We are feeling sad this morning as one of our relatives, cousin Lindy Boy, passed over the rainbow bridge.

The lad had a life that most of us dream of.

He went boating and camping and hiking and swimming heck he even had his own hammock to hang out in.

We know our auntie Laura and cousin Laurel are heartbroken.

We want to pay tribute to them for the great life they gave Lindy he was one of the very best buddies a human could wish for.

Now he is with those other nears and dears who took the big journey to get things ready for the rest of us.

Blessing#1622-Companions

Do you see a tear in my eye?

It may have been Presidents Day yesterday and National Love Your Pet Day to boot but I was gravely injured.

In the process of picking up Pits Poop first thing in the morning Ma stood on my poor left tootsie.

I screamed so loud I frighten Jaws.

Ma was terribly apologetic but I was limping for a little while.

When I saw my pal Rémy heading my way along with his Ma and Auntie Denise I knew we were in for a seriously good trot.

So I put my best foot forward and headed courageously all around the big circle!

Take a lesson from me. Forget any pains you may have be they in the toe or in the butt and just march onwards.

Blessing#1621-Braving It

Precious Peeps it’s Princess here getting your work week off to a happy start.

All day yesterday I was with my humans. So much togetherness is to be treasured but a tad tiring.

We watched movies and had snacks.

I snuggled beside Dad and then beside Grandpa and then, so she wouldn’t be jelly, I gave Granny a snuggle too.

All this loving clean did me in. I just could not keep my eyes open after a while. Fell fast asleep on top of my best bone.

A nice nap helped and then we had an afternoon trot to wet the appetite for a steak and chips dinner. Just the smell of it does my heart good.

I closed my eyes and if I’m not mistaken I ate some too in the land of nod. Hope y’all have a week like my Sunday.

Precious Peeps it’s Princess here getting your work week off to a happy start.

I love Sunday as Mum’s home most of the day.

I have a good yawn and a stretch and a snuggle first off and then decide where we’ll go for our walk.

When we get back I hang out with “Trouble” and we put the world to right.

Sometimes we tell a few jokes.

Sometimes we just play silly.

All this relaxing gets me in a good mood for Monday when I know I’ll have to get back to the business of building my strategy.

It definitely will include obeisance of the fourth commandment. The BIG wolf is smart.

Blessing#1619-Day of Rest

When I’m elected I’m going to pawduce a bill to stop this crazy global warming.

Two days ago whether you work in centigrade or Fahrenheit you could have walked around our block with your shorts on if you were a human but this morning you’ll need six layers and a balaclava.

Poor old Ma she was just getting all happy with the joys of spring and then boom it was winter once more.

I told her “just stick with us”

Pretend you’re of a different breed and chill.

So she went to work with her jungle gear on hoping it heats things up for her!!!!!

Didn’t that get your weekend off to a great start to have me instead of the stinky grumpy old Gizz.

Blessing #1617-Tips

It’s the 16th and it’s Ma’s birthday and we got her lots of her fav candles and a plant! Well actually the bro got them as we aren’t allowed into the shops!!!!

Her blessings have reached 1616 which she thinks is the reason she still thinks like she’s 16 but she’s not.

In fact she is quite ancient.

I gazed at her with great sympathy. This is my “I understand the aged and will take care of you” presidential look.

The “THING” just smacked her a big one on the lips.

Should help strengthen her immune system for a few more decades. If nothing else it keeps her smiling.

Hope you were as kind to your Valentine as we were to Mom.

We got her lots of cards.

Mine was the funniest the bro helped me pick it and paw it.

The candy tree got filled to capacity with her favorites.

This made her so sweet that she took me for a ride in the car.

When we got home we had a little restie and then grabbed the niece by the neck and went for a super sized afternoon trot.

Did about 6000 steps must have worked off at least two of those chocs

Blessing#1615-Miles to Go

Happy Valentines Day everyone.

Nala and I decided for one day we will issue a joint statement of love to y’all!

I guess faking it will come in handy when I’m president.

Anyway we have something in common to share apart for our love of sweets.

Yesterday when we were out trotting we happened on something quite rare.

A beautiful red headed woodpecker.

It made us wonder why God put that red head on that bird because it makes it standout out like a sore thumb.

Maybe it’s a disguise or camouflage.

Maybe it’s meant to look like an apple or a cherry on a tree.

It sure had the color of love written all over it. Wasn’t making any noise just sitting there.
