Last night we were watching the fireflies and we got to thinking.

Why do they not appear in any famous literature. Wouldn’t you think that they’d fit right in a romance from Jane Austen or a thriller from Agatha Christie or a horror of Stephen King.
If you know of any honorable mentions give a shout out.
They are such incredible critters. We were wondering did ancient people see them and it gave rise to the idea of fairies.
Maybe Tinker-bell once was one.
Just image for a moment you’re a cave man and you are lying under your animal skin and all of a sudden these little lights are popping up all around. What would you think? Is the air on fire? Are pieces of the sun slipping down to earth? You’d be a little taken aback we think!
Why are they not in ancient texts like the bible? Or maybe they are. Anyone for angels?
Blessing#2816-Light Bodies

My kids in CA, and formerly in WA report there are no fireflies -or as I called them: lightening bugs – out there. Sad, but true. We are lucky to have them twinkling in our evenings.
Hoping to see you tomorrow at our TMG picnic (at the church)
