Passionate Peeps it’s PITS and I know you are all keen to have some wisdom from me because all the Gizz garbles is gobbledygook.

My head and hence my brain capacity far exceeds his single cell.

So dear public be brave. Drop him like a hot potato.

Toss off all that is of no value in your lives.

Abandon angst in favor of fun.

Nosh into every Nyla that comes your way.

Sip on something smooth and sweet and then sleep if you must but not for long.

Life is too lively and way too lovely to waste on slumber parties unless of course some hunk is attending.

Have you noticed on websites and peoples pages that everyone looks smiley and sweet.

That’s not real. Alpacas spit!

The thing that everyone does most is not smile but sleep.

Why don’t we show that?

Maybe shut eye isn’t interesting.

If you don’t get it right though you can be a grumpy old gizzard.

Insomnia induces incidents!

That’s why I’m putting sleep high on the National and International agenda.

End aggression now! Bring out the lettuce Ben!

Should get me a few votes from the farmers too. Doesn’t need to be organic. That’s too polarizing for my base!

Such shocking news from the UK this morning. The lovely and oh so funny Paul O’Grady has died suddenly.

He was such a great comedian but also a tieless campaigner for animal charities.

Alongside the Queen he made his last TV show “For the Love of Dogs” all about the famous Battersea Dogs Home. That’s where the Queen got her two Jack Russels

We are both so sad.

May he rest in peace over the rainbow bridge with all the pooches and Queens who have gone before

Have you noticed when you Google something your Facebook feed is inundated with (&@? for days to come about peripheral subjects. So annoying.

So it was that we have had every known gluten free egg free everything free recipe known to man thrown at us in the past 48 hours.

Fear not flourless fans Ma went to ALDI and your scones are safe provided you do eggs.

Usually our feed is full of news from the homeland, animal stories and jokes about growing up in the seventies. I guess that’s because it’s what Ma opens and reads most.

Yesterday we got a good laugh when they all coincided.

See this giant bunny was found hoping around Dublin.

Right next to it was a do you remember these seventies slippers

Now are we sick or did anyone else wonder if that bunny still had it on its bum.

Ma always stresses a little when she has gluten free people to serve. When multiple allergies are concerned it’s an even bigger challenge. Most of the gluten free mixes that miraculously transform into something loosely resembling a scone or a cup cake call for eggs. When these too are not tolerated you need to try a new tactic.

So it was that Ma created the cornstarch scone. She added enough baking powder to the mix of starch and sugar and margarine and raisins and milk that the baked good puffed up like a balloon and had the texture and taste of polystyrene.

Dad and I had one to be sure they were fit for human consumption. I will stick with Nylas.

Still yesterday she served the creation and it was consumed. Adding jam and cream made it somewhat more succulent.

Auntie Marsha though, inspired by my post about Lord Ganesha, came up with something that was a sensational success.

Food for the Gods that fitted the bill to a TEA.

When Ma has her Kairos team formation meetings on Saturday we get a very short shift when it comes to walks in the morning as she is always in a big rush rush rushy.

Usually she’ll take us for a good trot to make up for the lack of steps when she gets back. Yesterday though that got scuppered because it was blowing such a gale we just got to the end of the street and back. We found our flag in the bushes and the flag pole hanging on to the wall by a thread.

Today it’s beautiful so I’m gave her the eye hoping for a long distance extravaganza.

Alas no it was another shortie as duty is calling at the tearoom. She has a party which is just as well as it makes up for lost business yesterday.

Nothing for it but to endure Nala with Nylas and maybe a nap!

On the rare occasion Jaws utters words of wisdom.

Her idea of moving south may have merit.

Seems that my major competitors are both down there.

This Sea-to-Lake joint where the Donald hangs out was also the doings of a woman and it wasn’t Melania.

Did you know that the 58 bedroom palace by the sea was built by Marjory Merriweather Post who was the mastermind behind General Foods.

A true rags to riches story if ever there was one she went from sticking labels on her family’s coffee substitute jars to being one of the richest people in the world.

Now what could I get Jaws working on? She might just be my port in this stinking storm that just won’t go away.

Precious Peeps it’s PITS. Hope y’all are ready for a cracker of a weekend.

Here it’s just rain rain and more rain until Sunday and that bugs me no end.

All I have for fun is watching the wild life out the window.

The old Gizz just lies around sleeping.

He’s absolutely boring as a bone can be!

Maybe I’ll pack up and move to Florida or somewhere where they have Tikki Huts and cocktails.

I’m so sick of scones and tea!

Wagging Tail-1050

I am about to make a very profound statement: “you don’t need to look out the window to know there’s a storm”

We dogs smell it coming. For humans it’s seeing the lightening first, then a rumble in the distance, next a big old clap of thunder and finally the rain.

I love it when it happens at this time of day because you can lie warm in bed and snuggle up listening to it all yet still feel safe.

This morning as we do just that I was thinking of our dear deer. They are probably all together in the woods taking shelter.

I wonder do they get frightened?

Wherever they are right now they’re getting a good soaking. They’ll be sparkling come Sunday!

If we, make that Ma, comes across anything from China, India or Ireland on Netflix we all have to watch it.

So it was that last night she hit on the ELEPHANT WHISPERERS.

In a nutshell this lovely little couple take care of an abandoned baby elephant who is in terrible shape. He is called Rhagu and he survives.

They are then given an even tinier baby to take care of and she too survives but the park rangers then take Rhagu away and the people are heart broken.

It is a beautiful tale of love and loss and kindness and caring. Had something of a calming effect on certain people.

Now here’s the funny thing. When they were feeding the babies they made big balls of sweetened food and placed them in the elephant’s mouth. Ma said to Dad that it looked to all intents and purpose like the ladoos Lord Ganesha holds. Whose he I asked? I’d like to see him.

Well guess what cousin Krishna sent us this morning. A picture of the good Ganesha himself with a whole plate of sweeties.
