Did you think I’d died?

Chance would be a fine thing!!

What a day!!!

Jaws and I have been for our trial run at the spa!!!!

Ma and the bro dropped us off at 9:30 and took off. They stuck around town for 90 minutes just incase things didn’t go good and then they took off for Indian lake.

Five hours later having feasted at Woodys and taken the long way back via the wind farms they returned to find we had passed the test.

We had such fun.

We were outside all day running around with other pups.

We were so happy.

So too were our parents. It was like we’d passed our exams and got into college all in one day.

Cousin Krishna sent us a little ditty that we read just now when we woke up. Got us thinking about our life.

It’s true plants have a relatively easy time just sitting in the sun doing their thing.

But imagine if you couldn’t have a trot or eat snacks.

There would be no point in shaking yourself of a morning and giving yourself or your dependents a face wash.

Worse still you couldn’t go car and find treasures or look them up on eBay and find they’re worth 100 times more than you paid for them and get that Antique Roadshow buzz.

Oh no I very definitely want to be a dog next time around

We’re in a terrible rush this morning.

Ma is doing her Kairos Team formation again this is week. Four of six meeting done!! Once training is completed the team will be going for the planned weekend at the Ohio Reformatory for Women from October 6-9.

Kairos means Gods time.

Ma loves it.

She also loves when numbers roll around to a significant milestone and you have the camera at hand to capture them because it happens just as you hit the lights.

This is the highest number we’ve ever had on a vehicle.

Now we are committed to keeping on counting we’re going for 200000!!

Let’s hope we make it too! It will be a mix of chronos with kairos!!!

While I wait for her return I’m off to dream of some exercise!!

As it says on the screen AN ANSWER TO PRAYER

Full recovery in place for the monster. Driving Dad demented ripping up rugs and towels and toys.

She must have an empty tummy.

Tucked right into one of the bro’s old souvenirs he’d won at a fun fair.

She’s a fast worker too took her about ten minutes to shred it.

Maybe we should get her a job in waste disposal.

She’s currently working on cleaning the chair. Loves the leather.

See how methodical she is at the job. Wonder would those people who cleaned the carpet find a use for her?

She could go to work each morning and come back at night and pay for snacks. I’ll have a word with her

Hi Pit Peeps hope you are feeling perky because I’m not.

What trauma I have endured these past days. That tummy trouble then the trip in the trunk and now this horrible prick in my precious pretty person. It hurt me so!!!

It also made me a little sluggish and shaky and so sleepy and sad. Not my usual pretty precious persona.

Last night I stayed close to my Dad. He is so loving and caring and I was holding on to Granny’s apron strings a little tighter than normal. She’s not a bad old gal especially when she knows I’m not myself.

Even the Gizz was good and watched over me.

Tomorrow I’ll be back to usual and I’ll grab him by the throat to show him we can play.

So you’ve probably been wondering where we went yesterday. You won’t believe this. The Addams Family Granny is smarter than my Mom!

The plan was Morticia and me would spend a half day at doggy day care to see if we qualify for boarding in October at the Spa! You need to be refined to go to the Spa! No bad behavior! Might rule out Mort!

The bro and Ma had all the paperwork with them to show our vaccination records.

Problem is Ma didn’t look past the first page of Morticia’s file. The PITs rabies was valid but her other vaccines expired last week!

So result is they couldn’t let her in. I could have stayed as I’m smart and all shot up like Itt but Ma wouldn’t leave me without the PIT.

So home we came. All the way the bro was on the phone negotiating with the vet tech to get an earlier appointment for the beast. He’s very persuasive my bro. Charming just like Gomez. He got an appointment for tomorrow at 4:30. Maybe he’ll take her flowers!

We found Dad with a face like Fester surrounded by carpet cleaners who had arrived to clean in our absence.

Result. Jaws got locked up in the bros room and I was left in the screened porch to stew. It was then that Ma got a call that she’d left her card at the dog spa. It’s forty minutes away!!!!

So off the Bro and Ma went leaving me still on the porch and Dad still surrounded by carpet cleaners.

Worst of all they stopped for lunch on the way home again and didn’t bring me a scrap.

We’re now rescheduled for our test run on Monday. This is set to be a soap opera!!!!

In the meantime Mort and I have agreed we need team work to return this carpet to its usual doggy perfume. Currently it smells like Channel! Simply Monstrous to me!!!

My nose tells me that there is something strange going on.

We got a very short shift around the circle this morning and we had no time for chat.

Why the hurry? It’s a beautiful long shadow day!

The bro is off and so is Ma so there is no rush for work.

Ma keeps saying « you must be good »

How can anyone doubt that I’m good. Just look at that face! Don’t I look like the picture of innocence.

Wait! What is this

We’ve just been packed into the car!

I can’t believe it were off!

Have you heard of the movie Home Alone well that was me yesterday. At first it was fun until it got scary!

I’m the chief lookout and guard around here and I got busy early. I alerted Ma just after dawn that Memorial and her Mom were back dining in our yard.

She took pics but they are not great. The kid is getting big but she still has her baby spots.

Memorial’s Mom is letting her get a bit further away from her now but when she hears me she swiftly shortens the distance.

After our trot Dad and Ma took off around nine. The bro had already gone to work and Jaws was put in her crate to slumber.

I get a giant milk bone when they leave so after enjoying that I hung out and had a nice nap.

I scared away a few squirrels barked at bikers and let any passer by know I was present. You can’t be careful enough these days!

By now it was midday. I was feeling bored so I went to bed for an hour then did a tour of the ranch checked each window and then I saw it.

As the clock stuck two far far in the west black skies were brewing.

Where the heck were the parents.

Had they been sucked into a storm cloud.

Would they ever come home

I stuck my nose to the front window watching for their car.

Maybe they would come soon.

Maybe they were in a ditch somewhere. This storm looked bad

It was too sad. Would the bro care for me. Maybe Auntie Denise will adopt me maybe I can go to Marsha’s farm where there are double rainbows. Think good thoughts I told myself.

At two thirty the lightening started and the thunder came so quick the storm was overhead. The trees were blowing. I was lost.

That’s when I hear it. The garage door was opening they were safe and they were home.

I shook off by panic and put on my bravest face and sat behind the kitchen door to the garage like nothing happened at all.

PITS here dear Peeps. I’m not feeling so pretty at present.

I’ve had a dodgy tummy for the past two days. Not sure what I ate!! Must have been a tad past it’s sell by date!

Granny knew something was up on Friday morning when I went to the garage door leaving a few kibble still in my bowl. To say I was in a hurry would be an understatement.

Yesterday we were up very early and this time I went for the emergency exit even before eating. Dad was on his way out to work so he got the message and got me out.

He left Granny to take care of my production as he had to open up the shop.

His parting words to her were « well at least she didn’t do it inside »

He’s my hero my Dad.

Defends me at ever opportunity.

I took things easy for the rest of the day and the Gizz was good to me for once. Put on his concerned and compassionate canine pose.

Getting this off my chest and out of my system has helped. You must always share your woes!

I’m ready for a good nosh up now so I’ll leave you with my deepest love!

Sometimes I feel Jaws and me are becoming like an old married couple.

We spend most of our free time together.

We get in each others way.

Sometimes we fight.

Most often though she talks I listen and we just hang out and eat or sleep or watch TV.

If we get really adventurous we go for a car ride.

That makes us extra specially happy.
