Wagging Tail-2165

Just when I thought we’d escaped the scent of that Lily of the Valley what do you know but something just as powerful has invaded my space.

This time it’s not delicate little blooms but great big pink fluff balls of flowers called peonies!

Ma is ecstatic because this is one of those things that has popped up unexpectedly in this ramshackled new yard of ours.

It goes to show she says that at sometime in the past someone loved and cared for this place just like we plan to do.

We’ve also discovered up against the back fence that there is an azalea bush. It’s also pink and is very scrawny but just as soon as it’s over blooming we’re going to give it a snip to help it get stronger.

We’ve also got some zebra grass to plant. Ma snagged it at a yard sale yesterday. She got literally a basin full of plants for $4 so you can’t be bad to that. We’re putting it in strategic empty spaces so it can spread including in a bed that bare apart from a fern and two little hostas.

At least it won’t smell!
