Ma as you know had her flu shot and Covid booster on Monday.
She’s so happy to have had both done at the same appointment. Highly efficient use of time. Good sport!
The only issue between you and me is that she can’t get comfortable in bed since both arms were shot.
Just as a matter of interest though she says the right arm hurts less than the left when she lies on it. Maybe because of the type of shot or because it’s the dominant arm used more than the other.
Regardless she’s keeping me awake at night so I’m an old sleepy grumpy paws.
Maybe I need to follow Mega’s example and do a bit of yoga.
Ma had to go to the pharmacy this morning to pick up more of Dad’s prescriptions.
I wanted to go but she said I had to stay home and take care of the niece.
After fighting some we decided to sleep as Dad doesn’t like taking care of us especially if we are having a run around. He gets grumpy.
Ma decided to get her Covid booster and flu shot while she was at the pharmacy.
She had to wait an hour so she did some grocery shopping.
She’s in a bad mood though because she hates waiting and they wouldn’t take her before her scheduled time even though no one was there.
I told her chill and to quit moaning.
She’d know her driver if she was waiting all day every day like me for someone to come home and free her from the confines of this prison of a house I’m in.
Especially when my cell mate is the producer of the stinkiest farts in the world.
Maybe I’ll call her and ask her to pick up some meds for her too.
Mom and me woke up at 5:30 this morning. We lay and had a cuddle and talked about being kind to those around us. At 5:50 we decided we’d get up and have a quiet brekkie before mega mouth made manifest.
Well the best laid plans never running smooth and all that swiftly swung into action.
Who did we meet but the bro.
“Are you just coming in now” Ma asks him.
“No” he says “I’m getting ready for work. I have to make dough.”That would be the literal sort! Seems they’ve already thousands of pizza orders to fill.
It’s the great rivalry game today in football Ohio State versus the team up north (for the uninitiated that’s Michigan). It is sort of like the rivalry between me and mega but not quite as great.
So what does all this mean for Mom and me? Well of course since the bro is up the mega is crying to get her brekkie too.
This is where those of you with a light stomach need to disconnect.
You see as soon as the vacuum sucks up the kibble it has to be emptied.
This can be taken care of and removed when there is light in the sky but when it’s pitch black it can result in the creation of unidentifiable minefields in our yard.
Ma marks these potential stinkers with brightly colored bags filled with stones and then recovers the production when she can see it.
However, with the sun setting early in the evening and Ma only getting home after dark, we’d run out of mine markers such is the production of the beast.
That’s when Ma and me had to get creative. What can we find at this time of morning to make more markers.
Brainwave!
What do we have lots of?
What else but empty pill boxes!
Dad you don’t know how much you helped us! You really diffused a potentially stinky situation!
Greetings good people. Nala your Pitty Pups reporting today!
We had a very short trot this morning as the ground is covered in white stuff.
It tastes like ice cubes and I enjoy licking it.
It does give your feet a funny feeling though. They get sort of burnie.
Granny says I move like a Lipizzaner well today gave that a whole new meaning. I was dancing!
I nearly took the old soul of her feet a few times. Better be careful because if she’s down we will get no outings! See I’m smarter than you all think!
The uncle says this is just the start of tootsie trouble. It’s going to get worse before it get better and I need to toughen up.
My Dad is giving me some strategies that the Eskimos use.
He is my hero. Love him so much I just smacked him one.
Go figure he adopted a gobbler so hardly needs another one.
That left a lot of space in our oven as the salmon we are having will only need an hour.
So Ma decided to make Dad his favorite muffins and the bro some sausage rolls for breakfast.
They looked kinda dodgy. I think I should have had them as they are definitely seconds if not thirds. He declared them delicious and shared only a meager crumb.
Anyway all this delayed our walk till 8:30 and resulted in a first.
We got caught in the Powell Annual Turkey Trot on our way back from the park.
I behaved well as the hundreds of runners wound their way through our neighboring neighborhood. The niece wanted to run with them and tugged us along for half a mile.
Her neck is now nearly as long as a turkeys so I’m giving it a nibble while we watch the Macy’s parade.
Hope you have a great day. I plan on eating as much as possible. There will be no waste here as the walking waste disposal unit will take care of that!
Ma is on the war path. We got into a tangle on our walk this morning when we spotted some venison on the move and we nearly broke her pinky. It’s taken on a peculiar allure.
She screamed blue murder at us and vowed that we were going to be kept in check from now on.
She went shopping and is now back with two retractable leashes for monster dogs.
One is made in Germany and Ma says that’s for me as it should be of excellent quality and hold me tighter than a straight jacket. I’m definitely number one puller in this place.
She will be in for a shock if it’s as feeble as it wrapping because the niece noshed that up in no time.
The dark side is getting a made in China but it’s also for a hundred pounder so it should hold her tight for a time too.
Secretly we are happy to have these new gizmos because our old leashes were way to short and no fun at all.
We’re going to test them out this afternoon in the sunshine. We’ll be good at least until pinky has straight!
