Today is Diwali when Hindu tradition has it that a dreadful demon was expunged from the face of the universe.

I tried with little avail to take out the evil that surrounds me a few times already this morning.

She gets in my face all the time and copies my ever move. Even barks at potential intruders who vire close to our property line.

I couldn’t be more sick of her if she was a cat.

Fortunately no one is on her side today not even the bro.

While he slept overnight she chewed up part of his lego star wars pieces that he had made over the years and that take pride of place in his room.

Made me gloat with gladness that did. It will teach him for bringing her into my world.

It’s official Dad is a dinosaur. He is older than most trees.

For his birthday he got to go for some blood letting.

What a treat on such a beautiful day.

It was GREAT because I got to ride in the car!

The bigearred longtailed demon was left home eating kibble.

On the way back we stopped and got gigantic donuts.

My Dad is definitely my absolute favorite person. He shared everything with me except the chocolate frosting.

The nememsis niece was asleep so wasn’t present to pester us.

We kept her and the bro a morsel since we are renowned for our generosity!

Another old photo came out of the woodwork yesterday.

The current minister at the Parish Church Mom goes to in Ireland found a real ancient piece of history.

It dates from 1974 when Ma was confirmed.

Can you spot her?

I think its so funny.

I have it on good authority that it was a great day even though she looks serious.

A huge number of buns were eaten at this really special place.

Wonder if I could have a ceremony too to demonstrate my faith.

There’d be snacks for sure

As the sun rises on November we have another special day that is often overlooked by most people including us.

In the past it was a big deal.

It’s ALL SAINTS DAY!

The niece is definitely not one, nor is the bro or my Ma.

My Dad though he is definitely one because he always shares with me even when he risks getting an earful from Ma.

This year Ma says she got a special gift for the day from her cousin Barbara.

It’s a photo of Barbara and her husband Trevor’s wedding that took place exactly fifty years ago.

It’s full of family saints! What a treat to see all those faces.

Ma showed me Granny who was only 51 then which might explain the funky checked coat! She is beside my great Granny and many aunties and uncles who have passed the rainbow bridge. No sign of my Grandpa though.

Mom has a hunch he may have sneaked off for a pint but he was still up there with the best of them even if he is out of the picture!

I’m getting this in early because it is Halloween and I’m hoping for lots if treats.

The banshee is an obvious choice for the niece.

However, the bro is planning to be the tin man so his daughter will appear as Toto! Ugly!

I will be myself as I am sufficiently well known and famous.

Ma as always will be a witch. She has the chin for it needs no makeup!

The thing is always getting me in trouble.

If its not Ma huffing with me about roughIng her up its Dad screaming about racing round the room after her. Disrupts his oxygen.

She puts on this ”butter wouldn’t melt in my mouth” look.

But she got sussed today.

A big lump of innards from a toy she has been eating was stuck to her lips!

I had a great big smirk on my face when Ma told her off and chased her back to the snoring bro!

To say that today is nasty is an understatement. Pouring.

The tike would not walk further than our front yard.

She is not speaking to me.

Nor is Mom as I had a go at the niece last night and scratched her on the nose and cheek close to her eye.

Ma ate the face of me and hasn’t spoken to me since.

She is being a little unfair as the reason for my displeasure was that the niece tried to get up close and personal with Mom during my snuggle time with her.

All you can do in times like these is remember the beauty of days past like the lovely outing Ma had with me this week when we drove through the country to my beauty parlor.

Sometimes you need the contrast to see the glory.

Hi Lovelies this is your favorite pitty pups Nala!

Yesterday I suffered severe trauma.

My uncle and hero the mighty Scooby the scruffy disappeared.

I cried all day and gazed out the window.

Eventually after much praying, close to six in the evening, the door opened and in came my Granny G with a strange skinny creature I had never seen before.

Having sniffed his neck all I could get was lavender.

The rear approach helped me identify that it was my beloved leader and Emperor!

He is now reestablished on his throne and I am once more happy and secure.

Don’t say a word but he sure looks naked to me!

There’s early rising and then there is too early rising.

This morning at two o’clock alarms started going off.

The power had gone off so Dads oxygen generating machine started screaming.

The power company estimated restoration by six but you never know.

We got Dad on his little portable tank but then we realized that we didn’t know how to switch the flow controller to the bigger cylinder.

One had a gasket but the other two didn’t. We were green!

The bro googled how to make the switch and was confident he could handle the one with the gasket but we were worried if we needed the others how we should connect them.

So we called the providers of the equipment and they called us back. Poor people had to wake up a technician to give us the instructions.

No sooner had he called than the juice was back on.

Back to bed and in all of this the tike never stirred!

PS secretary was so overwrought she forgot to push publish button!

There are all sorts of days.

So this morning Ma whispered in my ear, while we were having a snuggle, that we’d make October 25th the ”Love Your Nemesis Nala Day”

After all the same sun rises on us all.

Ma had been inspired by the sermon Pastor Justin and Pastor Katya preached together yesterday. If you’d like to hear it here’s the link.

The niece is making some progress I must say like not eating hedgehogs.

She annoyed Dad something shocking though this morning, spilled his coffee all over everthing.

Knowing she was in deep trouble she pinned her ears back and snuck off to the brother’s bedroom.

That was a cue for Ma and me to go out in the car.

We had nearly run out of poop bags. As you all know what goes in must come out and a lot goes into mega mouth.

So we went to the dollar store.

We got her a new leash which was terrible generous of us.

Hope she understands all my treat money is holding her tight!
