Precious Peeps it’s Pits here to wing you into a wonderful weekend.

Did you have a good Christmas. I enjoyed lots of time with Dad as he was off work.

We went for a good trot in the morning exploring another part of our new neighborhood. It’s very different from where we lived before. The houses are much smaller but there’s still plenty if trees to pee on.

When we got back we watched A CHRISTMAS CAROL it’s a bit scary so I got up on the couch beside Grandpa to be sure I was safe.

Granny cooked for hours and then ate a huge lunch and fell asleep. I thought she was never going to wake up. She must really need some catch up.

This mornings Dad left at 6:15 as he’s on the early shift so I’m waiting for the old gal and the Gizz to get up so I can get out and get going.

I hope you have fun plans for the weekend. We are tackling book mountain. As it’s as high as Everest I don’t anticipate we will squeeze in much more but Granny has promised she’ll take me and the Gizz with her tomorrow to pack up more tomes at the old house.

Dad has promised me that Granny wouldn’t mind one bit if I shredded a few but Grandpa might get mad and he comes in handy when there are spooky Scrooges around.

Blessing#2632-Dickensian

We just had the best sleep we’ve had in ages.

Everyone else is up except us. Must have been all the singing we did last night!!!!

We can hear the others but we’re tightly snuggled up and I have to get my secretary to get this banter out before we move a muscle.

I trust that all of you are equally well rested and ready for some riotous rituals.

I’m not short on sentiment as some would suggest. There is nothing grumpy about this Gizz!

Have a wonderful Christmas and be sure to get the Carols up loud so you can howl away like the heavenly throng.

Blessing#2631-Merry Making

Blessing#2631-Merry Making

Precious Peeps it’s me the PERFECT one here to heave you over this extra special humpty.

We are up VERY early as Granny wants a little peace before she climbs clothes mountain 2.0.

Once we have cleared the path to the kitchen we are going to make coffee and take a trot and then tackle the trifle and mince pies.

We have so much food in the fridge that I feel even my bottomless PIT (sorry!) might be filled.

Tonight we are having shrimp followed by sausage rolls as they are Dad’s favorite yum yum. It’s an odd combo meal but trust me it will all slip down nicely.

Do you love Christmas Eve as much as me? I always get so excited. It’s all the buzz and smells and snacks and SANTA.

Do you track his progress? He is so smart and so fast and so secretive. I’d love to meet him and give him a great big lick but I guess I’ll just have to settle for a smacker with Dad when he gets in from the night shift.

Well must DASH now like a reindeer and run run like RUDOLF to get all this work done.

Y’all have fun today and I’ll talk to you on festive Friday.

Blessing#2630-Holy Night

You will not believe this but after weeks we got a decent walk. The Bro came along as Ma was a bit concerned we might misbehave in our new neighborhood. We didn’t!

When we came back Ma and the Bro went for another haul from the old house and then the unpacking and putting away began on their return.

So it was with excessive joy that when Ma looked at the clock and found it was only 2:30 and all was done and dusted and wait for it WE COULD HAVE A NAP!!!

We could have made another trip back to the old house and worked some more but we just didn’t.

When we got up two hours later we watched clips from the final of Strictly Come Dancing and then the new animated version of THE GRINCH.

We hadn’t seen it before. Man it is so good. I love that dog.

It’s so Christmasy. I am happy again.!

Blessing#2628-Heartened

Ma made two trips to the old house yesterday. I got to go with on the second as her sanity was slipping and she needed my very best TLC.

Dad’s closet is now officially empty and one third of Ma’s made its way to the bedroom floor of the new ranch.

As she was exhausted and had to make real food dinner as there is only so much take away a human can eat the clothes mountain remained untouched and we climbed over it to get to bed.

So when we had our usual nocturnal awakening Ma said “to pot with this Scoob I’m not lying hear listening to Casey tooting I’m going to get these clothes put always”

I did not move just I case she’d put me on a hanger and arrange me with the grey sweaters.

Triumphantly some ninety minutes later she got the job done and climbed back into bed.

Now this is why we then slept like logs till six.

Blessing#2628-Night Shift

I couldn’t believe my ears yesterday morning when Ma said “Heh Scoob you want to go car”

Just her and me. No Dad no Bro and no nasty niece.

The Bro had worked night shift so he’d just returned and taken the niece to their new chamber.

Dad was unwrapping more junk in the kitchen and was more or less buried in it.

So it was just the Ma and me.

We went to our old house that is so strange now. There are the book mountains and clothes and ornament and things in kitchen and bathroom cupboards but nothing else.

Ma Said our goal for today was to empty the master bathroom and take all the small area rugs and as many ornaments and cushions and coats as we could squeeze into ARETHA along with old duvets and towels and bath mats and such that had all been slung in trash bags.

We achieved our task in 90 minutes and I had to sit on top of a pile of coats on the front seat as there was not an inch in the back left for a mouse let alone a mighty like me.

We went to McDonald’s and had a Happy Meal and then headed to the canine collective where I came from to drop of the bags of towels and bedding for the rescue pups.

After that Ma called the Christmas tree farm from the car. “Yes they still had a few tress” but we’re closing at 3:00.

She then called the Bro to inform him he should be ready in 40 minutes to empty to car at break neck speed.

When we got back to the new ranch it was literally like a pit stop.

I was turfed into the kitchen with Dad, Ma gave a few orders and then she and the Bro took off.

When they returned all the attention was turned to the tree not me! Oh well Santa can come now I suppose. just as long as Naughty Nala doesn’t get in his way!!!

Blessing#2627-Illuminated

Ma put my leash on yesterday morning and took me out for a trot but it was so stinking cold we had to turn back as soon as I did my business.

It’s like the North Pole here but we’re not expecting it to stay like this for Christmas.

I know Santa will be coming to our new house because we posted him a special message. I fancy something very fine for my present like filet steak but I think Ma is insisting on turkey.

The Bro and me aren’t fans of the big bird so Ma may get us a ham as well.

Ma says that she doesn’t feel like it’s Christmas unless she smells and sees the turkey so we have one thawing in the new fridge.

In the UK and Ireland it’s traditional but they don’t have thanksgiving so they haven’t just had one.

Oh well I’ll go along with her wishes and I’ll hope it’s not so cold tomorrow so I can get a decent walk!

Blessing#2626-Thawing Things

Precious Peeps it’s me the PERFECT one here to wing you into a wonderful weekend.

We are settling into our new ranch and Granny is stopping work today until after Nee Year so she can get all the ducks in a row. She collected ducks for a while so we have a lot of them!!!

I am praying she will take to trotting again as this past week she has hardly walked the length of herself.

It’s all very well and good having a fenced in backyard but I need more than a romp around the frozen pool to keep me looking sweet and svelte.

I also need to post messages in our new geography so handsome hounds can come calling.

I’m not going to upset the old gal too much or she might tell Santa but I do hope she’ll get back to our regular routine soon.

I will be talking to you on a very special humpty next week. In the meantime be just like me PRECIOUS!!

Blessing#2625-Countdown to Christmas

I got all confused yesterday with the days of the week and posted my post when it was the nieces Humpty day.

This happens to the best of us around the holidays. You don’t know if you’re coming or going and days start to feel like weeks. It’s worse when you just moved because everything is topsy turvy!

Anyway today i know is Thursday because Ma checked so to make up for my mistake here’s my photo taken this instant from my new chamber.

As you can see I am comfy and relaxed and doing my duty keeping Ma cosy.
