Precious Peeps it’s Pits Perfect.

I know some of you were anxious thinking I might have gone walk about and been adopted by alternative humans but that was not me who appeared in the dog pound mug shots. I fully understand as Miss Magnolia does indeed bear a striking resemblance to my good self.

Perfection though has some subtle differences and of course I’m too smart to pitch this palace for any other lodging.

So I hear y’all ask what have you been up to? Well as spring is approaching I’ve been cleaning the sofa’s. They taste so good this time of year. Think it’s the fall out from the salt on the roads not to mention the snacks Granny eats each evening.

I’ve also been thinking seriously about taking up hunting. Yesterday there were no less than nine deer grazing in our back yard.

Can you imagine if I caught just one of them I’d have enough raw hide and jerky to keep me going for eternity.

Granny would have to get out the Mr Proper though as I’d no longer have the yearning to lick sofas. She doesn’t appreciate me and my natural enzyme solutions nearly enough.

Shortly after pontificating on the joys of taking out the trash we tuned in to news from ancient Egypt.

Archeologists have discovered a secret tunnel deep in the depths of the great pyramid.

Seems it’s some sort of triangulated structure holding up an underground chamber.

Now my guess is they’ll find that those pyramids were made with the help of extraterrestrials.

See all this recent business about UFOs that’s just getting us all set for the big reveal.

What is in the chamber? Maybe an invitation to another galaxy. Maybe a Spaceship design. That would really get Elon’s nose out of joint.

Regardless I am certain that the ETs looked like me or someone close to me but for heavens sake don’t tell her or she’ll get an even bigger wire about herself.

Thursday as you know by now is trash day. Ma and I get the garbage out to the curb as soon as we great up.

Now as you also know it doesn’t take much to make Ma happy.

So it was this morning.

As we were taking the second bin of recyclables down the drive Ma says to me « aren’t we lucky Scoob it’s only six thirty and it’s already daylight ».

Now I’m not one to poor cold water on a sunny disposition but heck how can you be happy about taking out trash? Just breathe Scooby I tell myself and be kind.

Watching for the pick up and chasing the big gobbler now that’s what I call fun!!!!

We haven’t walked as much since lock down. There is only so much Netflix a human can take.

It’s easy to tell when we are set for a super session as Ma puts on the « Walking Long » selection.

I know those songs by heart.

Sometime she shuffles them that provides some excitement but we only gig to DANCING QUEEN.

I’m hoping my pretty little baby cousin Dolly has a good play list because she’s doing a walking challenge.

Isn’t she beautiful.

I may have to pay a visit to England to meet her.

Can you marry your cousin?

We were just finalizing a fine siesta yesterday afternoon when we were rudely awakened by alarms.

These weren’t coming from our clock but from outside. Tornadoes!!!

Quickly on goes our favorite weatherman and it’s a bit puzzling because the nearest tornado risk was twenty miles to the west.

Funny but anyway Ma decides I should eat quickly and she should get me out before these things get closer.

So I bolt down the dinner we rush out and do the business and then we give Mega her dinner and repeat.

Except in the space of seconds the heavens opened and Ma and Meg got soaked. I smirked.

No tornadoes came our way but they hit hard elsewhere.

Knowing threats had passed we relaxed for the evening.

In the middle of the night though it felt like a hurricane was coming through. The wind was powerful. No alarms though so we could breathed easy and rolled over.

Precious Peeps it’s PITS PERFECT.

It is so exhausting being good.

Keeping quiet is hard for a hip hellion like me.

I was working so hard on nursing Grandpa that I clean wore myself out.

All those stupid shows that Granny likes would sedate an elephant. All day yesterday it was Andy Warhol!!

I can’t wait till she’s back at work and we can get watching Grandpas favorite Judge Judy and listen to a good old fight.

She’s my role model that lady and I think her outfit would be just perfect on me! Love that lace!

Now if you had five days off work I bet you’d do some housework. Like maybe some dusting or window cleaning or vacuuming. Well Ma decided that, at present, this might further irritate the inflamed sinuses so we should get fresh air instead.

Hence we went for an extra long walk. Her theory is that the cold air will kill the critters causing the COVID.

We then needed extensive rest on our return so we scoured Netflix and hit on a new docuseries about Marilyn. It’s surprisingly good. Quite a lot of new news even for an ardent Marilyn maniac like Mum.

Thereafter we, make that she, ate all the leftover stew from three nights ago to which enough pepper was added to activate even the tiredest tastebud. I maintained a safe distance.

This copious quantity of food induced sleep which is vital for recovery.

Once refreshed we made tandoori chicken and let it marinade while we sought something else to binge watch.

THE CHOSEN was chosen. Poor Dad thought it was never ending little does he know it was only the first series.

That dog of Saint Matthews bears something of a resemblance to a certain party I know who is no angel.

I’m wondering what today will hold. It’s so unusual to have nothing to do.

I have been called to the nursing profession. Presidential Campaigning has been postponed for the next five days.

See Ma and Pa are laid up.

On Thursday following a dripping of the nose Ma decided she must stick something up it and used one of her government issued COVID tests to see if by chance she had been smitten with the dreaded lurgy.

Alas, after THREE full years of running the gambit the pink line popped.

Hoping against hope that the test might be wrong she booked a rendezvous at the Minute Clinic for Friday morning.

Positive confirmed by medical professional!

She snagged the antiviral meds and has started pumping those into Dad who is coughing like Marlboro Man.

Five days isolation followed by five days masking lie ahead.

Missing the first of the six Kairos team formation meetings for the Spring weekend not to mention a BIG birthday party on Sunday at the tearoom has left her in a less than gracious mood.

Must say I’m not sad to have her home even if she is a little hotter than usual to snuggle.
