You may be lying in bed like me listening to the rain and knowing your morning trot is unlikely. You may be miffed but here’s a thing I learned from my uncle Jim the farmer. There is more to life than trotting.

The poor farmers can’t get their seed in. The fields are so water logged the soy beans can’t be planted. They only have a couple more weeks left in the calendar to get them in. So trotting is not such a big deal.
Here’s the other thing I learned though. This wet weather is producing beautiful winter wheat. It’s looking so lush and healthy and should be a bumper crop.
So that just goes to show that in this life there are always ups with downs.
That is why I am having another shut eye.
