My secretary had just taken up her thumb to write my daily bulletin when the alarm sounded. Tornado.

So as we wrote we waited and listened and watched. It was like night and pouring.

We are lucky to have a basement.

Latest news a tornado is reported to have touched down in Delaware about ten miles from us and there is flooding.

It’s Labor Day and that means the end of summer so many people will be out. We texted the bro to make sure he listens for his local weather at Uni and takes shelter too as it’s moving his way. He didn’t answer us so we FaceTimed him and we were happy to see he is in the dorm with his roommates.

I’ll still keep an eye on the situation but seems the worst is passed for us here let’s just hope it keeps well away from the bro!

My big day was soooooooo BIG. I’ll never be two again but henceforth I will always look forward to birthdays.

It started at five thirty a.m. with a cuddle in bed with my Ma. Da was still sleeping and the bro, who had come especially to wish me well was buried doing who knows what in the basement.

Ma gave me grated cheese with my breakfast and then I did a few down dogs to mediate before Dad scratched my tummy and I met my pal PJ for our morning walk.

My bro cuddled me too and cooked me lunch what else but our favorite steakums!

Could life get better! Well sure if you can party with your gals.

Georgia and Josie came to wish me well. It was awesome and I am a super happy chappy!

I’ve been out cruising with my Ma and Pa today.

We went way out into the depth of the countryside to see if we could find some treasures at barn sales.

Dad was the first to strike gold. This doesn’t happen often as he is fussy.

He loves old maps and such and was very happy he found one. It’s about the Battle of Sinsheim that took place on June 16, 1674. Its a chalcographie from The Louvre and had seen better days but he snagged it for a big dollar. He is all chuffed with the detail!

It was in the trunk flat and secure until I saw a motorbike. That got me so excited I jumped right into the trunk and onto the map. The language was colorful kinda like the flower pot Ma found.

How was I to know a piece of dirty old paper meant to much to my Pa!

I’m forgiven now and looking forward to my big day tomorrow.

Wonder was that why we made that stop at Trader Joe’s for all that fizzy stuff Ma guzzles.

Just as long as I get meat I don’t mind!

My bro came back here this morning with his laundry and I was so excited to see him I started dancing on the table.

We took a ride together to the project. I think I’d make a good receptionist.

That warm smile and welcoming demeanor is not something many are gifted with. I won’t give the snarl unless it’s absolutely necessary.

I did such a great job I got a ride to the dog park and returned just in time to see the bro leave with his fresh washed laundry.

His room mates will appreciate his efforts. I kinda like the original version.

I was mortified when someone commented that the skirt herself was wearing matched me!

Initially my thoughts were how dare they? I am wearing a unique fur of extraordinary quality. Pure unadulterated animal. That skirt is made of a whimpy fluff ball plant!

Later though when she had left me with Dad and I was missing her I got to thinking that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

She can be a bit of a female dog at times and people do say that humans take on their canines appearance!

All she needs is a perm and a few highlight and we’d be like Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee! Do you think she’d let me do her hai

We are friends again snuggling and smiling and hugging each other.

I need to take care of her and keep a close watch on her spending.

I’ve decided to put a firm paw on her purse. She is out buying way too much before she has got her head around the whole project.

Each day brings a new wake up call. Today it came from the architect. She is stressed and stunned so I’m being super kind.

I happened to snooze off this afternoon so she snatched it and escaped and bought a few additional items. Her first mismatched tea cup and yet another little piece of art.

If she continues at this rate there will be no need for any paint on those wall!

My tail is not wagging! I’m absolutely furious.

Remember herself and I were outside waiting for the fridge to get fixed. Well while there I was reclining against her holiness when she discovered I had plant burrs imbedded in the fur in my back legs.

Next thing I know she gets out the shears and starts razing me. I protested violently so she resorted to the scissor. Chopped me all over! You’ll be cooler dear! Too right cooler with you you monster!

Look at the result. What a mess I am in. Worse still all this when I was looking perfect and adorable to celebrate my birthday.

Now I’m like a mange infested mutt rather than a glorious golden Star!

I went underground again and last night didn’t sleep with her. I went underneath the bed as far away from her as I could get. When she got up in the middle of the night to pee and stuck her hand under the bed to coax me up beside her I snarled and pretended to bite her.

I’m really miffed with her. Just glad her stupid fridge is still not working. Serves her right for doing that to me.

We are on the banter earlier than usual today as we have nothing else to do.

Ma and I are locked out on the patio as there is an engineer here fixing our fridge freezer. Fortunately it is a lovely day with a gentle breeze and a perfect 78F

Our equipment’s been playing up for three weeks but this is the earliest we could get an appointment. Fortunately it’s under warranty as the compressor has gone belly up!

We are praying he can fix it today as we are having withdrawal symptoms from ice-cream. As soon as we get the green light we’ll be out the door like a shot to buy a big tub of the best vanilla!

Funny the things you take for granted like an ice cube on a hot day. I’m hoping to nosh into one of those too tonight.

In the meantime having walked miles with Auntie Lori this morning we have nothing else to do but watch the world go by and bark at a few passing baby bucks.

Oh and talk and talk and talk That woman never shuts up!

What a stellar day I had. Great sleep, up early, said hello to Venus while I had a leak! So bright right!

The breakfast was unique. Herself spilled my kibble all over the pantry. Not to worry it tasted good with all the extra dust added such flavor.

After a long walk I got a ride in the car and then settled in for a snooze with Dad while Ma went to work at the Antique Store.

She always feels a little guilty leaving me so when she came back we took another ride this time to the dog park.

FULL! Dogs everywhere! I worked off a million calories and then when I come home she fills my bowl with more of my crunchies and tops them off with chili. HOT and Mama!

Tell me. How would you feel if someone you loved came home with a substitute?

My nose is totally out of joint.

She went bargain hunting today and found this wooden hand made door stopper. Problem is it’s a dog and it’s bigger than I am.

She has such a nerve. I almost had a seizure.

Brings in all her new treasures to show off.

Look Scooby what do you think.

A quick sniff and it was clear.

One of her finds was just what she needed. I’ll have you know it’s not easy being her dog either!
