it’s Pits Perfect here to get your weekend off to a wonderful start.

Ignore any nonsense that you hear from the Grey Gizzard about my perfume. It is branded Pure Pitty and Dior has yet to discover its top notes.

I share it with anyone who wishes to snuggle up with me but enough of that on to philosophy!

You must never lets your light be dimmed by dumbness.

Those you cannot see the benefits of squirrel hunting or bird chasing simple lack soul.

Ignore them and plod on regardless.

Get out and shout and shake and sing this weekend. Don’t be dampened by drizzle.

Ma is of a very philosophical nature.

When it pours all day she always says to me « fear not Scoob it’s a free car wash day »

It better be free because she’s making no money at the tearoom. Who’d go out in this?

As I’m part poodle my coat goes curly when it gets wet so currently I look like I’ve had a perm.

Ma says it’s like going to the groomers only less stressful.

I concur.

The niece has virtually no hair at all so she just gets soaked.

Mind you any sort of bath is good for her as she’s such a stinker.

The rain is back and the snow has gone.

It’s not nearly as bright and beautiful but it sure feels balmy to be above freezing.

Ma says she smells spring and it’s not just the temperature there are other signs

The Chinese New Year decor is up and we are planning for the year of the dragon which is the brothers sign.

Ma has also marked her calendar for the first rummage sale of the year.

Nothing like a good treasure hunt to shake off the winter cobwebs

Precious Peeps its Pits Perfect.

Yesterday Granny said we were all going to vegetate.

After a long walk to the park we bag an binge watching « HOMES UNDER THE HAMMER ».

This is a BBC production about people buying houses at auction and transforming them into beautiful homes.

Granny has illusions that we too could be flippers. The stinking Grey Gizz pretends he’s watching too and entices her fantasy!

This program is in part responsible for the hot water we got in that is now the tearoom.

Well as DIY shows go it’s not that boring but after watching for six hours I was comatose.

Please be with me in prayer that today she will not push continue!

Auntie Lorraine is a great knitter.

In addition to about six other layers Ma was wearing one of her most precious items of clothing yesterday, Lorraine’s hand knit socks.

They are made with very fine two ply wool.

Ironically as she’d just taken off her boots and put her feet up and we were admiring the socks who should text but Lorraine.

The gals had a back and forth chitty chat for a while and reached the conclusion that they miss discos and that warm feet are the key to survival in this cold.

This fact I believe is a key to evolution. See if apes got rid of their furry feet during the process of transforming into Homo Sapiens they must have been in a warm climate where sock were not needed.

Either that or they were fans of John Travolta

Frigid temperatures and enough snow for sledding did not deter the fun at the tearoom yesterday!

Murder was committed.

The victim none other than my brother.

Who did it?

The President or Mrs Harding?

The President Mistress Nan Britton who was also there or her flapper boutique owning friend Paula Pearl?

Edward McClean the editor of the Washington post or his wife Martha perhaps?

Or was it Sally Swing or Cookie Baker?

Ah see you cannot guess that’s why you need a Scooby Doo to reveal it was Miss Betsy Booth.

She’s the one in the fur looking innocently as an angel.
