Wagging Tail-2226

Ma likes to stay connected to “home”. For those of you who don’t know that’s Northern Ireland. Until recently she listened to a radio station called U105 that was mostly pop music and chat. That got cut off from streaming in our area some months ago.

We found BBC Radio Ulster as an alternative and this has been a great discovery as it has lots of variety.

When we wake up we listen to the news and current affairs program for a little while before we plunge into the day.

After that when we’re having our brekkie we listen to Hugo. He’s an older guy who plays tunes from the sixties and seventies and a lot of country music. He talks a lot and makes us laugh.

On the way to work it’s time for some pop with Conor. He is youthful and chatty and gives us a boost.

There is a gap while Ma’s at the tearoom but now when she gets home we switch on again and listen to the mellow music of the night on the deck.

Sundays are especially good if you have a long drive because they also through in gardening and opera and religious programming.

All this to say that sometimes when something stops something better starts or as the old adage goes “when one door closes another one opens” and it turns out to be for the best.
