You know we are never short of a bit of high drama well here’s the latest.
Ma left work yesterday to go out to Uncle Jim and Auntie Marsha’s farm as they were having a family get together.
The route takes her past our house but as she was driving she heard a dull sound and thought she’d left something in the trunk. She was going slow as it’s a 35mph zone and when she went to make a turn she discovered her brakes weren’t working. Yikes.
So of course she couldn’t go on to the farm that was miles off but she made it the half mile to our door.
When the Bro got in from work he saw there was something hanging down under her car. It was the brake caliper he said and there was fluid on the ground by her car.
Ma had had new brakes fitted front and rear less than two weeks earlier so something is not right here but that will get fixed.
Now here’s the thing this happened almost at our door but it could have happened in a neighborhood with children playing, or on a highway when she was going fast, or out on one of the remote country roads to the farm or at a major junction on a main road.
The possibilities are endless. Ma says she feels sure her guardian angel aka as Dad was watching over her.
