Wagging Tail-593

See this Christmas time I could do it all year round.

Everyday you get more gifts

Yesterday Auntie Karen from across the street brought us these GIGANTIC pies.

They are the size of a small table! Ma said she’d never in all her life had seen bigger ones.

I just dreamed of nomnoming them.

So it was, like in all good fairy tales, that this morning my wish was granted. Dad had to go to get his blood work done so as soon as we got back we dug into the pumpkin.

A very balanced breakfast indeed.

The demonic presence had been returned to her chambers to snore with the bro while we all went to the doctors. So we had peace to eat!

Dad is so good at sharing. When she is not around he is particularly generous.

Heck this morning even Ma couldn’t finish all that was on her plate.

What a great start to the holidays.

Tonight we’ll try the apple with some ice cream once we have put the niece to rest.

See how that little dose of yumminess made me so suddenly sweet.

Hi fans! Pretty Pitty pups here.

Apologies for the late post but I’ve been suffering.

As I may have mentioned I love ice cubes they are so refreshing and crunchy.

Well last night when no one was looking I dove into the ice in my Grandpa’s glass.

He has this stuff with his ice cubes every night.

Of course I had to sip some of it to get at the glaçons! Je parle français comme tous les belles femmes!

Oh dear my Granny went ballistic when she caught me.

Started screaming at my Dad that I’d be sick and he was going to clean it up because she’d had enough of me.

If I hadn’t felt so happy I’d have been so sad.

I was full of beans for about five minutes and then boom I started to feel strange.

My ears went all funny. Granny took a video of me to show you the effect.

I did still eat by Nala Nyla as I didn’t want the grey gizzard to get the wrong impression.

I wasn’t long awake after that and have had this most horrendous headache every since.

Now I’m almost back to normal and ready for more fun tonight.

Cheers Gramps!

Mum and me got such a lovely surprise this morning.

We were sneaking around quietly for me to get my first pee of the day well before dawn.

To our delight and surprise we discovered a package on our front porch.

Santa had come early

We got busy unwrapping all the gifts.

They were so beautiful.

We hung one on the Christmas tree well out of the rascals reach.

We put the gorgeous glass bauble with some other major treasures and it’s going to be like our little planet earth on display all year long. Too special to keep for just one season.

The jelly will be yummied up on Christmas Day and the napkins placed strategically to wipe out lips.

We are so delighted with these things and love the people who left them very much indeed.

Ma and me woke up at 5:15 but decided to snuggle and think about food rather than jump out of bed.

As we have to scone this morning and she works this afternoon at the antique mall we thought about an easy dinner.

The big ham we had last a Sunday is still giving. It’s like the fish at the feeding of the five thousand it just keeps on giving.

So we decided to get to grips with it and strip it to the bone.

The bones are being boiled. I could have crunched them nicely but Ma doesn’t give me bones incase they stick in my throat.

Instead she cut up all the little fatty bits and made little lardons out of them that will be going into my dinner this week to tempt me to “eat up Scooby”.

It started with my breakfast.

It was yummy and such a good way to start the Christmas week.

All this before the dragon stirred.

Ma was making shortbread all morning. I nearly dripped to death and she only gave me a crumb.

I fought with the demon who was also salivating and she went for my throat like it was steak.

Tore off my jewels. Fortunately Ma rescued them before she ate them up!

When Ma got the last tray in the oven she sat done with a drop of tea to look at her emails.

I was gazing over her shoulder reading her email and I saw it.

Could my wish have been granted even before the big bearded one arrives. Are they going to sell her!

Alas I fear the bro is too attached. Dad though is definitely on my side.

We agreed we’d settle down and watch a great performance.

That VonTrapp man could take the demon in hand. In the meantime I’ll have to hum my favorite things.

It’s really great this new version of a classic. Put the beast to sleep in no time and made Ma happy too.

Hi y’all it’s your favorite Pitty pups publishing today.

Have you missed me? I understand it must be hard to listen to that old grey gizzard every day!

I’ve been super busy eating and am now less than one pound short of grumpy’s weight.

He does not know what I have in store for him when I’m fully grown.

You should see my teeth! Enough of him anyway.

I’ve got this great new experience in my life. Food that doesn’t disappear.

As you know Auntie Denise magiced this up for us.

I love her so much and jump on her every morning.

Just when your feeling bored and sad having had your dinner Ma jumps up and tosses these indestructible osi on the floor for me and the aloof wolf to get to grips with.

He tries to assert himself and take both tibiae but I’m too talented to allow that.

I do a quick fart, he heads to the door for air and I grab one.

Now I’m not greedy as he’d have you believe.

All I want is my fair share.

Kept me busy right through till bedtime without a single snarl. Truly this is the stuff of dream. It’s like doggie chewing gum!

We were all vegging around last night after stuffing ourselves with Olive Garden take away when Mom got a text.

It was from Auntie Denise.

She had left us our Christmas stockings at the front door.

We were so excited. It perked us right up!

Each of us got a gigantic Nyla Bone.

We each took to our corner and peace ensued.

It was still and calm like silent night and for once Ma got to watch a movie without going mad.

It was called The Darkest Hour. All about a battle fought a very long time ago.

How ironic that for once there was a ceasefire at home!

We look forward to more chewing this evening and perhaps a lighter bit of entertainment with dogs in it.

Big day at the ranch.

The bro is 21.

He’s a good soul. Generally good natured.

We got him a chocolate cake for his brekkie.

We aren’t allowed to eat that.

We helped him blow out his candle though and ate some of his white chocolate money!

He’s taking the day off work and so is Ma so they can go and do some serious eating and spend a penny.

Poor Dad can’t go but we’re taking care of him and we’ll all be getting take out tonight too so we can all enjoy. You never know what might pop out of the box!

I have been promoted and given additional responsibilities.

The snowman was an insufficient deterrent to keep jaws away from the Christmas tree. So far, from what we have seen, she has eaten a frosty bauble and a disco style along with part of the tree skirt. The extent of the destruction may be greater as there are so many danglers on the fir it’s hard to say unless you catch her noshing down.

She will be evicted from the premises if caught once more.

Maybe she’ll do us all a favor and eat the lights. A nice little electric shock or better still electrocution would go down well.

Ma is past herself shouting at her.

I’m just glad I can help my ancient P.

Definitely Santa will not be dropping off anything unless she shapes up sharp. Maybe that nasty cat uncle Sandy says roams around Iceland will come instead.

I’m so glad I found my Mom and adopted her because she needs all the love she can get.

She is a nutter.

She’ll try anything. Way too much shelf confidence.

Yesterday is a prime example. She can’t find anymore of that Christmas mince pie filling stuff in the stores so she says to Dad « I’ve got an idea, I’m going to do an experiment »

So she takes a cup of marmalade, fires into it some raisins and sultanas and enough cinnamon to sent a Starbucks for the season.

She makes her mince pies and they look lovely going into the oven.

She takes on that smug « I’m a baking genius » look and settles down with a cuppa to wait for the delight.

DISASTER!

The stuffing bubbles out all over the place.

So much so she can’t even get half the wretched things out of the pan. A few were rescued for Christmas Day.

Of course I’m now smirking as I know what’s coming my way. No waste in our place.

Of course I can’t have the fruity stuff as it’s « not good for dogs Scooby » but I get lots of the pastry pieces.

Sweet in fact very very very sweet! Dad loved them mushed up or not said they needed less chewing!

Goes without saying the bro ate them too as he’d eat anything that isn’t walking.

They were odd for my refined palate but certainly much better than the flying saucers she made for the niece and me. Those things we’re really very tough on the teeth but I nomnomed them anyway to spare her feelings.
